Erik did a great job trimming and pruning my trees including conifers, a laurel hedge and a fruit tree. Reasonable price. I should have taken before and after pics. I'll definitely call him again next time I need tree work done.

Eric and his crew did a great job. I had two mature fig trees that had outgrown where I had planted them over a decade ago. Erik responded to my request for help, met with me, we agreed on a price, and he and his crew arrived promptly and did a great job. They were professional and respectful, hardworking and cleaned up. I would definitely recommend Erik Nye the Tree Guy.

I had already gotten a quote from another tree company. Called Erik to get a second quote, which ended up being a little less, so I decided to go with him. We agreed on the work to be performed and scheduled a time to get it done. On the day of the job, they were late. This wasn't a huge deal since he warned me ahead of time that they are often late, and I expected it based on other reviews. Once they arrived, they needed to borrow a drill and an extension ladder from me because they apparently had not come prepared. After about 2 hours, Erik then came to my door to tell me that they needed to make a supply run and would be right back, which was again baffling since he knew exactly what work he was supposed to perform beforehand. After a couple hours of waiting for him to return, I decided to call and see what the hold up was. I could not get ahold of him. More time passed, and he didn't bother to get back to me until 7pm (after being away for 5 hours). He informed me that they were still planning on coming back and finishing the job that night. Another 2 hours passed without hearing anything, and he finally texted to tell me that they would need to come back the next morning. I was pretty annoyed about this since I had already taken one day off of work in order to be at the house only to spend the majority of my day stuck there unable to run errands or do anything because I didn't know when they'd return. Now he was telling me I would have to stay home a second day. On the second day, he was late again. In fact, late is a gross understatement. He never showed up in the morning so I tried to get ahold of him after noon. When he finally got back to me, he simply sent a text saying "morningISH". More time passed without him bothering to give me an ETA. He didn't end up showing up until 7pm in the evening, which meant I took an entire day off of work for nothing. I found his complete lack of respect for me and my time to be very frustrating. He got to work and continued well into the night (until about 10:30pm, much to the dismay of my neighbors). In the end, he didn't fully finish the job but I didn't want to deal with him for a third day. I had checked on the work several times throughout the night, and he only ever went into one of the two trees he was supposed to clean up. He also did not have time (or light) to cleanup the cuts on the other various trees like he had promised. I didn't want to argue with him not doing his job, and simply paid him so that he would be on his way. In addition to the amount we had agreed on, he also demanded that I pay him $80 for supplies he had purchased.

Another case of being given a deal when the provider does not cover my geographical area. This is an issue you need to pay more attention to, as this has happened before. Please reformat your forms. If I indicated that the work was not performed, I should not be given the error message that the work perform date is missing, as well as the cost. I also got this message when I indicated N/A under ratings: "The Overall grade you selected is higher than the other grades you selected. Please make any changes below (if desired) and click the Submit button to continue." This is a major reason I do not waste my time on reviews.

I contacted him, he said he would come out several times via email and never showed up. I got more insistant on email and phone calls and he ended up coming out, and wanted to upsell me. He gave me the impression that since it was a special deal he would get to me when he gets to me. He said he would be back the next day and he never showed up. There were several instances that he said he would come, and never showed up. I am really unhappy with him.

He was great. He called me back several times and met up with me and was nice every time. He was professionally dressed for his profession. He had boots and a flannel shirt. I'm gonna have him do the work. It's just figuring out what I'm gonna do. He was prompt. He called me back the same day.

I had him come out and give an estimate, but the price was more than I was looking to pay. There was also some difficulty in scheduling the appointment.

The coupon was purchased in September 2013. First contact was made in October or November 2013. The provider claims he stopped by the house to check out the job I explained over the phone. I was not there when he did. He was a lot less enthusiastic about the job once I explained that I was in the middle of a divorce and did not have extra money to spend on yard work for now. After a couple more phone calls were exchanged at the beginning of the year, with the same promise, never fulfilled ("i will take care of it!") I finally lost patience and called Erik on Friday February 14 to request for the job to be completed by Sunday February 23. I was curt to show him I was losing patience. He replied his usual: "I will take care of it, as soon as we are in your area." -- Edmonds is not that far from Woodinville. Apparently they never made it to my area over the following eight days, since the job still has not been completed. My house is about to go on the market following the divorce, and I am going to have to hire someone else. I am asking for a full refund. Thank you.

I was pleased with the work that Bill Nye did. He arrived on time and we discussed what I wanted done. Bill pruned branches that were growing over my roof from three large trees. He filled up my yard waste container. The rest of the branches were cut into manageable lengths and piled in the driveway for me to discard in future weeks in the yard waste container. I was impressed with Bill's deep knowledge about trees and his enthusiasm about his work.

Contacted the guy after buying the "Last Chance", 2 months later he showed up at my home on a Sunday afternoon insisting on seeing the trees even though my husband said I wasn't home. I got home and met the man in my back yard. He quoted me a very high price to do the work and said I would owe him an additional $400 to do my 2 small apple trees and 2 small pear trees. I said I paid for $199 for $400 worth of work. He said it would be $600-$800 to do those trees. Long story short, when I called to follow up in December he couldn't give me a time to come out and ultimately said he doesn't make enough money from Angie's list to come out and do the work, but to call him the next day (he couldn't commit to a time or day). We are not comfortable going forward.

We ordered a tree service in September 2013, on of the Big Deals. We have spoken to him several times on his cell phone to schedule the service. He has stood us up several times after we made appointments, and after four months is still not show. For example, this week we spoke to him and told him of our frustration. He said he would be at the house Friday at 3 pm. He never showed, again, and never called, again. We have asked Angie's list to refund our purchase.

He said he was not being paid enough from Angie's List so he did not do all of the work promised in the deal. He said that any clean up would be extra. We had to ask him to come back to clean up his mess and even after he did come back he only cleaned up some and not all. We purchased the deal back in September and made contact but he just now got around to the service. Even after he did come back he left a bunch of debris in not only our yard but our neighbors yards as well. He used our neighbors yard waste cans to dispose of his mess. We made it clear that we would pay him on a certain day, and yet he still asked for it early in a very intimidating way.

Great, Came next Day and finish same day.

He did a good job. He did what we needed him to do and I would recommend him.

The service turned out fine. He removed 2 small trees and also trimmed 2 trees. I was not present when he did the work, but I assume he finished the work within 3 hours. He came out and took care of the work the day that we met.

I didn't end up buying the angie's list deal and was disappointed with their customer service. It took weeks

I purchased the tree service from Erik on the 22nd of Sept. 2013. Erik contacted me via Angies list to thank me and set up a meeting on the 25th of Sept. I sent him my phone number on the 25th and didn't hear from him until the 7th of Oct. He informed me that there were a few other clients in front of me and asked what was a good time frame for me. I called him and set a time line. I emailed him again on the 26th to see if there were other clients ahead of me. I was emailed on the 27th of Oct. Erik's response: Hi Tim, We have you on the schedule for this week. I will call you today to set a time. Thank you for your patience. No schedule and no phone call I called Erik several times on the 5th of Nov and sent a message via Angies list. Erik came out for the first time on the 5th to view the job. I emailed him on the 6th to confirm the price quotes that he gave me. No response. I email him again on the 11th of Nov. He responded on the 11th and let him know that I needed time to get the extra money on the 16th of Nov. I emailed him again on the 23rd of Nov and the 3rd of Dec. to try and schedule the work. Erik came out a second time to show intent and tell me that his workers could make it. Each time he came out he tried to sell me herbal coffee and tea. The first time he ?Jokingly? said that I could get a better price if I purchased a case of tea. Since then I have tried to call Erik at least 5 times (10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 18th of Dec) No responses or attempts to contact me. At this point it is VERY apparent that the work will not be done and I would like a complete refund. This has been hands down, the worst experience I have had purchasing online. Tim Collins

I did not hear from him for about 3 weeks and sent an e-mail to Angie's list asking for my money back. In between the time I sent this e-mail and someone called from you company, he contacted me after I left a message on his phone. He apologized saying he was overwhelmed with the response. So I cancelled asking for my money back on the voucher to follow through on getting the job done. We set up a tentative appointment for Friday Oct 11th dependent on when he got done with his other job. It was dark by the time he was done so, he was going to check his schedule and get back to me. After not hearing from him, I again called on Oct 18th to let him know I was home if he could make it out to give me a quote for the job, he again said he was on another job and would call if he could make it out. He did not call. It is now Oct 28th 10 days since the last time I called and have not heard back from him. In our first conversation I let him know I am not in a hurry to get the job done and I could work with him on scheduling but just needed to keep in contact so I know he is trying to make it work with me and the job I have already paid for. This has not happened. I have been calling him. I bought this voucher on Sept 20th 2013. At the beginning of Nov he said he hired office person to set up appointments. This person did call to set up a appointment but never showed up. I again called Erik about this and he said to txt me my address again and what I wanted done and he would come out to get a quote together. I have not heard from him. I would like my money back I paid for the voucher. $199.00. Please follow through on getting my money back for a job the has not been done.

I had an Angie's List coupon. Erik is a nice guy but I think this Angie Deal really hurt him. He seemed overwhelmed and unresponsive. He rescheduled on me 3 times. The final product, the trimmed tree, looks good and he wanted to make sure I was happy with the outcome. But he also left me to clean up the debris. Very friendly but it bordered on unprofessional.

After purchasing the coupon for tree service, I had not heard from Erik. I initiated an email and got a reply about two weeks later, phone conversations for him to start work the week of October 7. No show of him that week and the following week, there were conversations on the phone about him coming, and yet he did not. I gave up for a few days and again initiated a phone call on Monday, Nov. 11. He said he would be out on Thursday,the 14th, to do the work. He was a no show and no call. I called him that morning to confirm the appointment and left a voice message. Later in the day, I called again and the voice mail was full. I called on Friday to let him know I am cancelling the coupon and requesting a refund, however his voice mail is full and not taking messages.

We bought the coupon, tried to call, left a message. Called again, he talked to my husband, set up a day/time. He would not be specific and said "sometime Friday the 18th of October." I waited around ALL day, he texted at 3:30pm and said he was having car trouble, he'd be by the next day, he texted the next day and said, how about next week. The next Saturday he showed up, we thought he was going to do $400 worth of work that day, he didn't have his help. He looked around, said he'd do 3 trees, and it would be another $100. We said fine. We thought he would be back later that day or let us know when, he has not called or done the work. I don't have time to track him down. I want refund and will be really careful about buying a 'deal' in the future.

We had five small to medium trees in our yard that needed light trimming and one tree we wanted significantly trimmed. Eric had an Angie?s Big Deal and good reviews so we bought the Big Deal. We received a message from Eric within a few days and then heard nothing. We called after a few weeks. He asked us to text our address and he would send someone to take a look. No one came. We called again, this time a bit angry because we wanted the work done before the leaves fell. He said he was on his way. He showed up three hours later. I walked around the yard with him and showed him the trees we needed trimmed. His pricing was $50 to $100 per tree, even the smaller ones. If we wanted him to clean up the debris it would double the price. In the end I would owe $600 in addition to the $199 I had already paid which was supposed to be worth $400. I ended up having him just trim three of the most bothersome trees, leaving the branches behind for us to clean up. He said he used his chain saw on the branches so they?d be easy to put in the bin and it should fit in one bin. He did cut some, not all, of the branches and it took three bins. A neighbor had gotten a Living Social deal for $199 for tree trimming. They came, took out two huge trees and hauled off three truckloads of debris. I wish I had gotten the name of that person before the neighbor moved. As far as professionalism, he spent far too much time talking about things other than tree trimming.

After several phone calls and a couple of e-mails to him, he never came to trim the trees.
