These folks are friendly, and honest and quot;as the day is long, and quot; as my grandma would have said. I'm thinking of her because they moved her antique bedroom set into my new house and took loving care with it, and with all the glass table tops, and other breakable items.
I made it an issue to go onto this list and tell their story, because a couple of female clients recently and quot;stiffed themand quot; -- conning them into doing a lot of work with no payment in advance and quot;because these folks were going to be out of town for several daysand quot; . . . and then after the work was done (which entailed packing up an entire home and moving it to a new site), those heartless con artists refused to pay anything at all. To compound the malice, they went onto a bunch of and quot;public accessand quot; review sites, and bad-mouthed these really fine folks.
I hope those con artists get their comeuppance in court one day, but when I saw the wonderful reviews Man of Steel Movers had already gotten by Angie's Listers, it warmed my heart. I hope the Angie's list people pull together and give this Ellensburg business, owned and operated by hard-working, honest local folks, lots and lots of well-earned business.

Tia and Mike are very nice, sincere people who care about doing a good job. They met me at both the locations they needed to pick up from. They asked good questions and wanted to be very clear about my expectations. They cared about what I wanted and were very willing to work with me to make it all work. They performed the job beautifully, in a timely manner, and immaculately executed. The truck was very well packed. Nothing moved! They all know what they are doing. No furniture or walls banged. I would recommend calling them for any moving needs to have. They are capable of moving most anything. And, as I said, nice folks to work with.

My wife was out of town, when we started to move and I wanted to surprise her by getting as much moved as possible. I was hesitant on hiring pros (opposed to hiring cheaper, college kids), but they assured me they'd work circles around any kid. Two gals arrived, on time, to start wrapping dishes and china (they were much faster and meticulous than I could ever be). About two hours later, there was a pretty big stack of boxes. So, when the guys arrived, there was no standing around. They attacked the pile and all the furniture like the pros they are. They were fast and hard-working, but were very careful with all our stuff (they brought their own moving blankets to protect any unwrapped furniture).
We have LOTS of stuff, but they nearly had the house emptied in just a few hours. The last time we moved, we hired a few kids and between all of us, it took several days to move what they did in hours. They even hauled our super-fragile stuff in their own rig, for extra protection. Unloading was even faster then loading and just as careful. I could hardly keep up with them (I was probably in their way, most of the time).
The best part was how affordable they are. With a 4-person crew, all day, I was afraid the bill was going to be painful. They were so reasonable, we could afford to hire them back to help move the garage and stuff we figured we could move ourselves. Other than telling them where stuff went, I never had to and quot;keep them movingand quot; (I actually had to tell them to take a break). Value, value, value! These guys are amazing and great folks. On a and quot;1-10and quot;, they're and quot;11and quot;.

I couldn't find a mover in Ellensburg and finally found them through word of mouth. The owner Mike promptly returned my call, gave me a quote, offered to find us storage space at a discount and provide packing help (only $15 per hour) if we needed it. They charged a reasonable price of $300 for the first two hours (included the truck, gas, mileage and movers) and $100/hr after that. In the end, the price paid was EXACTLY what they quoted initially! They wouldn't even let me pay them extra for dropping the unwanted items at Good Will. They didn't charge for the time or gas, etc. to get to the initial moving point either.
Tia was the woman's name and she moved boxes and made sure all the dresser drawers were securely restrained. She kept track of what needed to be moved and checked in with me every 10 minutes or so. I had just had surgery and couldn't lift a thing. She was careful to make sure I, or my elderly mother, didn't try to help. The two movers were so careful with my mom's things and were strong enough they didn't even need to take the dresser drawers out! And my mom has some heavy antique pieces of furniture--it didn't phase them. They worked very fast and took just one 5 minute break in the whole 4 hours time.
They moved everything in and didn't damage any furniture or walls. They said to call them for anything missed or further services needed; and they mentioned they could do small moves for my mom anytime (even moving furniture around the apartment), with no minimums. They also told us that they do clean-up services, general hauling and even take loads to the Good Will when needed.
I was very impressed with their friendliness, the cost, their integrity and the fact they worked so hard through the entire move. They are not a large moving company and really brought local caring to the table. I believe they are a fairly new company and I hope they do very well. Since I live about 1.5 hours from my mom, I am thankful to know I can call them for small jobs and help when she needs it.
