This was a wonderful experience every step of the way. Angie contacted me shortly after I left her a message. We coordinated a day and time for me to bring my chairs to her studio. She has a lovely workshop behind her home. At the time we delivered our chairs, we had selected a fabric, and we asked Angie for suggestions on the best look when going from cane to upholstery. I so enjoyed working with Angie. She is kind, personable, professional, and very knowledgeable. Our chairs were finished sooner than we expected. We loved the finished product! The foam that Angie suggested for the seat area is so much more comfortable that the original cane. The chairs look brand new and they look fabulous in our home! We will definitely recommend Angie to all of our friends! Angie West is the Best!!!

With the help of her husband, Angie restored the wood frame on the living room items to new condition! The Queen Anne style furniture required a number of intricate tufts and she did an amazing job! She is knowledgeable, professional, easy to work with, completed the project in a timely fashion, and her price was very fair. I am so pleased I located her through Angie's list!

They were great and did a great job. It was a girl and she worked out of her garage. I think she did a lot of work for designers. We saved the delivery fee by going up and delivering and picking them up because they were a little bit outside of Seattle, so there was a delivery fee and we were able to eliminate that. She did beautiful work. We had the fabric already because we had gotten it through a different source rather than through her because it was a special fabric. So she took our fabric and put it on our chairs. She did a great job and she was very easy to work with. She was busy and I think she was about three weeks later than she thought but we weren’t in any hurry and she let us know that ahead of time when she was delayed. So it wasn’t a big deal for us.

Angie was very responsive and patient with me as I procrastinated about fabric. She is very approachable and knowledgable about her craft. In the end I bought a fabric from Crate and Barrel that I really liked and she did the reupholstering. The style of the couch was dated and her husband was able to redesign the arms so they looked current. The couch is beautiful and it made me so happy to be able to keep my mother's beloved couch but have it look so modern. Thanks Angie, we love this couch now!

Angie did an excellent reupholstery job on our two side chairs (cushion and back)- they are 50 year old chairs that now look brand new! The cost was actually less than she originally quoted, which I appreciated. She's a busy woman so they did take a few weeks to complete, but worth the wait.

We have two slipcovered chairs which were worn and needed replacing. When trying to purchase another set of slipcovers from the original manufacturer, we found the style was discontinued from their product line. New covers could be custom made by the manufacturer, but this would have involved extensive communication with the company as well as more expense than it was probably worth. Lets just say that the manufacturer and their local representative were not overly eager to follow up on such a small project. That's when Angie's List came into play. After researching various upholstery companies in the Seattle area, we decided to use A & D Upholstery. And we're glad we did! Here's why: * Easy communication with the owner via email and phone * Willing to go the extra mile, literally. She drove from Everett to Sammamish to pick up one of the chairs so that she could pattern the slipcover perfectly (not relying on just copying the original slipcover). * Brought fabric samples to our home to help make the best selection with our existing colors and lighting. * Sewed the covers and returned them within a very short time. * BEAUTIFUL work on the slipcovers....better than the original!! * Finally, she helped us with our last minute request to replace some foam inserts in our couch. This involved yet another round trip from Everett to Sammamish. We are very happy to say, these cushions have made a world of difference in the comfort of our couch. The entire project has made our furniture feel new.....no need to furniture shop for quite awhile. This was a great project to have done and we are extremely happy that we used A & D Upholstery!

I am thrilled with the outcome of this project. Angie reupholstered a channel-back, rolled arm club chair and it could not have turned out more beautifully. She definately exceeded my expectations. She is a perfectionist and obviously really cares about her work product. I recommend Angie highly to anyone for any upholstery job. I will definately use her again.

None of my projects was "typical." The chair was a 19th C antique, for which I had already purchased upholstery fabric I wanted to use. The bench cushion and sofa cushion were conceptualized, constructed and covered with handwoven fabrics I had collected. Angie remade two other cushions. He price for upholstering the chair was consistent with the price I had been quoted in Oregon, and I appreciated that she did not add a surcharge because I wasn't purchasing fabrics through her business. She is creative and was responsive to my style preferences.

I took the chair to her home. She works out of a large shop behind her house. I picked up the chair afterwards. She was extremely friendly and I could see from the other work in her shop that she was very knowledgeable and had plenty of clients. She did an outstanding job on the chair. I would say that it is somewhat awkward taking the work to her and picking it up, especially for someone shy like me. If you are looking for somewhere more professional or with delivery service, this may not be your person. That being said, I would use her again in a heartbeat. She clearly knows what she is doing and did a fantastic job.

She quickly responded to my text and I dropped off the cushions and fabric. It was completed within a couple of days which I was very happy with since she had very little notice. The quality is amazing. The professionalism was great. The price is was better than I anticipated. I will only use her for all future needs.

Making an appointment was easy and the work was done quickly. I was somewhat concerned since these are from an older couch and were not in the best of condition, but Angie didn't hesitate and did a fine job. I am very pleased with the results

This sofa was pretty important to not only us but also the family who still remember it fondly in our grandmother's home. I know the family will be pleased with the transformation of this piece of furniture. Angie and Dan (her husband) are quite a team, prompt, they pay attention to details, and stayed within the quoted price for the job. (The cost of the service includes the fabric) My husband and I highly recommend A & D upholstery, without reservation and will be sending more of our furniture to them for upholstery.

I can't say enough good things about Angie and her service. First, she ran a little over in time because she underestimated by 1 yard how much material she would need and had to order it. It was well worth the wait. The chairs now look brand new. Also, we asked about replacing the cushions and she simply bolstered the middles of the pillows with a stiffer material. They're a joy to sit in and a true pleasure to look at. Angie keeps her overhead low by working out of her home, but she's a true professional who only wants to do the best job possible so the customer walks away happy while feeling they got a good price. Oh, I almost forgot that Angie provides pickup and delivery since she realizes many customers may not be able to pickup or deliver their furniture to her. Bottom line: I strongly recommend Angie's service for ANY reupholstering that you need done.

Angie and her husband are a combination of enthusiasm, professionalism and knowledge. They were prompt, very skillful and more than fairly priced. The sofa was broken and overdue for a reupholstered job-it's a 50 year old sofa! . They, within a few weeks of accepting the sofa had it looking and sitting better than I could have ever expected. They are also honest! I would highly recommend their work! We are hoping, however they don't get too busy because we've got several other projects for them.

After 26 years of use, shopping around to replace my 26 year old kitchen chairs was to no avail. So I decided to to refurbish the old ones, which I still like much better than anything I saw while shopping anyway. The chairs had already been re-upholstered once and that part was still in excellent condition (Naugahyde is practically bulletproof,) but structurally they were in trouble. They had been re-welded several times and the paint on the metal frames was getting pretty rough looking, so I had them powdercoated and then set out to find somebody to fix the problem with the cushions. Though the upholstery didn't need any help, the cushions were barely attached because the screwholes in the interior wood structure had become so stripped there were no screws large enough to grip the wood. Angie's husband came up with an ingenious way to fix this problem, plus they sent one of the cushions to a place that repairs leather etc, and they did a stellar job repairing a deep scuff mark; I was particularly impressed with the color match: fire engine red. So now I have four chairs that look and feel brand new again! I was very impressed with Angie and her husband. They are personable, helpful people, and I'd use then again in a heartbeat.

Angie is great. She has a nice set up going from her house. She has a great collection of fabric and I was able to to go through many books with fabric samples. In addition, she offered to have me take home as many samples as I wanted to see how they looked at home. Since I'm practically color blind, she also helped me chose the color. I ended up with gorgeous, durable fabric. She then expertly reupholstered the chair so that it looks brand new. Also, her husband ended up doing a small repair on one of the legs. Can't say enough for her operation. the whole experience beats any of the big shops such as Queen Anne or Calico corners where the prices we're quoted at more than $400 higher.

I've been remiss in getting this review posted. angie doesn't really "do" auto upholstery as a rule but decided to take my job on after we talked for awhile. That being said, she did a great job and her pricing was outstanding. It's silly how much the auto upholstery shops charge for this work and she was around half the price. We worked around scheduling issues on my side and her side for awhile but we got it all in and I was not disappointed at all. I'm not sure she feels any differently about auto upholstery as I think she still doesn't want to do it but she certainly has the ability and does a great job. ANY upholstery work I ever need again will go to Angie for sure. A+++

Angie was prompt to reply, quick to get the job completed and let me know that it was done, and absolutely professional in her approach. She accomplished everything quickly and with ease. Her fees were very reasonable, and I would use A & D Upholstery again for upholstery services.

Angie did a great job! She had a multitude of fabric samples to look at. We were able to select just the right one to accommodate the changes we made to our dinning room. The chairs all had backs that were tuck and roll which Angie did a tremendous job doing.

Angie responded quickly to my initial inquiry and answered all my questions thoroughly. I specifically needed a quick turn around and Angie was able to accommodate that without any issue. She even helped me save a significant amount of money on my fabric by recommending a local shop where I could buy off the bolt. I would definitely use A&D Upholstery again and would recommend to my friends.

Angie was efficient, knowledgeable, helpful and very professional! Her selection of fabrics and her knowledge of their various qualities for my situation (I have cats who like to use the sofa arms as scratching posts...) was great. She did what she promised when she promised for the price she quoted and the quality of her work was outstanding. From p/u to delivery, less than 1 week!

She was great and fabulous and would use her in the future.

We couldn't be happier with the work Angie did for our custom daybed mattress. Professional, friendly, exacting about her work. She passed on great savings to us while doing a beautiful job.

They are my favorite chairs because they are so comfortable, but they are probably 40 years old and the upholstery and padding was disintegrating. I am very pleased with the look of the chairs, the quality of the fabric used and the workmanship. I would definitely use her again!
