Mr. Brown works from his "home" in Deer Park, Washington. When we worked with him, he called his company "New Villages". Mr. Brown presented impressive project experience but failed to listen to our requests nor communicate in a timely fashion except when he wanted to be paid. He failed to produce a usable set of plans even after we had to retain an attorney. His contract stipulated binding arbitration for dispute resolution, which we thought was a good idea when we signed the contract. What we did not know was that the contract was an AIA boilerplate contract for large commercial projects that required the arbitration be handled by the American Arbitration Association. What was not known until our attorney researched it was that it would cost upwards of $20,000 to even begin the arbitration process because the contract was intended for large commercial projects. We were left to drop the arbitration and walk away after paying Mr. Brown $7,000 for design work and $3,000 for engineering work that was unusable and more than a year behind the schedule we had originally agreed to. While involved with trying to resolve issues with Mr. Brown, we discovered an online report from a previous client of his in Kettle Falls that had a similar experience. We also found a couple of contractors that also expressed significant displeasure with having to work with Mr. Brown due to his unresponsiveness to resolving issues during construction or simply not delivering drawings in a timely fashion. Unless you really love problems and desire delays in your project, DO NOT HIRE OR CONTRACT WITH DENNIS MICHAEL BROWN.

Denny was excellent with the level of detail he provided for our foundation on the new house. He worked hard and tried to accommodate our desires while trying to keep material costs down. He interacted with local lumber yards to make sure we had access to the appropriate materials. He also talked with the modular home company and the set crew to ensure the design was accurate. Denny also sold us the ICF blocks and a foundation design (obviously not included in the price above). He cut, assembled, and laid out most of the first two courses of ICFs. Denny is really a friendly and accommodating indvidual to work with, which is why we flew him out from Washington. Will definitely be hiring him in the future to draft and design our carriage house and possibly our decks. Thank you!
