+ -1 moreHE NEVER SHOWED UP! NEVER CALLED! A week ago I set up an appointment for him to come to give an estimate. He was scheduled to come at 1:30 pm At 4:30 I called him and asked if there was a misunderstanding. He fumbled around with his words and said "ah yeah you were the one wanting cabinet lights" I said yes, along with several other things. He then said "ah, yeah, something came up. I didn't want the job anyway". So this professional idiot couldn't take time to call me and tell me this? I set aside time to be home expecting him to come. Too bad for him. I know several people in the construction industry and I will have NOTHING good to say about Dorsey Electric. He deserves this bad review! Find a different electrician for the job!
Description of Work: Cabinet lights ,electrical outlets, ceiling fan and chandeliers.

+ -1 moreMy wife was happy with the gentleman's professionalism and dedication to solving the problem. She had trouble following his jargon at some points, and in retrospect I should have scheduled the service for a time I could have been home. Our only complaint was that he tracked dirt from outside through the house and left a mess in the area where he installed the outlets. I understand this may be par for the course, but it was our only real point of dissatisfaction. The electrical work seems worth what we paid.
Description of Work: He worked out a few oddities in the electrical system that I was unaware of as the 2nd owner of this house. He identified the GFCI outlet in the downstairs bathroom at the other end of the house that was the cause of the master bathroom outlets being non-functional. He then spent hours in our attic tracing wires to outlets under the eaves to determine that the original electrician had never wired the outlets into the breaker box. He then corrected that situation, installing GFCIs inline and making those outlets functional.

+ -1 moreHe charges a going rate but he actually came out after hours and fixed the problem. He didn't charge overtime but only charged regular charge. This is an old place and had an old breaker but he is a kind of individual that peruses the internet and collects old electrical parts. So he actually had a quick part in hand. He went home and brought it and installed it in all one night. It was getting colder and we wanted electric heat and it was very much appreciated.
Description of Work: I used Dorsey Electric for electrical. He had to troubleshoot and replace a main breaker.
