MIKE'S PLUMBING & DRAIN CLEANING

Mike and his great crew, basically re-plumbed the house, replaced the old iron pipes. installed shower valve, replaced hot water heater, replaced kitchen plumbing and brought the turn off from the meter into the laundry room. For that project they used this amazing machine that took the water supply from the meter down under massive spruce roots and back up into the crawl space. Mike's charming wife, Nicolle manages the office, does a great job. Mike worked seamlessly with my handyman, electrical contractor and crawl space contractor. I can not say enough about the quality of this company. Hire them! Job was flawless! You will really like Mike, great personality and easy to look at.

I am very pleased with his work. I thought they were very good, prompt and reasonably priced. They are the people if one needed a plumber.

To make the repair, Mike had to cut a hole in the downstairs bath ceiling (the ceiling was repaired by another provider). He and his assistant replaced the cracked waste pipe (no more yucky water leaks--yea!) and when they were done, they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves Mike was very pleasant and professional throughout, as was his assitant and his wife Nicole, who handles the phone. I would not hesitate to use this provider again.

I called Mike based on Angies List ratings and proximity. Mike promptly returned our call (on the weekend in fact). I explained our problem, a leaking shower, and I was not positive where the shutoff was. I also gave him the shower type and approximate age. He said his hourly rate was $154.00 per hour. An appointment date was made and subquently moved forward. Mike arrived on time with a trainee, Alex. He quickly located the shutoff and identified the problem. Upon dismantling the shower fawcett he discovered that the part he had would not fit. He use portion of the old fawcett combined with some new hardware and and reassembled the unit. Throughtout the process, he was training Alex who was doing the work. He charged us for one hour labor plus tax ($176.78). That evening I discovered that the shower was still leaking but now at a very increased rate. I called and left a message that the repair had not worked and the leak was now worse. On Monday, we received a call that he would be available at 2-3 that afternoon. Again Mike arrived on time, this time with two trainees. Mike now had a new part and they replaced the leaking unit. They were through and gone within 15 minutes. He charged me for the new part ($67.85). The leak was now fixed. Mike was personable and very professionable throughout the repair. In my opinion, an "A" rating for this service call would have had the correct hardware to cover the installation, especially since the fawcett type and age were known. The time charged would have be resonable based on the complexity of the job. To me the one hour seemed excessive and involved to some extent training. This is also indicated by the fact that the second time the trainee preformed the operation in less than 15 minutes. To me and "A" rating implys total satisfaction. In this instance I believe there was room for improvement.

Outstanding! He arrived on time. He explained what he was doing and pointed out (and fixed) additional problems with our plumbing system. He cleaned up all of his work areas. He was very courteous. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a professional job at a good price.

Cody showed up right on time, was very courteous and had the job done in 20 minutes. He had to replace two grommets in the shower handle that were worn out. Sure, I could have spent an few hours doing this myself but to have it done and paid for in 30 minutes was great. The ten minutes there was for writing the bill up and my payment. It would always be nice to get it a bit cheaper... though.... I will definitely use Mike's again.

They arrived on time and the work was done swiftly and according to our request causing minimal distraction for our tenant. They handled billing with us directly as we'd hoped and we've put the whole thing behind us. Mike's did well completing the requested job and helping with our optional inquiry about replacing plastic seals in our other toilets proactively. They had all the materials needed with them and took care of those maintenance items too for the same price quoted initially.

He arrived and wasted no time. Got right at it, did the repairs and did a comprehensive inspection of his work. Replaced faulty and worn parts in 2 toilets and also replaced a broken tub drain. We were concerned about floor damage from the leak and he was able to inspect and identify the source and path of the leak and confirm that our floor was sound and that there was not an issue with mold. He was very nice, professional and knew what he was doing. It is nice to deal with such a quality family owned business. We will have him back for any pluming needs in the future.

Let me first say that the only reason I didn't go with Mike was because of timing, he was my first choice but I had to wait until my walls were demoed to see exactly what was behind them to get bids (the plumbing was 30+ years old). Mike was professional, clearly knew what he was talking about, bid competitively, and had he been able to start sooner and I had more flexibility with my timeline, he hands down would've had the job. He and Nicole were nothing but patient and accommodating with me as I went through the process with them. I'll definitely use them in the future and recommend them to my friends because outstanding customer service is rare to find these days!

The condo I bought had some faucets that were not meant for the existing sinks and caused lots of splashing. Mike got me to websites where I could choose the fixtures I wanted, and was able to get me what I wanted at well below listed retail. I was able to communicate with him via email and he always responded to my messages and returned my phone calls in a timely manner. He also did other jobs for me, like cap off pipes when I had a wet bar ripped out, and replaced some older, worn valves under a couple of sinks. And when I accidentally flushed a tube of medicine down a toilet Mike came out the next day. Mike works very fast, doesn't waste your time, seems to genuinely care about his work, and is very helpful with advice.

Mike arrived on time and examined the job. I had sent pictures of the old shutoff valve and his original estimate was $270, but when he arrived he found the pipe size was larger than what was evident from the pictures. He removed the old shutoff valve and pressure reducing valve (PRV) and took them with him to purchase the correct size parts. He returned quickly with the correct parts plus added a pressure meter to the PRV so we could monitor the pressure in our home. This was a nice addition because we sometimes experience low pressure on the third floor. Mike connected the new parts to our supply line and started writing the invoice. I asked him if he could look at a dripping tub faucet (no individual shutoff) while we had the main water shut off. He replaced the seals in two Delta faucets while explaining that almost all Delta faucets used the same seals so I could do other faucets myself. When we returned to the basement I noticed a slow drip on the new repair. Mike tightened the connector firmly and it seemed to stop the leak. He said if it leaked again, call him and he would take it apart and reconnect everything to make sure all the connections were seated securely. The final bill was $520 but the larger parts, added pressure meter, and unscheduled faucet repair accounted for the difference. Mike was very pleasant, professional, and explained all aspects of the job as he worked. Follow up: After Mike left, I found the connection was still dripping at a very slow rate. I contacted Mike and his scheduler worked with me to schedule a return visit a few days later. Follow up 2: Mike came by today and quickly fixed the small leak. He was pleasant and said if I had any additional problems to contact him again. Great customer service.

The job turned out to be much more difficult due to the previous contractor (8 years) ago putting in silicone to hold the faucets in place. Mike was unable to remove the faucet pieces without removing the silicone. He worked for three hours to get the sink/faucets in working order. Mike did a great job!

He was polite, professional, and courteous. He arrived a little bit late, but he communicated with me that he was running late. Overall, the job went fine as far as I know. I have not had any more leaks.

They gave us an estimate ahead of time with a discount which was right on what he said. My wife was the one here when they came and she said it was good. Everything is working great. The price was competitive.

It went perfectly. It was as good as it gets! Came with all the parts needed. Not a glitch! Very nice and very professional as was his wife on the phone who does the scheduling.

Scheduling is easy with them - he has an assistant that does the scheduling. For emergencies, he usually comes right away. I used him one time before this, when the sewer had backed up into the tub. He cleaned out the pipe and gave me two recommendatons on how to fix it permanently.

I can't say enough about Mike. I'd had a bad experience previously with a plumber who charged me a high diagnostic fee and then quoted me more than three times what I should have rightly paid for the job. I did my research and found Mike, and I'm so glad I did. He bent over backwards to get me scheduled as soon as possible, even though he was busy. When he had an emergency conflict, he sent an experienced colleague who got the job done in under an hour. Mike was transparent about the part cost, unlike the previous plumber, and only charged me for the part and his time. When I had some problems with the heating vents not coming on later, because air was in the pipes due to the water being shut off during the repair, Mike made a special trip to check on and fix it at no extra cost. Turns out it fixed itself, but he was fantastic to come out and check for me. I found Mike honest, responsive, knowledgeable, and fair-priced. I will definitely hire him again and would highly recommend him to others. Thanks, Mike!

Arrived when he said he would. This was important, because I had to go the airport in 4 hours. Was very professional. Job only took 20 minutes. I've had other plumbers, and he is the best so far. Would call him again.

He is absolutely just a gem. I would pay him to just come out and turn the hose on! He is just a super guy! We had him come in and re-plumb under our sink, it had a leak. He came in and got it done in under forty five minutes. It was a beautiful job and it was a complicated job .We haven't had any real plumbing problems in years but if we did he is the only person who we would call. When we made the appointment, the lady in his office was very helpful and when he came out, he was here when he said he would be. He came out and got it done. I paid him about a hundred bucks and he left. Actually it was kind of funny when he walked in, he is a great big black guy. My wife said he is a Denzil Washington look a like. He is very professional ad I was pleased with they way he did the job. For the amount of time and parts he put in it seemed to be a fair price. I like the fact that even his tools were clean and organized and even his truck was clean. He even had an emergency and called to ask if it would be okay if he came at another time, and when he did it was exactly at the time he said he would arrive.

Our 3-decades-old kitchen faucet was dripping and needed a replacement cartridge?a repair which we had done ourselves periodically over the years. We obtained the replacement cartridge from our usual retailer, but this time we found that the screw for removing our existing lever was corroded, resisting attempts to loosen it. Time to call in a professional! Mike was able to schedule the work for the next day after our call. He recognized immediately that removing the corroded screw would be impossible without damaging the entire lever mechanism, which would also be corroded. ?Yikes!? I thought, ?This sounds like a whole new faucet system and significant expense!? But Mike knew something that we didn?t?that it would be possible to obtain a new lever kit to fit our existing faucet, avoiding a major replacement. The next morning he was back with the lever kit, installed it, and our original faucet now is as good as new. Wow! That?s what I call good service! We also had him replace an ancient outside hose-faucet with a new one?something that we had been intending but never getting around to. Since he would be coming back the second day to complete the kitchen faucet, we asked him to come equipped to do the hose bibb as well. We are very pleased with his responsiveness and professionalism.

Mike arrived promptly and found inexpensive, effective fixes to my problem. He was professional, had all the parts on his truck and was in and out in under an hour!

Great guy, on time, knowledgeable, fare price. I would use him again.
