The only down side to both projects was getting on Allied's schedule. They are busy because, I suspect, they are good. They were on time, curteous, clean and moved fast to get the project done. They were very honest and answered questions, made good suggestions and really stayed on top of the project. Paul the project manager, was very easy to get a hold of and was very responsive. They even took a look, with a video camera, at our sewer line to make sure it was working properly. The cleanliness thing is huge when you are talking about cutting the cement floor in your basement, digging down to the footing and then back filling with gravel and sand along with plumbing. They did an amazing job and hardly left anything behind in the way of dirt, dust and debris. Price wasn't cheap, but considering the man hours, equipment and materials involved, it didn't feel like it was over the top. Pricing felt in-line with my basic calculations. Great experience. I hope we don't need to call them again because our drainage issues have been eliminated!
Description of Work: On two separate structures, we had water proofing and drainage (french drain) installed as well as a sump pump installed.

Paul's estimate was the best of three we got for the job. His team did a beautiful job: even though they had to dig a trench across our yard, they left the place looking better than it did on arrival, with minimal disruption to landscaping. We couldn't be happier with result and will absolutely work with Allied in the future if we need help.
Description of Work: Installed two catch-basins in yard and tied into existing drainage system.

Very well. Paul is straighforward and quick. He was in touch with the job through the entire process, and they made the adjustments needed to hold the job to a reasonable budget and within the predicted timing. As with all contracting for work, make certain you tell Paul what you know about the job and the situation, help them to define the scope of work, and your expectations. Everyone worked hard. Everyone was cordial, accommodating, and responsive. Good people. I have no hesitation recommending them to others, and will use Allied Waterproofing again myself.
Description of Work: The crew from Allied Waterproofing replaced a collapsed section of sewer near the house. The situation required locating the section of damaged pipe (they have an electronic scope), digging out the area to make the repair, completing the repair and installing a new cleanout (after adjusting the job for an unknown and unexpected site condition between the two houses), then restoring the landscaping and cleaning up the area to the satisfaction of the immediate neighbors and us.

As the secretary of our HOA, I was so pleased with how easy this was. Paul's team came out after the holidays, worked h****** the project, and finished it easily. It looks great, and we'll call this company first next time we have problems with our drains or catch basins!
Description of Work: Our neighborhood is made up of 20 homes on a private street. Our 35 year old street has problems, but we were all really concerned with one catch basin that was beginning to sink down. We called a few different companies to take a look at it. Allied gave us the best bid, first by price, but also by detailed of work to be done. If it's helpful to you, here is the exact bid, copied directly: Problem: Portion of the road (adjacent to the catch basin) has settled. In addition there is a large hole in the catch basin wall. To correct this deficiency we propose to repair the hole in the catch basin wall and raise settled portion of the road. Project description We propose to saw cut and remove settled portion of the black top adjacent to the affected catch basin (within 2-feet of the catch basin). Damaged wall of the catch basin will be excavated and repaired using concrete mix reinforced with wire mesh. The excavated/settled portion of the area will be backfilled and compacted with 5/8-inch minus crashed rock. The asphalt will be restored to direct run-off water to the catch basin. Upon completion of the project the site that is affected by our project, will be restored to as close to its original condition as practical. Total price: $ 1,190.00 plus tax

It went great. Paul and his crew were on time and very professional. They worked well with/around another contractor who was replacing my driveway. There was one minor item that we discussed, but was missed during the original work. A quick call to Paul, and the next day, one of the crew was out to correct the oversite. I could not have asked for better customer service, and would recommend Paul's company to any of my friends or family. Thanks again Paul, and sorry for the late report!!!
Description of Work: Removed and replaced clogged/damaged exterior drain lines, and replaced old driveway catch basin. Also installed new connecting drain line and routed entire system to connect with sewer line.

Allied Waterproofing did a great job solving our drainage issues. I got three proposals for fixing a couple of drainage problems in our front yard. Allied's was the best proposal of the three. Paul told me he "knew drainage" and I believe him! The employees that did the job were very hard working and pleasant to deal with. They re-routed run-off from our driveway and from a neighbor's property. The systems are working well and I am very pleased with the results. And they did an excellent job of cleaning up the area when they were finished. I would highly recommend them.

Paul came by soon after my initial call to give me an estimate. He helped to think through various repair options for drainage and clarified exactly what I needed. The work was scheduled for about two weeks out, which was fine. When the day came to get the work started-- some serious digging after the concrete was removed, we had one of the biggest, nastiest storms I've seen in this area. The workers didn't slow down a bit-- they continued with the project and were not delayed by the weather. There was a short delay in laying in the gravel as the soil needed to dry a bit-- it really was a muddy mess with the rain. They did a great job of cleaning up the area when the work was finished. The cost came in right in line with the original estimate. I'd use them again if another project came up.

Called Allied Waterproofing to see if they take care of checking for blocked undergound drains from the gutters. I talked with Paul and he told me they would inspect the drains and if there were no additional problems they would be able to do the work for approximately $295.00. He emailed an estimate form within an hour of my phone call and had a crew out the next day. The best customer service I have experienced in a long time, very much appreciated! The crew was professional and had the work completed in less than two hours. In addition to taking care of the blocked drain they cleaned the gutters, which was unexpected and I greatly appreciated, since the house is surrounded by trees and I have to have the gutters cleaned several times a year. When the crew was finished they took the time to explain the work they did and told me Paul would invoice me within the week. The service was excellent from start to finish and I will recommend Allied Waterproofing to anyone in need of their services.
Description of Work: Allied Waterproofing inspected three downspout underground drains for blockage. One drain was blocked and Allied used hydro-jetting to unblock the drain. In addition, they cleaned the gutters during the inspection at no additional cost

Paul was very quick with the original estimate, and very confident of his work. He suggested an innovative solution that no other contractors had identified to reduce costs and improve the quality of the drainage around the permiter of my home. Although it took them a couple weeks to schedule the work, I was very pleased with the actual completed work. The crew was professional and responded to my inquiries and even changed part of the project to accomodate future work I had in mind. The finished on time and left everything in the original condition. Paul's follow-through was great, even suggested that his crew would come back at a later time to handle normal settling issues with the re-sodded grass. Overall, I was very pleased wtih their quality, price and service. Where I was once seeing water enter my basement, it is now gone. I would highly recommend this Allied Waterproofing. Much more responsive than Wu Construction or Perma-Dry, both of whom I contacted before Allied.
Description of Work: Allied installed a new draingage system around our house, taking all four of the major downspouts and running pipes so the water exited directly to the sewer line. They also identified an area prone to water collection, and installed a new drain to capture that flow as well.

I have had water in my garage each of the past three winters. Three years ago we had someone come out and inject foam into/under the foundation (with no guarantee). After that we have several companies come out over the last two years who said we needed an elaborate ($10K) french drain system behind the garage or to dig up the low corner insider our garage and install a sump pump and drainage system. We opted to deal with the problem on an as needed basis last year, as it wasn't terrible, but this year it's been horrible and we realized that we had to get something done. My first estimate this year was from Paul Korenovsky at Allied Waterproofing & Drainage. Paul came out, looked around to assess the situation and then said we should take a look at the condensation pump on the heater, which is also in the garage. When we went over to look at it, and with his pointing it out to me, it was clear that this was at the very least a large contributor to the problem. He went outside to see if there was any water being pumped out and found the exhaust to be bone dry. He said he would give me an estimate for a french drain system, but that I should first call a heating company to see if I even needed the work. He was so kind and generous of heart, he had this big grin on his face when he told me that he didn't think I would need his services :) I had the pump replaced yesterday and already the garage is almost all dry. I received the estimate from Paul for the french drain system today and I think we will likely go ahead with it at some point in the future because it makes sense for there to be a drainage system from behind our house (with a hill in the back yard), around the house and out to the street. AND because it was reasonably priced at $2200. I will absolutely use Paul Korenovsky and Allied Waterproofing & Drainage for ANY problem I have in the future which his company can possibly solve. People like Paul give me faith that for at least some people, it's about service and doing the right thing, not just about making a buck.
Description of Work: Paul Korenovsky came out to give me an estimate but ended up telling me how to solve my water in the garage problem for what ended up being $306. He could have easily sold me on a french drain system, since that was what I thought I needed, but instead told me to investigate a heater problem (since he had seen something like that before), and that he would send me a proposal but hoped that I wouldn't need it. I counted this as work he did since he told me how to solve my problem. The $306 was spent to replace the broken condensation pump on my heater.

From the very beginning, Allied Waterproofing & Drainage has been amazing! Paul Korenovsky always returned any phone call or e-mail very quickly, when he went out to see the affected backyard to do the estimate, he understood what was happening immediately and devised a great solution. He came back with the written estimate and proposal through e-mail very quickly, and let us know when the job could be fit into their schedule and how long it would take to complete. Once the work started, it was amazing! Allied Waterproofing has one of the best work crews we have ever seen, the work site was always clean (frankly, cleaner when they came!), at the end of each work day any remaining equipment was neatly organized and the affected areas clearly marked so that we would know where not to walk. The work was also done exactly on time, and it was incredible, the lawn was replaced so well. And where we used to have a pool of muddy water where no grass could grow anymore, they had put new soil down and grass seed (which has grown very nicely, by the way). During the first big rain, the day after the job was completed, the difference really showed! There was still one problem in a corner by the house where the water was pooling pretty badly, but when we called Paul and explained what was going on, he understood and had an immediate solution, which was installed without any additional charge. Since then, the drainage system has worked perfectly! My wife and I couldn't be happier with the whole job. It is a pleasure to have work done by such a professional and skilled group of people who seem to enjoy what they are doing.
Description of Work: In order to fix some serious water drainage issues, excavate a 12-inch wide, 16-18 inch deep trench around the back yard, to install a 4-inch drainage pipe with filter fabric and gravel. Install a concrete dam at the bottom of the trench to force the water into a tight line. Catch basin and cleanouts installed, and backyard yestored to original condition.

He was very professional and very straight forward. There was no real pressure about what they could do.
Description of Work: Allied Waterproofing & Drainage Inc came out and gave us a free estimate two months ago.
The project went very well. Paul Korenovsky came when he said he would, was always responsive to my e-mails, came up with cost effective and creative solutions, and ensured that the work was performed as specified. Our basement is dry and we avoided the installation (for now at least) of a interior drain system and sump. We were very happy with the work Paul and his crew performed.
Description of Work: Allied Waterproofing installed one new driveway drain, replaced a basement drain, built a curb along our driveway, repaired the existing side sewer and downspout connections, and built a drain field connecting to the side sewer in the front of our house.

He gave a very detailed quote. They actually had the lowest price, but they weren't going to pull a permit for the electrical. I have a really good friend who is an electrician and he said that I need to pull a permit for that. I have a contractor I've been working with and his quote wasn't far off from Allied and he was going to pull a permit and that's why I wanted a contractor otherwise I would have allowed Allied and I told him that I needed to pull a permit. They were very responsive. They got back to me right away. I would use them in the future and in fact I referred him to my neighbor.

I chose Allied because they were a small establishment who effectively communicated how their system would resolve my water problem. They were not the cheapest of the three bids I received, but the most confident and knowledgeable in their system. I waited until the rainy season to file this report so that I would have a true read of the effectiveness of the drain. Prior to installation, I was having "seeping" into a new concrete slab. It was unclear if this was coming from underground springs or surface water runoff. Regardless, I am happy to report that the problem has been resolved and the unfinished concrete floor is now dry!!! Also - Allied did not try to oversell the work (some vendors tried to convince me that unless I did a drain around all 4 sides of the slab, there was no guarantee) Allied was willing to work with just the two sides thinking that this would hopefully be all that was needed.

An inspection of the house we were selling found the problems with the drainage system and the crawl space, so we obtained bids and liked Allied's proposal best for correcting all of these problems. We agreed upon a set price and timeline prior to start of work. Unfortunately, the owner of the company with whom we were dealing, Paul Korenovsky, left on vacation to Europe just prior to the start of work and in his absence his crew failed to complete the work in the time frame we had agreed upon. We were unable to contact Paul to apprise him of the delays and seek some solution, and as a result had to postpone the closing date for the sale. His crew did a really good job, though, and went the extra mile to resolve some problems that came up after work started. Though this resulted in some additional costs that we were unaware we were going to have to pay, Paul was very reasonable in negotiating the price, so in the end everything worked out fine. I would definately use Allied again because of the quality of the crew's work, but would want to be sure that Paul was on hand to oversee the project.
Description of Work: Allied was enlisted to repair problems with our house's drainage system, rot in the sill plate and framing members in a corner of the crawl space, problems with the vapor barrier and floor insulation in the crawl space, and debris left in the crawl space by previous owners.

Amazing, a contractor who shows up on time to bid and do the work. Job had some surprises and they handled it well. Replaced concrete finish was excellent. Even with changes, completed the job in one day with no extra charges. They were the high bid, but they did the job right.
Description of Work: Installed some new rain water drains, ties in sewer. Concrete removal and repair on driveway. Others tried to shy away from getting permit and the easy solution but not the right solution. Allied called the city and then presented the right way to do the job technically. Others wanted me to call the utilities about marking services or said, "don't worry about it, we will be careful". Allied took care of getting the services marked.
