A-Clean Chimney & Contracting

Nathan came to our home twice, once to inspect our wood stove/chimney system and a second visit to perform the cleaning work. He was right on time, responsive, did a good job and is personable. He went the extra mile to advise on us on operation of the system, and performed extra repairs - all for the quoted price. Highly recommend,

Some other replacements were required, and also had a very old fireplace insert removed. Excellent work, I would recommend to anyone needing fireplace/chimney work.

First, it's our first time with wood burning fireplaces so where do you turn for help? I am glad we picked A-Clean. Nathan showed up right when he said he would. He was friendly and efficient and we will call him again.

Upon inspection, our deck was not able to support the weight of the scaffolding and bricks, so we had to disassemble part of the deck to allow for the scaffolding to rest on the ground. We were pleased that Nathan was able to adapt to the situation and complete the job as planned. We were very happy with the work that Nathan did. We would not hesitate to use him again.

Nathan was very professional. He was running a bit late for an initial visit, but called before the scheduled time to let me know. He also called to change a date, due to weather. We have a 1966 house with sandstone/white brick chimneys. We had lost mortar on one chimney when the painters power washed during their prep work. The brick were quite soft and Nathan wasn't sure he could salvage. However, he was not only able to salvage to rebuild the damaged six courses, he had a few left over from pouring a concrete cap on two of the chimneys, so we have a few left, in case. He installed a cap on one chimney and a replacement damper on the other, when he determined that our damper had rusted open. We also have a wood stove, which he swept, along with the two masonry chimneys. He was fast, efficient and cleaned up after himself. Very professional work and demeanor. We were impressed with the work and very satisfied with the cost. We would definitely use this company in the future.

He was punctual and efficient. He came the next evening after we contacted him and was finished within 2 hours. We were very pleased with the service.

My initial phone call was returned promptly and chimney cleaning was scheduled for the following day. The whole job took about 50 minutes. In addition to the actual chimney cleaning, all the ashes from the wood stove was vacuumed out and the glass door was cleaned. Everything was neat and tidy when the job was completed. I was very happy with the result.

Nathan was awesome! After purchasing a new home, we thought we'd be safe and have the chimney swept. Nathan came out promptly and informed us that the wood stove had been installed incorrectly 20+ years ago and we had so much creosote on the walls, Nathan was surprised the house hadn't burned down. In addition our flashing had been installed incorrectly and the chimney cap had been done in the worst possible way. What was really sweet, is that you could tell Nathan felt really bad about delivering this much bad news. He gave us an excellent price to redo the cap, the flashing (inserted into the masonry), line the flue (which was impossible to clean) and replace the piping from the stove to the wall. This was a nightmare of a job through no fault of Nathan's. Previous owner was a DIYer who didn't know what he was doing. Nathan ran into so many snags and frustrations on this job while he repaired someone else's mistakes, but he maintained his professionalism throughout. He was determined to see it through despite it taking longer than his initial estimate. He could have stopped and said he was upping the estimate due to these unforseen issues, but he didn't. His work was thorough and meticulous. He was polite, prompt, called with notifications, arrived when he said he would and honored his original estimate. I would absolutely recommend him and unfortunately for him, we have his number and will use him again. :)

We hired Nate last June to inspect our fireplace and clean it. While here he showed us that our chimney crown was in need of repair. We brought him back this fall to fix the chimney and also install a smoke guard as we were unable to use the fireplace without too much smoke seeping into our house. Nate is very professional and worked his magic on getting our fireplace back in working order. Excellent, fair prices and fabulous work as always!! Thank you Nate!!

At one point we had smoke from our fireplace coming out of our attic. We stopped using the fireplace after that one experience. we wanted to get the fireplace repaired so we called Nathan. He was great! He showed up on the day he said he would. He was early and he even called to let me know. He did a thorough inspection of the fireplace and even looked in the attic where the smoke had come from. It ended up being a strange fluke & no repairs were needed. Rather than trying to make some money off me anyway, he was honest and told me no repairs were necessary. He didn't even charge me for his time though that would have been understandable.

It went great! Nathan fit us into his schedule for the next day, and arrived when expected. He was knowledgeable, looked at chimney from the roof, as well as letting us know there was no creosote and it was in good shape. The whole visit took about an hour and he left everything nice and clean! We will be calling A-Clean Chimney for the next time!

Nathan got us an appointment very quickly and was very reasonably priced. While here, he informed us of some future problems we will need to address and cleaned the chimney for us. We just moved in a year ago and had no idea when the chimney was ever cleaned. Nathan was professional and well informed of what he does. I would happily hire his company again for any services they provide.

I had bought a foreclosed home and had no idea when the last time the chimney was cleaned. I was able to get an appointment quickly. Nathan took the time to also do an inspection on my chimney. The insert was giving him trouble so he had to leave and get tools without charging me extra for taking up his time.

Nathan came on 12/7/12 to clean 2 chimney's, but the one associated with the wood burning fireplace that my husband built was not able to be accessed. He didn't charge me because he wasn't able to clean it, but it took him time to remove the panels around the insert. He did not charge me, since he wasn't able to clean the chimney. He laid down tarps and left the area around the fire place clean. He returned on 1/17/13 to pour a new cement crown for the chimney and inbed a multi flue cap. He has been easy to access by phone and cordial when answering questions.

It went fantastically, I wish all home services would go this well!

2012 When Nathan arrived he spread tarps where needed. Cleaned both flues with no mess.Then installed two stainless chimney caps. The last thing he did was the work on the wood stove. He answered all questions I had during the job and I now feel much more informed. Overall he did a great job. Wood stove is working better than ever. Will call him next year for the cleaning.

He was quick and clean, inspected the tops from the roof, dismantled the wood stove pipe and even showed some of the odd things burned or stuffed up in the flue. I will definitely use him again when the time comes
