I was looking for another piano mover and found this by accident. I called the number on Angies' List, which I think was someone's cell phone. He gave me the email address to send info. I received their response and estimate in about 6 hours. They estimated pick up time between 10 and 1 on the coming Sat, and they did call me 30 min before and showed up around 1015. Three people showed up. Courteous and professional. They said they had to do another stop in Seattle but will deliver my piano around 1230. They called me around 130 that they are running late but will arrive in 45 min. Arrived around 215-230, delivered and set up the piano. Great job overall. Estimate was accurate. Highly recommend.

These guys are really really good! I exchanged photos of everything with the office. They made a proposal and arranged for all the necessary safety equipment. When the team arrived, the owner took one look at my sofa, then the hallway and said, "we can get this in the hallway, we don't need to hoist it off the roof." He was right! It took them about 15 minutes. What a great team. They got my sofa in place, no damage to it or my walls or ceiling and even reduced my bill since they didn't need to take nearly as much time or risk. In hind sight, I should have taken the schedulers advice had them come out and look before I booked the whole hoisting procedure, but the original movers were so sure it wouldn't fit. I guess I learned what real talent is. I have only praise, these guys are true professionals.
Description of Work: My original movers were not able to maneuver my sofa through the front hallway of my new apartment. They told me it was impossible. So I put my problem solving skills to work and found Pro Piano Move and asked them if they'd be able to hoist it down the outside of the building from the roof into my 6th floor apartment. They agreed!

Description of Work: Moved the heaviest of upright cabinet grand pianos. The move was 2 hrs out into the boonies, which added significantly to the cost. They found a way to reduce the cost by including a couple of moves in the Tacoma area (reduced cost by about $200). The movers were wonderful - not perfect, but human and people I would invite over for coffee - the kind of people whose company you enjoy. The price felt high, but in calculating cost to rent a truck with a ramp, the extra $150-$200 to pay for the movers (and not spend your own time getting truck, getting friends together, worrying about your friends breaking their backs, etc) was worth it. To top it off: the large old piano had a missing wheel - they just happened to have one, and were able to install it. A bonus!

This company is fantastic. The staff is professional, honest and reliable. The men who do the actual piano moving are excellent! They are extremely careful and mindful of pianos. I would highly recommend using this company! They will take care of your piano as if it were their own.

Pro Piano was hired by a neighbor of mine to move a piano from her house into mine. Before the move she described where the piano was to go in my house (the basement) and the difficulty in getting around the side of the house into the basement. She was told that this would not be a problem. She asked them to come and look at my house and the access to make sure, but was told that was not necessary. Pro Piano showed up at my house with the piano and the movers told me that they could not get the piano into my basement since access on one side was too steep and on the other side too narrow. We talked about going through my neighbors yard, but the movers seemed rushed and did not want to consider that option. Instead they moved the piano upstairs. I did not want it upstairs since I have very little room and I had already moved furniture in the basement to make room for the piano downstairs. My friend could not take the piano back as she was getting ready for a move. If we had known in advance that Pro Piano could not move it into the basement, then we could have made other plans for the piano or hired someone else. Instead we were reassured that it would not be a problem. It was a problem and Pro Piano could not help us come up with a solution. Instead they gave us two choices: move the piano into my upstairs or move it back to my neighbors house (and it would cost more to move it back). So now the piano is upstairs and I have to find (and pay) another piano mover to move it downstairs. The Pro Piano movers seemed rushed and were not at all apologetic about the fact that they did not do what they were hired to. I would not recommend them.

My carpet guy didn't give me much advance notice but Ken and Helge were kind enough to squeeze in our job with only a few days notice. They clearly know pianos and all three movers were careful and skilled. They did a great job wrapping it since it was left in a hallway overnight, and took great care when removing the legs and moving the piano. They arrived exactly when they said they would both times. Helge even noticed a little nick on one leg and did some touch up on it. They made us feel very well taken care of and confident in their abilities with our beloved instrument. I couldn't have been more pleased.

Called them a couple of days ahead and they were able to come pretty soon. no waiting for weeks which is great! they're pretty straightforward and businesslike. They gave me a 3 hour window of arrival and they came in the last third of the hour. Got to the job immediately and the first part was easy. When they had to drag the piano out of the nook that it was in, they took care to hold it at the bottom which is good. When we arrived at the house, there was five steps. Looked tough to me, but those guys made it look so easy. Very professional.

I have to give the company an A+ because they were able to accomodate a change in moving date at the last minute. I called them on a Saturday to see if they could move my piano on the following Monday instead of a Tuesday, and the owner was very understanding and gathered a team together to make it happen. The team of 3 men arrived on time, and worked quickly and efficiently to move the Steinway baby grand piano in great condition. The time estimate was also accurate. We would use this company again and would recommend them to friends and family.

They arrived at my home at the appointed time, prepared both grand pianos properly (i.e., removing legs, padding, turning onto dolly, strapping in place on dolly) and moved them down to their waiting truck at the bottom of the driveway. This is not an easy move, since there are steps on the approach to the home, and the entire house is on a hillside. All three employees did the moving in a highly professional and efficient manner. At the receiving end, both pianos arrived safely and without a scratch. Both were placed in a living area precisely as I instructed. At both homes there are hardwood floors; no damage whatsoever to the floors from the moving weight of these pianos. I might note one of these instruments is a large Steinway grand; I have the highest confidence in this company to handle this instrument with the respect it deserves.
Description of Work: I have used Pro Piano Move for the past five years to move my own grand pianos, as well as pianos at the music school where I teach. I feel I cannot compliment them enough for their work - they are highly professional, helpful, and they simply know how to move a piano safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner. They are wonderful! Highly recommended!

I have a console piano. I hired guys from Millionair's Club to load my heavy furniture, but i didn't want to ask them to load my piano because of the challenging configuration of my front entrance. From the front door, you go out onto a small front porch (maybe four square feet) that has railings on two sides. From the porch you go down two steps to a walkway, at the end of which you make a right angle turn and go down six steps to a sloping street. Then you have to take the piano up a ramp into a moving truck and secure it to the wall for transportation. These guys showed up on time and really knew what they were doing. They tipped the piano on its side onto a furniture dolly, used a ramp to get it from the porch to the walkway, and used another ramp to get it down the six steps to the street. Still on the dolly, they took it up the ramp and set it upright in the truck, where they secured it to the wall. There were three guys, which you really need for those steep front steps. They were quick, skillful, and personable, and everything went as well as I could have hoped. I'm very pleased.

Pro Piano Movers was recommended by another moving company because the item we wanted moved was a piano, not a houseful of furniture. I called Helge Eriksen who quoted a price based on two men @ $120/hour. We set a pickup date for Friday, May 13 and delivery was to be made the following day. Helge and his assistant arrived Friday afternoon and worked very quickly in order to meet our schedule. The two men were experienced, strong, fast, careful, and upbeat even while moving a heavy piano. We are very happy to have found a new home for the piano and appreciate the hardworking professionalism of Pro Piano Movers.
Description of Work: Helge Eriksen and his assistant moved a studio upright piano from the lower level of our home in Bellevue (up 20 stairs) and delivered it to Port Orchard the following day, arranging the pickup date to fit our schedule.

We purchased a beautiful Yamaha U3 upright piano from Classic Pianos in Bellevue. Pro Piano Move was contracted for delivery. We scheduled a delivery window for the following day. They called in the morning to ask if they could move it earlier which unfortunately I could not. However they still showed up during the agreed upon time frame. My garage was too full for them the move the piano through it so they had to bring it up my eight dreadful concrete and stone multi-tiered front steps. The piano was not in a box as I expected so I had to hold my breath a little and hope nothing would be dinged or scratched. Much to my surprise, with the aid of a few ramps and lots of expertise, the piano went from the back of their truck to my living room in no time at all. In all three men facilitated the move (one being the owner and his son.) The owner was extremely professional and cheerful. My piano is as pristine as it looked in the store and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a piano moved.

The two piano movers from Pro Piano Move were on time, extraordinarily careful with the piano and the other furniture in the homes, and the charge was slightly less than the estimate.
Description of Work: Disassembled, moved, and reassembled grand piano in ~2-hours during move from Issaquah to Mercer Island. Pro Piano Move provided an estimate over the phone, and they coordinated details of the move (when/where) via e-mail.
