 + -1 morewThe owner, Fred Padjin, performed a carriage house remodel for us. The workmanship was top quality and Fred was very easy to work with, as was his crew. Fred is very knowledgeable and professional with good ideas on how to make your vision come to life. Our final remodel was gorgeous. Only problem was with the final price. I suggest sticking as closely as possible to your designed plans and go over every detail of the initial estimate with some kind of plan to deal with the unforeseen costs that will eventually accrue. Fred and I were able to amicably resolve our conflict over the final bill which might have gone to court with a less professional contractor.
Description of Work: Carriage house remodel. Top floor to our detached garage was converted into a studio apartment with its own bathroom. Rear deck was enlarged and built with Treks. Concrete slab was poured for the first level of the garage with drainage. Floor level wall was knocked out and built to comply with code. Garage doors were constructed, as well as stairs. An electric radiant floor heating system was installed along with various windows and doors. Cabinets hung. Plumbing installed. Hardwood floors. The top floor was a vacant room with no plumbing nor interior access from the lower level.
