Certified Tank Decommissioner - for underground fuel storage tanks to include heating oil, gasoline, etc. for both commercial and residential properties.
Certified Site Assessor - for underground fuel storage tanks to include sampling, soil remediation, etc.
I'm a registered contractor with the State PLIA program and have extensive knowledge on how the program works. Most customer's are unaware that they can easily loose the PLIA coverage by not knowing the details that I know about the program.
If you are in the process of switching from oil heat to gas or another source, give me a call prior to any work being done and I can walk you through the process so you do not have any accidents or spills in your household. I can also advise you on how to decommission your tank properly. I provide free estimates. I can also do tank locates and tank installations. I have been doing this type of work for 10 years and have a lot of knowledge in this field. I've worked for many homeowner's and customer service is of the most importance to me. I've also worked for many General Contractors, Cities, Fire Dept. and School Districts on larger tank projects. I call myself the "Tank Lady" and I work cooperatively and resourcefully with my clients in getting them the best price for their work. When you call 206-510-9497, you will get me (unless I'm on another call :)
Description of Work: Diane did a great job in guiding the whole long process of getting insurance coverage via PLIA, taking the steps needed and completing the job as promised.

Description of Work: Decommissioned old 300-gallon oil tank. Dug down, then pumped the remaining oil out, triple rinsed, and removed from property. Crew was on time, hard-working, and even found a creative way to save a small tree above the tank. |Diane and her crew were all a pleasure to work with.

Description of Work: They came on time, dug out the tank, filled in the hole (this they could have done a bit better to match the contour of the ground) and were friendly and courteous while doing it. Would recommend them and not hesitate using their services again. Good folks.

Another contractor came out and showed me indications that it was at least 800, probably 1000 gallons. I provided this information to Diane and asked for a quote based on a larger tank and her response was to provide photos to discredit the other contractor. She then said she could come back and re-quote a larger tank and never showed up. I went with the other contractor.

I'm sorry I could not make it back out to your site again. I believe it turned out to be a 600 gallon UST.

Description of Work: I originally contacted them in August so the work would be done before cold weather set in. The initial meeting was within one week to estimate the work to be done. (Remove existing in ground heating oil tank, any soil remediation required, and install a new above ground tank. After that I had to constantly call to see when they were going to start and given one excuse after another. If they didn't answer the phone I would have to keep calling because they would never return any calls. It took over a month just to get them to come pump out the old tank. After another month of excuses and no-shows I contacted another company who completed the work within 10 days.

I have a proposal dated July 29, 2013. I have a soil sample dated August 2, 2013 (the day the tank was removed). An insurance claim was filed with the State. Approval of that claim came back September 3, 2013. September 18, 2013 was when I was notified by Mr. [member name removed] that he had hired someone else to do the cleanup because he couldn't wait any longer. My apologies to Mr. [member name removed] as I did get busy during that time we were waiting on the State to approve the claim.

Diane's was very helpful and willing to come out and take care of everything when we could not be at home. They let themselves in through the gate, took away the above-ground oil tank that was on our property when we bought it, and left not a trace behind after them. We dropped a check in the mail when we got the bill and it was probably the most painless experience we've ever had hiring someone to do something for our house! I don't think we'll have the opportunity to contact them about anything again, now that the tank is gone, but we were perfectly happy with our experience!

I’d highly recommend them! They were here with excellent employees. Couldn’t have done a better job! She was easy to work with. We got 2-3 bids and she was the least. We also liked her the most too.

Phase 1: * Scope of work: Dig out, and remove 300 gallon abandoned oil tank., backfill dirt. * Aprox cost: $850.00 * Diane came out as promised, but during the removal of this tank, found that the tank had leaked, see the phase 2 information below for the cost and time associated with addressing that. Phase 2: * Scope of work: remove 12 tons of PCS (petroleum contaminated soil) and installation of bio-remediation system to include all back fill, soil sampling, RAFR (remedial action final report). * Aprox cost: $5,300.00 * Diane went out of her way to move our date up since the closing on this house sale was pending getting this addressed, she was able to get the work done quickly (digging was like 2 or 3 days, and then another 3 -4 day waiting on soil samples and getting the report completed). When we had question after the work was done, she made time to talk to us, even though she was being paid by the seller, and not buy us (we were the buyers in the transaction). As a side note - we had planned to re-do the landscaping in the area that Diane worked, so we told her we didn't care what state that are was left in. Her crew put back many of the plants, even though they didn't have to (though about 1/2 of them didn't make it). They also took down a fence to get some of the digging equipment in, which they put back after they were done.
Description of Work: Dug up and removed oil tank in North Everett, once contamination was found (e.g. an oil leak), came back, removed a bunch of dirt and put in a mitigation system, then returned the site to it's previous condition, and filled all required permits / reports with county.

Showed up an hour late for an appointment to estimate the job. When she came, she was not respectful of my time, and also proposed a bad solution to a fence being in the way, and didn't listen when I expressed my concerns. I never received the quote that was promised.

I called to let her know I was running late. I was not able to provide her an estimate as the fence would need to be removed and she indicated she did not want it removed.

Description of Work: Diane's removed an old oil tank for me and I was highly impressed. They responded promptly for my request for an estimate. The estimate was over a thousand dollars below the other estimate I got from another company and very fair. They were very booked but were willing to do it on a weekend if I didn't mind at no extra cost. They showed up exactly on time and did an excellent job. I was pleased beyond my expectations and would highly recomend them.

I met Diane at the Seattle Homeshow and was impressed with her professional attitude and the reasonable price she quoted for removal of an oil tank. We had an old tank in our yard and were switching over to natural gas .We had been trying to decide whether we should fill it in place or have it taken out. She was very educational but not pushy and I felt she had our best interests in mind. She came to do a bid very quickly (we had 3 bids) and decided that her services were very similar to all the others, but felt she would do the best job overall, especially if the tank had leaked. Our tank was covered by the Washington State liability insurance which was very useful, considering the tank had leaked underground. What started out as a tank removal turned into an underground "chase" for soil containing the leaked oil and removal of all that. Her workers were thorough, careful (my rhodies are still alive!), arrived prompltly and worked hard. The extensive paperwork was handled carefully and hand-delivered to my home at the end. She kept me in touch with the stages of the process via email and was available by phone when I needed to ask her questions. It was a very successful home improvement and I wish that all businesses were all as good at what they do!
Description of Work: Bidding, oil tank excavation in front yard, extraction of oil contaminated soil, removal of tank and disposal, replacement of soil to fill in the giant hole in the front yard, paperwork for the state's insurance plan.

They actually did the work on a Sunday because they were backed up. The price included the permit costs through the city. They were great. We had talked to them at the home show. Because they got so much work at the home show they got backed up a little bit but they did make the effort to come out on a Sunday. They let us know ahead of time that they were going to be here on that day and they showed up right when they said they were going to. It was the owner of the company plus the guy who ran the backhoe. They had the tank out and the dirt all put back within two hours. They were very efficient and great to work with. They cleaned up after themselves. They had put the dirt on the driveway but they swept and cleaned it up. Other than the pile of dirt it was like they had never been here. They hauled the tank away. The employees were very nice and very professional. They went above and beyond what they were really required to do. We had asked them to dig some dirt out of our driveway to fill the hole back in. They had brought dirt but we had them dig out our driveway instead. We had to have gravel brought in for our driveway and they prepped it for us. They didn't charge us any more for that. They incorporated that in with it so they really went above and beyond. We'd had a quote from another company that was incredibly higher, almost ten times as much, so their price was much more reasonable. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We would use them again and we would highly recommend them.
