 + -1 moreI had some teenage boys visiting my house. I didn't have a password on my computer. They were browsing websites that they shouldn't have. My computer started wigging out and doing strange things like taking me to websites I had no idea existed. It took forever to boot up or to do anything. I took it in for examination.
Description of Work: Computer wasn't booting even in safe mode so he booted it up and cleaned off the robot trojan virus that was killing it.

Description of Work: Over the past 20 years, Tim has repaired a whole array of home computer problems for us, including malware removal, data recovery, upgrades to memory, video cards, hard disks, etc. He has also been kind enough to make clear when a repair is not worth while.

 + -1 moreEight year old HP laptop used for email and web surfing was not booting up completely. It would turn itself off before fully turning itself on. I explained that I did not need a high performing computer and would like it to be nursed back to health so I can use it for a couple more years. I left the laptop with him. He made a quick diagnosis, determined it could be saved and only charged $70 for his work. The laptop has worked perfectly since. I think he was nice, I think he was ethical and I think he knew what he was doing.
Description of Work: Repaired computer that would not turn on.
