Bruce's Roofing is the BEST company you can hire. We live in Enumclaw and our neighborhood suffered significant damage from a wind/snow storm. We panicked and had three roofing companies out to assess the damage over the weekend. One of our friends who lives in town recommended Bruce's Roofing. Ironically both of their names are Bruce. I called Bruce's roofing first thing on Monday morning and they were out there same day. Bruce showed up, immediately hopped up on the roof with his crew, looked at the damage, and offered to tarp everything for free until we heard back from our insurance company. He told us even if you choose to go through the company who installed the roof, I'm not gonna charge you for tarping and inspecting. He patched all the shingles that had blown off (about 30-40) and we have full piece of mind that what he did is of quality. When other companies were pushing metal roof vents and charging us almost double what he came up with, it really saved us. He made it so affordable we cancelled our insurance claim. Thankfully there was no attic damage and all that needed to be fixed was the shingles. Bruce has a heart of gold and has empathy for those who live in our windy city. He was genuine and provided us with the most honest estimate without Nickle and diming us. Don't go with any other company. Bruce's Roofing is top notch. A company you can trust. I won't go with anyone else, and I'll recommend them to anyone I know. Thank you everyone at Bruce's Roofing

The process of replacing the roof went relatively well. However, the roofers were not provided a porta-potty for this job that took several days to complete. They told us that they were instructed to go to McDonalds if they needed a bathroom. Yet they chose to use the woods behind our house for their bathroom. We also had to clean up nails, pop bottles and other garbage at the end of each day and at the end of the job, we were left to clean up much of the roofing debris. When we had the gutters cleaned this past winter, the contractor pointed out two fascia boards with significant water damage. He further pointed out that the flashing and shingles installed by Bruce's roofers left most of the top of the affected fascias uncovered, thus exposing them to constant water and sun contact. There are eight other fascia ends which were totally covered by the flashing and shingle material and none of those appear to have damage. On March 27,2013, we contacted Bruce's roofing to come and do an inspection of the two sites and on April 2, Garret came and did the inspection. He took pictures and said he would talk with the owner and get back to us .We did not hear back and so we made six subsequent attempts to contact Troy, the owner, and Garret. No one responded. Finally after the 7th attempt Troy did call. Troy implied the damage was there all along to which we disagreed. He said the warranty would not cover it and we would be responsible for the cost to do the repair and he would get a cost estimate and call us back. We agreed to pay this as we needed to have it repaired. He did not call back. We attempted to call both his office number and his cell phone. No answer. We left messages at both phones. No call back. This process went on several more times. We left a total of 11 messages that were not responded to. We even sent a registered letter. Since Troy made it perfectly clear he would not honor the warranty, we agreed to pay for the repairs as it was absolutely necessary to have this fascias repaired before the problem became much bigger. While he initially gave lip service to this, he has since refused to reply to our repeated attempts to contact him. He later sent Mike look at the damage and suggest a remedy. While on site Mike suggested a remedy and said he would get back to Troy and they would contact us about getting it done. On this visit it was noted that six boards of siding had come loose from the point where they were attached to the flashing which they installed. Mike acknowledged that they were responsible to repair this. His exact words were, "Yes, that's on us." Since then we have attempted to contact them by two phone messages and an email that they have chosen not to respond to. He has not only refused our repeated attempts to contact him to resolve this issue, he has treated us with rudeness over and over. Even challenged us to hire a lawyer. We are talking about a repair that would at most cost a few hundred dollars and this on a roof that we paid nearly $20,000 for which we paid immediately upon the receipt of invoice. We have finally called in another contractor to do the repair work for us. There are many roofing companies out there that value their customers and treat them with honesty, integrity and respect. Sadly this was not our experience with Bruce's Roofing.
Description of Work: replaced the roof on our home with Presidential TL composition roofing for nearly $20,000.

Highly recommend this roofing company. Their prices care competitive with other companies out there and their service is impeccable. They did the work to spec with no issues. One of the things I appreciated was that I have yet to find any roofing nails or other debris left over from the job. With out last roof we were finding nails in our yard 5 to 8 years after having the roof done. However what impresses me most about this contractor is the time it took to complete the job. What has taken other roofers in our neighborhood 1 to 2 weeks to do (not counting weather delays) Bruce's took 2 days. To me this was impressive and very much appreciated.

The roof of what became our new home was done in April, 2010. According to the warranty, it is a ten-year roof with some components guaranteed much longer. Recently I noticed a great deal of mold covering several of our stored items. as well as on the plywood and 2x4s of the roof itself. A small amount of water was dripping in one particular spot which made me think "leak." Garrett Klashorst, from Bruce's, came to inspect and declared that there's no leak, but a serious condensation problem due to the fact that WE had not installed soffit vents, typical for homes with overhangs. Our home has no overhang. And there are several ways to properly vent an attic of a home with no overhang, and soffit vents. Turns out, based on the original contract and the code at the time, Bruce's should have installed many more vents than they did, to the tune of 4-7 times more ventilated square footage. We have left now several messages with them to fix our problem, but they are unresponsive.
Description of Work: In April 2010 Bruce's roofing, LLC, owner Bruce Sprague out of Enumclaw, redid the roof on the house we were in the process of buying. In addition to replacing the roof, their contract claims they brought the attic ventilation up to code, in addition to some other roofing-related tasks.
