This company was very professional yet easy to work with. They gave us a great competitive bid and scheduled us in a timely manner. They answered all questions right away. The project was finished in 2 days (1 day to take out old driveway and get it ready for the concrete and day 2 was the concrete pour). They will not pour new concrete when itâ s raining. All members of the team were very polite and they respected our property. I would recommend them to you for your business.

Island Concrete replaced my old broken driveway and walkway with new concrete and did an excellent job. They worked fast and efficiently and I had a nice new concrete driveway and walkway in 2 days. They also worked within my HOA covenants which some of the contractors werenâ t willing to put up with. They are a family business and crew that work well together.

Terrible job. The $36K new driveway and patio has more cracks in it than the 50 year old one I replaced. There are low spots that puddle and grow moss. They backed the mixer up the driveway and caught the rebar mesh and it is at the surface in a couple places and rusting. I have tried for 2 years to get them to address the problems and they are too busy taking other peoples money to stand behind their work.

Did not use steel reinforcing bars in the concrete slab. Used some type of plastic rebar that I was not able to identify (might be an FRP bar but I did not see any fibers in the pieces of rebar that were cut off). They splattered concrete all over the garage doors and brick veneer on our house and on the surrounding exposed aggregate steps and landing. They tried to clean the brick with an acid wash but it ended up being a bigger mess so I had to bring the brick mason back to replace some bricks that were too heavily coated with concrete mortar to repair by acid washing to repeat the acid washing several times to get the remaining concrete off the brick. Had to have several entire brick walls totally acid washed to get the brick to have the same appearance after the concrete was removed. They were unresponsive to my telephone calls but eventually agreed to refund the cost of the brick repairs and replacement. Concrete finishing is low quality with tooled joints torn and raveled.

I would recommend relative and friends to this company. They are friendly and hard working people. I trusted their work and the money I put in. The owner worked hard with his people making sure the job is fully accomplished in the manner that I like. I am fully satisfied with the outcome of my driveway, although they were missing some tools to use during the pouring of cement. I believe on their creativenesses and common sense to the job. We hired Island Concrete to do the ground prep and pour of a 10'x20' concrete slab that we will be placing a shed on. The end result was nice enough to be a patio! (Too bad it's going to be completely covered by a shed.) It was a pleasure to work with Island Concrete and we do plan to hire them again in the future.
