Our longtime, independent sprinkler guy retired and we were in dire need of a new sprinkler company. We first tried another company and they were waaaay over their heads. (They thought we had a broken line underground because they couldn't get the sprinkler heads to pop up, then they simply never returned our calls and emails.) So it seems like a miracle that we found Northern Waters. Dave Sheldon and his team came to our rescue! Within 15 minutes of his initial visit, Dave quickly diagnosed multiple problems -- none of which was a broken line. He had our fairly complicated system running right away. A week later his crew came out and fixed/adjusted/replaced several sprinkler heads, repaired a leaky valve and got everything working to perfection. Their prices are reasonable, especially considering their level of expertise. We'll use them for our winterizing and spring start-up from now on. So glad we found Dave Sheldon and Northern Waters!

Really shocked to find a company that charges for sales calls to install new irrigation systems. All the other irrigation companies I contacted were willing to do a free estimate but not Northern Waters. Beware!

Fabulous! On time, quick and a good price.

They started out trying to save us money by repairing the system that's in place. It took a while, as unfortunately the first attempt to repair the system failed as the parts were simply not available for a 25 year old system. But Northern Waters did stick with it and now we have an irrigation system that works!

Techs that come are very pleasant to work with and are very knowledgeable. They didn't have to come back multiple times to repair, they were able to fix it in one trip.

We recently moved into a new home and discovered the in-ground sprinkler system needed some work - including finding and fixing a leaking valve in one zone. Northern Waters sent out "Vince" to scope out the work. Vince is a super-nice guy and very competent. He spent an hr diagnosing the issues and then scheduled the repairs for the following week. He worked efficiently and was thorough. I have no problem recommending Northern Waters. My only nit is that they were a bit pricey ($96/hr at the time of our transaction). It would have been nice to have their initial 1-hr consultation (to determine the problems) applied to our final bill for the actual repairs (like many companies do). Other than that, they were great. Good scheduling experience; very professional; friendly and competent.

For the past two years, we have had Vince from Northern Waters come to our house to service our Rainbird sprinkler system. He has added new heads, adjusted the existing ones, repaired when needed, reprogrammed our control box which we really screwed up and stayed professional through all of our requests. From the first phone call to the office, the staff has been very efficient, nice and really knew their product. We have always felt appreciated as customers, too! We just can't imagine a better company to call for our needs.

They are reliable and knowledgeable about your system. They can fix any kind of irrigation. They also do outdoor lighting, but I do my own maintenance. If you wanted to put in an outdoor lighting system, they would probably be the guys to do it.

They came out to our house and damaged the system so it does not function at all, which had worked perfectly fine prior to them coming out. They didn't tell us that they broke the valve during the back flow testing. So after I discovered the system wasn't turning on, I called them to let them know. They came back out and discovered we had a broken solenoid valve, which they said they would come out to replace. After 5 weeks they still hadn't come out to replace this, so I called them to let them know. While talking to them on the phone, the staff worker read the work order, which stated that the worker had in fact broken the valve while working on the back flow test. Then they sent another guy out to try and fix the problem. This guy ended up digging a hole in our yard and cutting all the sprinkler system wires and left. I then called the company AGAIN, and requested that the manager come out. The manager then came out and said they would fix the solenoid valve, but wouldn't fix the wires, because they didn't feel our system was "to code". He then told me that we needed to have a new irrigation system installed that was going to cost $30,000. He never apologized for this and didn't want anything to do with the problem his own company made. I would NOT recommend using this company.

They are very good. They make it pretty easy and explain things. They were referred to me by the maker of the irrigation system.

They were very prompt in coming to provide an estimate and were very polite. The trouble began after installation. Our rain sensor never worked and they have had to replace it twice already (less than one year). It took months of nagging for them to provide the map of the irrigation system they promised at install. It took four visits to the house and many phone calls in order for the work to be done.
