Johnson and sons gave me the kitchen of my dreams. I know that sounds like a line, but it is the truth. The original/ existing kitchen was a dark cave. Dark cabinets, cheap dark counters--just the culmination of years of bad decisions. Using the same space but a different footprint, my kitchen feels bright and spacious. We talked through every concern. They always had options. Always responsive. Always had answers. I am unquestionably hiring them again and have already recommended them to family and friends.

I decided to contact Johnson and Sons Construction for a bath remodel after reading the many positive reviews posted on Angie's List. Vic responded quickly and came out soon after to look at the project. He spent quite some time answering my many questions and gave good advice, even before I selected JASC for the project. The whole crew...John, Tony, and Russ were great to work with. They communicated their plans for each day, were on time and worked hard. And most importantly they did a great job. The bath looks great! I recommend them highly and will contact them again for my next remodel project.

I can't say enough about the workers who did the work. All were professional; arrived on time, and did an excellent job.

They were on time and worked well with our schedule. Would hire them again. The remodel took about 30 days and they were always in contact with us. The bathroom is finished just the way we wanted it to be done.

Highly recommend this company. Excellent design advice, determined to make sure that the customer is satisfied with even the smallest detail. Where other contractors don't show up, don't return calls, don't finish the job, you don't have any of these issues with this company.

Our home still had the original 1962 kitchen and we wanted to completely renovate it. We worked with Vic from Johnson and Sons, and expanded the the kitchen from 80 sqft to over 200, moved all the appliances ~15-20 feet, ran new electric/water/gas, rebuilt the floor, knocked down a wall, rewired a lot of the old wiring, and got all new cabinets + countertops. This was our first major remodel and since we weren't doing this to flip the house, we wanted to really do it right. Vic was helpful, courteous, and energetic and really helped us figure out the right approach. I was impressed at how reliable they were, with them only showing up late once or twice over the 2.5 months they were working on the house. Vic and his guys were also good communicators and we never felt we were in the dark. Like all older houses, ours had its fair share of craziness that we only found out once we opened up the walls and ceiling. Vic and the rest of the people at Johnson and Sons were always helpful and solution-oriented, which helped keep things moving along. They're pre-work price estimate + timeframe were pretty spot on too. The final price was about 3% higher, which is not bad at all! The timeframe was pretty accurate too, and hard to blame them for the week and a half delay caused by Seattle's Snow-pocalypse of 2019. We look forward to working with Vic and Johnson and Sons again in the future. They will definitely be our go-to-guys when we need work done!

The kitchen is so much more functional, and it looks great too. We did a full remodel (i.e. appliances, cabinets, flooring, countertops) and started around the end of October. I would say don't start then due to the holidays causing delays, but Johnson and Sons pushed to make it happen as soon as humanly possible. If I had a question, or concern, they were just a phone call away.

Excellent! Vic and all of his contractors were on time, respectful of the house, worked around our somewhat chaotic schedule, and did outstanding work! I don't know if what we paid is considered high or low for this type of work. I can state with 100% confidence that it was worth every penny! We are so pleased with the final outcome and will use them again should the need arise. I recommend Johnson and Sons Construction without reservation!

Vic and his team were a pleasure to work with. The price for the amount of work we had done was very competitive with anyone else we got a quote from. His communication with us from the planning stage to completion was excellent! He went out of his way to squeeze our project in during his busy season so it would be completed before the arrival of our newborn baby. Even 9 months pregnant, I always felt stress free working with them and like we were in good hands. We got our beautiful 3/4 guest bath put in downstairs just in time for family to come stay and help with our new baby. We would definitely work with this company again! Do yourself a favor and use them as well!

We couldn’t be happier with the final product and we keep finding ourselves doing double takes, staring at our kitchen and floors, telling each other how lucky we are to enjoy such an awesome space that we have been talking about for the past 5 years. They worked very hard to accommodate any changes and adjustments that came up along the way and all of the workers involved in the project were very friendly and eager to make sure we were happy with the end result of each individual stage of the renovation. We highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat!

It went very well. We had an unusual floor plan in that the shower area was built on a round wall. This made retiling the shower a huge challenge. They were honest sharing with us what a challenge it would be to retile the shower but they were willing to take this project on. I had several other bids but no one was willing to take on my bathroom project because of the round wall. I was given good advice on what to tile to look for in order for this project to be successful. They were honest in telling me what products would work and what wouldn't work for this remodel. In the end, we were very happy with the final product. They would respond to any of my questions or concerns in a timely manner. They were helpful with suggestions on what I wanted to be done for the remodel. They made sure we were happy with the final product and took care of all loose ends before we the final payment was made.

Vic and his crew were friendly, professional and competent, and held the schedule. Vic went the extra mile to get the subcontractors lined up, and located an available sink when the ones specified were not available or had a 6-week lead time. The did an excellent job overall and especially with the trim. An error with the countertop overhang was corrected immediately. I'll definitely approach them for future jobs.

Johnson and Sons did some basic remodeling and replaced a tub with a walk-in shower, plus floor replacement with tile. This was the second partial bathroom we had them do. Their best quality is their constant communication, you always know what's going on and when, and they are extremely responsive. Anything that we weren't happy about, they wanted the opportunity to fix and did. We had some hold ups with waiting for parts, but that was more about the lag time in being in the queue for busy contractors (and those parts being discontinued in the meantime), not negligence. They stuck to their estimate, no creeping up of costs other than things we discovered when the walls came down which were discussed with us first. I think the best recommendation is that we went back to them after the first job, and we'll ask them to bid again when it comes time for the kitchen!

Integrity, reliability and excellent communication. These words best describe Vic, his crew, and his subcontractors. Good people that work hard to deliver, offer good solutions, and follow up and follow through matter when you are trusting someone with your home. Construction at times can be challenging and there are always talking point discussions and many times unforeseen details and circumstances that come up. Vic was more than willing to not only go over these details but he made sure that we were happy with the project outcome. I’ve worked with quite a few contractors. Johnson and Sons Construction rises to the top because the core of their company is trust, built on integrity... aside from the fact that we love the look of our Master bathroom! We will continue to recommend Vic and Johnson and Sons Construction to our family, friends and colleagues for their quality of work, professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you so much Vic!

Vic was very personable, very prompt in responding to our questions, addressed any problems that came up in a positive way. He provided suggestions about some of our ideas, but was also fine with things that we felt strongly about. All of his people were respectful and engaging and conscientious about doing a good job. We recently remodeled our master bathroom with Johnson and Sons Construction. They did a beautiful job and were fantastic to work with. I would highly recommend Vic Johnson and his crew to anyone looking for a contractor who is honest, professional, experienced, and is committed to providing high quality work. At one point during our project, our floor tile was not laid out properly. Before I even saw the work, Vic contacted me immediately to let me know it was not laid out to his satisfaction and he had the tile removed and replaced (at no expense to us). He responds to messages quickly and gave us almost daily updates on the project. We had a great experience with Vic and would gladly work with him again!

would like to recommend Vic Johnson, of Johnson and Sons construction to you. They completed a kitchen remodel in our house. My wife and I are very pleased with his work and had a great experience. He was professional and timely with his estimate, sent us detailed emails regarding timeline and outlined what he was doing, and what we needed to accomplish. When we were looking for materials he gave us recommendations. He started on time and kept a very tight schedule with his workers and his subcontractors. He answered every question we had with patience, and also called every night to check in. He completed the job on task and on budget even though we ran into a few issues with our older house. When a few small items needed to be addressed at the end of our job he was prompt, and fixed them willingly. We are very pleased with his work.

My wife and I decided to have a contractor remodel our rather large master bathroom. We interviewed about 12 contractors in June 2017 looking for a contractor that could do the job between September 11th and November 6th, 2017 who had good reviews. My daughter was expecting our 2nd grandbaby and we were providing daycare to our 3 year old granddaughter with plans of providing daycare to both her and the new baby grandson starting on November 6th once our daughter’s family leave expired and she resume her work schedule. Note: I don’t name companies or give reviews on companies that I don’t actually do business with. From the first meeting in talking with Vic Johnson of Johnson and Sons Construction, Edmonds, WA, we hit it off real good. Vic was very professional and met with us multiple times and we had multiple phone conversations to both ensure our selections were ironed out and that actual costs were identified. Our time frame was going to work for him as well. Vic was very helpful as we made our selections for everything, A to Z. We worked **** ** our selections but without Vic’s knowledge of current products and materials we would not have had such a good outcome. When the work was to start, Vic and his team showed up at exactly 8:00AM on September 11th (as they did most days) and introduced us to John and Tony who do the work. I have worked with other contractors who seem to work on other jobs while yours is left hanging – that didn’t happen. John and Tony worked full days Monday through Friday for just over 4 weeks until our project was substantially complete. We had some short waiting periods for sub contractors who were real plumbers, real electricians, and a real roofer. We waited cabinet parts, and high-quality shower door glass to arrive, but it was all ordered well in advance. There was about a 2-week period where not much was going on and we were waiting for the quartz company, doors and moldings to arrive, shower door glass. Vic took care of submitting plans for obtaining the proper permits, etc. I’m old, so admittedly, I had some sticker shock at the costs of doing such a project, but Vic was real kind and patient with me. This was a complete reconfiguration of our original floor plan, so electrical, plumbing, and structural elements had complete changes. We had two surprises to no fault of our contractor. We got the wrong size rollout from the cabinet company for under the sink on one side of our vanity and the door company who was providing doors, jambs, and moldings to be an exact match to our cabinets overlooked including the door jamb wood to our pocket door and our closet door. Vic gave us a choice of just waiting for the door company to provide the exact woods or if we could work together to finish some wood quickly to match. We did a real good job coming close the first time, but Vic insisted that it had to be exact. Vic came through with all new wood and much to our amazement we had an exact color match and the project was completed on time with perfect results. We love our newly remodeled bathroom. I come from a life long career in maintenance and construction. So, I’m used to dealing with contractors & skilled craftsmen and I can tell you that it just doesn’t get any better than this. I cannot say enough good about John and Tony’s workmanship. John was the Leadsperson on the project and he is very methodical and measured and planned every cut to come out exact. I highly recommend Johnson and Sons Construction…

I waited over 3 weeks for my appointment day to come and then he no shows without a call or email. I hope he is more efficient with his other clients because he lost one here.

They did a great job. This is the second time we've used Johnson and Sons Construction. The first time was for a kitchen remodel, with which we are thrilled. Not only did they do a great job on both our kitchen and our family room, but if I have a question or issue about anything, Vic Johnson responds right away with an answer or help. With regard to the the tile in our family room, Vic gave us guidance on what to look for when we chose the tile, and the installer did a magnificent job of laying out the squares in a great design, and came back after it was done to completely remove a slight film that had developed.

Absolutely amazing contractor. Very clear communication from beginning to end. Very helpful in planning stages. Vic Johnson (contractor) was always accessible and very responsive. On time always, and always professional, efficient, and friendly. The quality of the work is extremely nice - the bathroom looks beautiful. His first priority seemed to be our complete satisfaction and he would do whatever was needed to make us happy with the entire project. If we do more remodeling I would hire this contractor in a heartbeat.

This is an update to the previous review. I accidentally clicked the "C" button for Responsiveness by mistake. Vic was always on time and punctual plus a phone call away at ANY time of the day! We are planning on replacing our front roof fascia using Vic's services. On another note, he gave us a heads up to use Bill's Glass in Lynnwood to replace all our windows back in November. For the same price as half a house install from another installer, we received the entire home replacement for $13,000!! We were very satisfied with this sub-contractor.

He not only was very helpful and forthcoming about that job, but was a wealth if advice and references about several other jobs around the house!!

They weren't the successful bidder but they were very professional. The company I chose I ended up choosing because I worked with them in the past and knew their work and reliability. But I was very impressed with Johnson and Sons when they came out and did a walk thru with me and all that. I think it was a little bit more than the other company but on the other had I look back their work might have been a little more inclusive too. The quote was professional.

I contacted Vic early in 2016 for my master bath remodel. I needed to postpone the remodel for a few months so I contacted Vic again at the end of 2016 and he remembered the visit to my place. I had designed the remodel in my head and Vic was so great with the details, bounce ideas around, color choices, etc. As someone else reviewed, he knew before I did what would work the best. He was available by phone, email and/or text almost daily for 3 weeks. As we all know, a remodel can be a tad disruptive and I was amazed at how quickly the remodel happened. The team Vic brought in - John and Tony - were awesome. I am so very pleased with my bathroom remodel. I highly recommend Vic and his team.
