Rebecca,the owner was pleasent,professional and extremely helpful from start to finish.The Technician Ed came two hours early.Ed was professional,knowlegeable,and helpful.They did not treat me as if they were doing me a favor,which I experiened withother service companies.I highly recommend them and will use them in the future. Their charges were more than half of what other companies charge.

They went above and beyond and put a lot of effort in fixing the problem. They are very punctual and professional. Event the receptionist was very pleasant friendly. They are very sensitive to your needs.

We bought this service through a Big Deal. Rebecca was very friendly and was willing to send a tech out the next day, a Saturday. We didn't have an emergency so we scheduled for the next Monday or Tuesday. Ed, the tech, showed up on time, was very friendly and competent. Our issues weren't big and he wizzed through them. He left before the hour was up so he said he would credit the unused portion to a future visit.
Description of Work: Look over our computers for any troubles, connect a printer.

TechTeam Seattle's technician arrived on time as previously scheduled and went right to work to identify / complete the requested work. It has been almost 2 weeks and i find my laptop running great.
Description of Work: My laptop was running slow with poor/slow responce, so having used Tech Team Seattle before i purchased a "Big Deal" to have them out to "clean up" my HP laptop and review my security program.

There are two people, Rebecca and another person, involved. Rebecca is very committed to her work and to her clients. She is more so the business end of the service. She wants to be helpful and understanding. I have a lot of respect for what she does and she runs her business in a really authentic way. She has great follow-through and is very honest. She doesn't make false promises and has a great work ethic. Ed is the technician. He is remarkably patient and is great with me. He really wants to help and is nonjudgmental with my ineptness. I really appreciate the homework that Ed and I give to each other. He will tell me something that I need to work on for the next time and I will give him something that I would like to cover in the future lessons. I think that he and Rebecca together are an incredible team. They both have a great sense of humor. They certainly have a lot of mutual respect for one another and it is evident. There is complete loyalty between the two of them which speaks volumes about their company.
Description of Work: They have been out twice if not three times so far. I had a variety of things to be addressed on the computers themselves and then they did some computer training as well.

From the beginning, when I spoke with Rebecca, everything went very well. Rebecca understood the problems I described to her and set up an appointment. Ed showed up on time and knew what I had discussed with Rebecca so he was ready to go. Both individuals were pleasant and professional. My computer now works efficiently. Ed did research on what new computer would serve my needs and provided me with information aboutr the item. I will contact them to set up the new computer when I purchase it in a few months. He knew that the programs I use have to be transferred. I was exceptionally pleased

My sister used their services and told me about a discount they offered her. When I called for the same service, the owner, Rebecca, explained the discount had expired but that she would honor it since I was referred from another customer of theirs. Rebecca is a really nice person to work with, and I apprecitated her extending the discount. The technician, Ed, was here for over three hours. He went past the time that I had paid for, but he didn't charge me for the extra time because I was a first time customer. Ed is a wonderful guy who did a fabulous job. He explained everything he was doing. He even pointed out things I didn't know about my computer.
Description of Work: I had them set up my printer and tweak my computer to make it more user friendly.

It went very well. I got a follow up phone call a week or so after to make sure everything was still doing okay. Because he didn't use the whole hour to fix the problem, they gave me a credit for future use. I am having a problem figuring out how to use another program, so I will probably call them to help me with that in the future.
Description of Work: I had installed Office Professional on my new computer and my computer didn't function properly after that. Arnie came over to my house and figured out what I did wrong during installation. He fixed it and I haven't had any problems since.

Unfortunately when this member needed us, our main technician was booked. I scheduled our new person who missed the scheduled time. We can definitely understand that the member did not want to reschedule again and we had Angie’s List refund her all of her money. I purchased this service through an Angie's List Big Deal. My Dell desktop runs XP and was very sluggish and frustratingly slow. The first appointment I made with Rebecca had to be rescheduled because Ed was held up at another customer and I didn't want him to come by in the evening. I was his first appointment the following Monday but Ed misjudged the traffic and was about 1/2 an hour late. That aside, once he got to my house, he was knowledgeable and efficient and knew right away what some of the issues were that were causing my computer to run so slowly. After cleaning up and getting rid of old files etc, Ed showed me that I needed more virtual memory and said he could get it for me at Best Buy or Fry's later that day and could come back and install it. As it turns out, he had to come back the next day with the memory because he was unable to get it in time the day before. Again, he was efficient and got the memory installed and the last tests done right away. I did have to pay a little extra for the memory (of course) and for the additional labor but that was fine. I would use this company again

He came in and worked on my computer and got it all cleared out. He put on an anti-spy program and cleaned up all the garbage. My computer has never run this fast. I think it works better now than it did when I first bought it. Ed, the technician, is wonderful.

This is an excellent company. For us computer illiterates who don't know all the jargon, they were great! We had come home from vacation and to not have our computer for business purposes was critical. As it was, we hadmore than 1100 emails to attend to that we had missed while the computers were down. TechTeamSeattle came out the following day from our submitting the Big Deal request and made the analysis quickly. Rebecca and Ed, the technician, were both professional ~ prompt, considerate and took the time to answer all questions. The new laptop they found for us is great...far superior to our existing laptop at an excellent price! Ed took the time we needed to get the new laptop up and running, and answered all our questions...even phone calls over the next few days. As stated before, phone call to Ed from his office, was long and ensued in a heated argument. It also took place during the time for which I paid and Ed's office was demanding that he begin working on another client's problem. After the call, Ed barely finished Toshiba set up and rushed out. No explainations of work done, no checking if Toshiba was operational. I had computer service done by Geek Squad techs before and they always took the time to walk the customer through what was done, answer questions. None of that happened. After Ed left, I started Toshiba laptop and tried to access Internet and my e-mail and could not. I was locked out. This was the beginning of my Tech Team problems. When I called them, the woman who answers phone calls, told me she will need to track down Ed and ask him for an answer. When she called back, she relayed Ed's response that I needed a password to unlock a new computer and was told how to find it -- why didn't Ed tell me that at the appointment time ? Once in my e-mail, I needed to access MS Russian font and could not. Another call to Tech Team, the office manager answers, relays my questions to Ed and I need to wait for him to call the office back. In the meanwhile, I need to work on my project, so I go back to my old HP computer, try to access my Russian fonts and realize that during "clean up", Ed erased links to Russian fonts, in addition, my Internet connections became quircky, with sudden shut downs. Ed never told me that he removed Russian font access in HP; in fact, I know I only asked to improve speed, not wipe out internal connections. So, another call to Tech Team, talk with the manager, who is going to call Ed. Next day, I get instructions on restoring my Russian font links on the HP, however, no help with accessing Russian fonts on Toshiba laptop. Just promises to get back to me, which never happened. There were no apologies and no effort to fix these problems fast. I could never reach Ed -- ALL communications went through the office manager, who did not appear to be concerned by this inefficiency. Problems with both the Toshiba and HP Internet glitches remain unresolved to this day. After my 4th call to Tech Team, they stopped returning my calls. A week later, I left on my six month long business trip without Toshiba, which, is still not operational. So my money was totally wasted on this "Big Deal". Now, I have to contact another computer tech service and pay them to do the work that Tech Team was supposed to do, was paid to do and failed to do. Lots of time wasted and a very bad deal for me, overall.
Description of Work: Hired TechTeam to work on my two home computers -- 1) an older HP workstation; 2) recently purchased Toshiba laptop. HP workstation needed to be checked and tuned up to improve speed and performance, remove any spyware, etc. Toshiba laptop was still in the box and needed to be set up, have anti-virus, MS Office software loaded, made foreign language operational and have the laptop tested and ready to go on the road with me in a week. When I called the company, I answered a set of questions on the type of work and type of computer/s needing work. I explained what needed to be done. Appointment date/time was set and I was told it will be a simple job, not needing more that 1-2 hours. Technician, Ed McLean, came on time. Started with HP workstation first. Then proceeded to work on Toshiba set up. In the middle of the appointment, he received a phone call from his office. The call was long and argumentative -- his office was calling on a problem with a customer and demanding that he fix other customer's problem right away, even though, at the moment he was working on my computer and he was working on my paid time. The call was unpleasant, it distracted the technician from the work he was doing on my computers.

They were excellent. I got the first hour free through Angie's List. I paid for an additional hour. The software cost $200.00. It was awesome dealing with the owner to schedule. We had to reschedule the service because of their schedule, but it worked out fine because we had a planned power outage here so it coincided with that. I happen to be disabled and I don't learn these things very quickly, but Arnie, the tech, was extremely patient, knowledgeable, kind, fun, and very very professional without being stuffy. I have called Arnie several times since. He allows me to do that. I think it's very important that the customer, as always, has clear objectives and goals for what they want so that the tech can attend to those things first and make sure they are taken care of. It's so easy with something like that to go off in one direction because you are talking about it. Arnie was so accommodating that he did. Maybe I didn't get everything done that I originally wanted done simply because I didn't keep us on point. I should allow enough time to realize all the benefits my tech Arnie had to offer.
Description of Work: I scheduled for Tech Team Seattle to come out for a service and also purchased some software from them to enable run my desktop and my laptop together.

The guy was here for longer than an hour, and he didn't leave. He only charged for an hour, but I gave him $100 more. They said they'd send some coupons, but they never delivered on that. The lady was kind over the phone. It wasn't the best experience I've had. The guy was very good at what he did. I didn't think the lady was very professional. He set up the computer for me and answered any questions I had. He did a pretty good job, and programs come up right away. The lady was very immature. I called back with questions, and they didn't get back to me right away. We had to keep calling and calling for information. I wish I hadn't given them an extra $100 because they never came through on their promises.

I personally reached out to the member July 28th and spoke with her spouse, who asked me to call back in an hour. When I called an hour later, no one answered and they have not returned my call. Most went smoothly but the instructions that were promised to be left for me were not, which cause confusion for me when I went to use the system and couldn't. However, they did give me insturctions via email which turned everything around for me immediately, he also returned at no charge and put in additional time to get my printer connected. Getting the printer set up was not easy. I'm not sure why HP has turned an extremely easy task into a daunting one. The technician was able to work around HP's rediculous instructions and get it all set up and working correctly. I am so happy with it now, just a few minor hickups to start.
Description of Work: The technician came out to my house and completely set up a wireless system for me which included networking my TV, Lap top computer, Desk top computer, printer and wireless router. It was a task to say the least.

My tech was Ed, he was awesome. I am a novis PC user and Ed took time to allow me to show him a list of issues that i experense and was able to resole all of them.
Description of Work: On 2 HP laptops = Installed updates on Norton + HP printer. Removed unwanted programs, disabled Norton + Qwest backup program. Cleaned temp, cashe and registry files. Updated bios. Updated Quicken 2011 on 1 laptop and moved very old version of Microsoft Money from old desk top to this laptop. Moved Microsoft Butterfly IE favorites to Laptop.
