Better Air NW

Went great. Shawn did our duct cleaning. He is very professional and explained all steps in process as well as point out minor fixes we may need to take care of. This company is lucky to have him.

They arrived on time and gave me a summary of what they needed to do and worked with me to make sure my cats wouldn't get in the way when I moved them into one of the bedrooms. The odd smell in the house is gone and the dryer vent is significantly improved with the amount of gunk they were able to push out.

Everything went ok until the very end when they told me they couldn't clean the dryer vent because they couldn't reach it. Now I have to pay $125-$150 and take more time off of work to hire a different company for the dryer vent. Also, I gave them the Angie's List coupon for free sanitation and they still charged me for it!! If I knew I was going to have to pay for it I wouldn't have added the service. For these reasons I would not recommend hiring them.

We did some remodeling when we bought our house and who knows how long it had been since the last cleaning...so our ducts were DIRTY. They were very nice! Came out to do the work after the online estimate, but the worker was confused about our ducting and thought we needed more than half a day to do the work. We easily rescheduled. The next crew said it wouldn't take longer than the normal half day, and was able to complete the work in a couple hours (and it wouldn't cost more). The price was a little high compared to other estimates I received, but I liked reading their reviews and my sister recommended them to me (they had a broken duct that was discovered as they were cleaning and they did not charge them for the work done since they couldn't complete the service - very awesome). We were pleased with the service. The areas around the vents were a little dirty on our (almost white) carpet, but some scrubbing (from me) got them all cleaned up. Our now clean ducts are more efficient at heating the house and we are very happy with the cleaning! I feel safer that my kids aren't breathing in that filth... I would recommend this company, but would ask them to make sure there is no mess left around/near the vents.

Very professional and prompt service. They were thorough and I felt reassured to have the service done. I also appreciated that they were able to fit me in on short notice, as I had just purchased a new washer and dryer, and I was hoping to get things cleaned before the installation.

Shawn, the tech, arrived alter than expected but called ahead to notify us of his delay - which was greatly appreciated. After having a year of demolition and construction done at my house I knew that it would be a good idea to have the heating vents cleaned out before getting fully moved back in. Justin and Ryan were great. They arrived on-time, answered all my questions, and were respectful of my house and property. I really couldn't have asked for more.

Ryan and Cory arrived on time at 8am. I showed them around the house and they start immediately. They used a vacuum first, then sealed the vents and used pressure air to clean up. It took about 2.5 hours to finish the task, during which Ryan or Cory dropped by 2-3 times to explain to me about their progress. During the cleaning, it was a little bit noisy because of the machines, which was expected. The house kept clean/no dust in the air. They showed me the dust that was cleaned up. I am glad that it was way cleaner than I thought. I saw my cat's hair in the dust collected, which addressed my major concern that the cat hairs would blow into the air once the heater is turned on. For the dryer, I did not notice when they did the job since I was busy doing some other task. Ryan told me it was not too dirty. Before they leave, Ryan gave me suggestions that the air duct may need to be cleaned every 3-5 years depending on the condition. Ryan and Cory did a great job today and I would recommend them to my friends as well. P.S. I read from other online posts about the hidden cost for some companies. To confirm, there is no hidden cost from Better Air NW. Actually, I used the Angieslist coupon and got the Dryer vent cleaning for free.

We have never had our vents cleaned in 23 years. We were getting a new furnace so decided we should. Found this company on Angie's list and had great reviews on Yelp as well. Justin was nice and professional. He explained whole process first. It took 4 hours. He cleaned our dryer vent and there was a huge pile of lint! Total fire hazard. So happy we did it. Highly recommend them!

Justin did a terrific job! He showed up on time, I showed him the vents and furnace, we discussed what he would do and he got to work. He worked so hard cleaning for hours. I've had them cleaned since I've lived here but he found things in the ducts that were there from the previous owners (bb toys and pictures). I guess the previous cleaners didn't do such a great job. I will certainly hire Better Air NW again.

Great! The team showed up on time, were very professional and explained everything they were going to do. They were very careful to keep my house clean, took their shoes off and put furniture back in place. I bought my house 3 years ago and I was surprised at the amount of debris in the ducts. The price was exactly as quoted and I received the dryer vent cleaning free with the Angies list coupon. I can breathe easier!

This company has a lot of great reviews for a reason. They are very professional, easy to get in touch with, and do a great job. I also appreciated that they don't try to sell any additional, unnecessary service. Extra points for honesty- as a new home owner I was not sure how often I needed to get ducts cleaned, but Justin said an interval of a number of years is just fine for our home, when he could have said more frequently. I was even able to continue working from home while they did the cleaning with very minimal disruption. I would (and will) absolutely hire them again.
