"My wife and I have been on a 18 month journey with Renovate to plan a significant basement remodel which included replacement of the main beam of the house and a dig out of a crawlspace to expand the footprint of the basement. Along the way, Amanda and her team (especially Jeremiah and Ross) have been utterly professional and helped us craft an amazing vision for the project, with lots of changing scope and financial constraints on our side that changed along the way. It was always easy to get on the phone with someone there and to talk things out when we needed to discuss something or revise our plans and they were always great about working out multiple options to solve problems as we encountered them. What we wanted to do was really ambitious and they always had a steady hand at the wheel. We were especially grateful that, in order to save us money, they would allow us to contract with an excavation company directly in order to bring the project within budget. Ultimately, we had to shelve the project until financing it would be more feasible, but Amanda was extremely gracious and understanding even about that turn of events. And, in the end, we have engineering drawings and floorplans that we can keep until the time is right to do the work, so it wasn't all for naught."

"James and his crew at Cox Custom Remodeling did a great job with our bathroom remodel. Our house was built in 1900 and the nonstandard framing made things more complicated. His lead, Dan was particularly great, taking the extra time to understand components we picked that were new to him. James always had a positive attitude, showed up when he indicated and got things done. Low dust, protection for floors and respect for the rest of the house while the construction was going on. James also provided the best tile guy, Eugene, that did a fantastic job with natural stone and the complicated very fragile mosaic. We would definitely use Cox Custom Remodeling again. "The Job: Work was satisfactorily completed except this vendor should be supervised. -Gate panels replaced were well done and shaped like previous, but were not sanded on top, leaving a 'rip cut' finish. -Fencing Repair completed, post replaced, sagging addressed, BUT dislodged two panels further down the fence...basically, dno ue diligence in checking their work and unintentional impacts. -Minor debris left behind, did not impress. NO SHOW for original estimate request... insisted they had provided an estimate already! They wrongly a**-u-med the address they went to coincidentally on same day was mine (different project)! Attention to customer care missing... Rule #1: NEVER argue with customer / client, specially when you the contractor are wrong! Would not process through Angi Pay, because they are afraid of fraud? Why are they here?"
