+ -1 moreCalled In the morning to set up an appointment and they were there by noon the same day. They were very professional and honest. They noticed a pipe was damaged and instead for scheduling the repair another day he stayed longer to repair it repair it then. We definitely be using them again for future services. Highly recommend!!!

+ -1 moreI called on a Sunday night, A1 was out on Monday morning, they quickly opened up the tank, got it pumped and discovered that the outflow was also a little clogged and not very well attached. They replaced that and now my septic seems to be humming along smoothly again. Was impressed with promptness and the level of communication provided as work happened as well as the willingness to explain what was going on and why. Will definitely consider for any future septic needs.

+ -1 moreCall A1 to get my specific system inspected since it was almost 30 years old and I was concerned that maybe it was time for a new pump or anything else that might need replacing. Stan came right out inspected the system and gave me a thumbs up. I also asked if he installed risers which he does so I asked him to do that which he did the next day. Stan is a hard worker and very responsive and schooled me on how these systems work.

There was one repair which he explained and did right then and there. We would definitely recommend Stan for his fast, friendly, affordable service.

+ -1 moreCould not have been happier with Stan's service. He was the only contractor available to come out same-day. When your septic system is flooding your yard with the unmentionable, an appointment for next week simply won't cut it. His price was fair: despite our dire circumstances, he charged his normal rate and not an emergency surcharge. The situation was ripe for overcharging but he did not take advantage of us. Our problem ended up being an electrical failure so, not being a licensed electrician, he was unable to complete the repair. He successfully troubleshot the system, offered advice for next steps, and got the tank pumped and cleaned. In a world of scammy septic service providers, I was so pleased to find an honest and reliable company! I will absolutely do business with Stan again - hopefully for routine service next time.

He's extremely knowledgeable and provided us with information that will help us address the extending issues beyond the D-box. Thank you Stan!

+ -1 moreHe showed up on time and called me and sent pictures as the work progressed. He made necessary repairs. The next door neighbor, who was in construction, stopped by the job site and was thoroughly impressed. He replaced the sod, sent me a picture and the yard looked great.
Description of Work: I am selling a house 90 miles from where I live. I needed that septic tank pumped and inspected. I found this business on Home Advisor. The business responded to me immediately, when they were informed by HA of my inquiry. He estimated the job and it was scheduled for the next morning.

Description of Work: I called A1 Septic Service at 7:00 pm to see if they could pump our septic tank that evening and Stan answered the phone and said he'd be here within an hour. The high level alarm had sounded earlier that day and a plumbing contractor who had come by earlier advised that the pump would have to be pulled and inspected and could need to be replaced, and the tank would have to be pumped before they arrived the next day. They quoted the price of the work to include pump replacement at $2300. When Stan arrived he pumped the tank and then spent an additional 3 hours troubleshooting the problem. He was able to determine that the pump was working and the issue was the electrical connection. I was able to cancel the appt. with the plumbing contractor who had quoted $240 for an hourly rate ( the fee I would have paid for them to troubleshoot if they did decide not to replace the pump} and get an electrical contractor to resolve the problem. Stan had quoted $345 to pump the tank {which was the lowest quote} and just added $45 for the additional 3 hours he spent troubleshooting, I don't usually write reviews but felt vey fortunate to have found A1 Septic and was so impressed with the service Stan provided. The honesty, integrity, competence and professionalism was so appreciated. I would highly recommend them!!
