We hired Southwick Homes based on our research and friends. We started the building process and he never finished. He started the job in August of 2007 and had to fire him in August 2008. Nothing was finished. We had the structure up and the drywall but that was it. All of the contractors did sloppy work. For example, all of the doors need to be held pushed in before they will lock. We weren't able to put linoleum under our dishwasher because the counter and cabinets weren't measured right. He had all of the exact measurements of our appliances from the beginning. We asked him to build a ramp outside the home along the side of the house. He charged us $2000 extra because he said that we never mentioned it until after construction had started. We trusted him and we shouldn't have. He overcharged for us for several items included in the construction. When we fired him, we had to end up hiring another builder to finish the rest of the house so we could move in. When we fired him, he threatened to put a lien against the home but we never heard from him again.
