Description of Work: Nathan Wright placed braces on the wood stove extension on the roof and replaced the chimney cap on my chimney and repointed the bricks where necessary. He did a wonderful job and cleaned up after him as he worked. My wife and I were extremely pleased with his efficiency and his friendliness.

Description of Work: A-Clean Chimney came out and did a great job cleaning my chimney. They removed my wood stove and cleaned everything out. He also did a roof inspection telling me things that could be potential issues. He was professional, thourough and was not pushy on sales. Very good service and I will definitely use them again for cleaning and future repairs.

Description of Work: They replaced brick in my fireplace and installed a wood pellet stove into my old wood fireplace. I cannot give this guy enough of a good rating. He was prompt, worked around my work schedule, did exactly what he said he would do, and showed up when he said he would. I would absolutely recommend him to others.

Description of Work: |Wanted to replace my chimney instead of troubleshooting leak. Chimney is OK according to others and was tuck pointed five years ago. Leak problem possibly not chimney but not known yet. Another company placed a cap on one mysteriously blocked flu which they unblocked. They will waterproof exterior when weather dries out if needed.

Description of Work: A-Clean Chimney did a great job! I haven't used my fireplace in years and Nathan brought it back to pristine condition. He also got on the roof and checked the chimney exterior as well. He explained everything he did and answered all of my questions. When we reviewed the inspection from the roof, he explained that my crown was showing wear and showed me pictures as well. Instead of trying to convince me repairs needed to be right away, he let me know about two different ways to repair the crown, which way he would do the repairs, that I could find other contractors to do it the other way and that I don't need to get it done right away. A true business man. He will definitely be doing the work when I can fit it in! And I've already enjoyed the fireplace! A great experience from beginning to end.

Description of Work: Returned my call in a timely manner when we were in a cold snap. Came the next day to clean my wood stove metal chimney that was drawing poorly. Cleaned a trap where the chimney exits the house through a wall and then travels up the outside of the house and through the roof overhang as well as ran his brushe up through the vertical rise. He said it was the worst creosote buildup he had seen. Took the chimney apart both inside and outside and cleaned everything out then put it together and cleaned up the mess. It has worked fine ever since.

Description of Work: Nathan knew his business cleaned our chimney and placed a cap on the top. The price I wrote was apx. Because I forgot to write a review earlier. We will have Nathan clean our chimney next time. Had checked with other sweeps and they could fit me in the time frame needed and they were either the same price or more.

 + 0 moreExcellent. He first performed the chimney cleaning, which took approx. 1 hour. After that, he informed me that he noticed significant cracking in the chimney cap, and that over time it could cause deterioration of the entire chimney structure, due to rain seeping in. (and especially during winter, when the rain could freeze in the cracks, and cause further structural deterioration.) He recommended replacing the chimney cap, but did not push to do it. I asked if he did that work, and he said that he could, and that he could schedule it at a later date, or could do it now, and offered to put the price of the chimney cleaning toward the total price of doing both jobs at a better rate. I decided to have him do the work. He had to go back to his shop for the additional required tools and materials, and was back on the job within 30-40 minutes. Another 90 minutes, and he was done with the job. The concrete had to set for a week within a metal frame, and then he came back the next week and took the frame. The cap looks great! And it is clearly visible that it is offering much better weather-protection than the previous cap.

 + 0 moreWhen Nathan arrived, he saw that the shape of the tile into which the damper had to fit was smaller than normal and would not accommodate the damper. The upper part of the flue tile would have to be cut out and replaced with a larger rectangular one (ours was a small oblong circle shape). He was able to located one that day and was back within an hour or so to finish the job. Time will only tell, but from what I can tell, did a fine job. I'm pleased at the quality and the price. The reason I gave him a lower mark on "Professionalism" is that he is clearly a one-man show and judging from the old mini-truck he uses, appears to have limited resources. This didn't make a difference to me. In fact, I like supporting the "little guy." I just thought I'd mention it. I probably wouldn't us this company as a lead for big jobs.
