He took a gret deal of time formulating his estimate, and charged exactly what he said it would cost. He and his crew were very friendly and professional. They were always on time, and they took exactly as long to do that job as they said they would. We were very thankful to Ira and his crew for saving us from a horrible situation. They did great work. The work was very challenging, but they figured it all out and did so with a smile. We highly recommend this contractor.
Description of Work: We had our house lifted and the first contractor left us up in the air for 8 months. Merkava took over the job and finished the wood portion of the foundation including installation of the beams, posts, post footings, pony walls and sheeting.

Description of Work: piling driving to jack home close to 4 inches. Ira and crew installed 48 pin piles and jacked house.

+ -1 moreIra Seuss and his 2 crew were efficient, neat, easy to work with and great problem solvers. Ira ran into some challenges that required some extra work but he stuck with it and his original price. It took a couple days longer than expected and ran into some wet weather but no problems. There were only some minor cracks in the walls afterwards and the basement floor was restored to near original condition in the holes and they filled and smoothed out some foundation cracks with grout. We highly recommend Merkava and this kind of fix to the typical settling in our area.
Description of Work: Merkava leveled our sunken concrete foundation by lifting one side of the house to near level using hydraulic jacks and pin piles. Our 1945 house had settled in one corner many years ago, including a dining room addition. Our kitchen floor sloped about 5 inches and we had one side of our stove on a nearly an inch shim. The work involved excavating about a dozen holes roughly 2 ft square inside our basement, jack hammering 3 steel pipe piles to refusal in each, then casting concrete footings for the hydraulic jacks which were then relieved with permanent screw jacks left in place with high tensile concrete backfill to carry the foundation loads. It did take a while to get on their schedule but was worth the wait.

Description of Work: I called, spoke to owner;my job/work was a sunken single piling. Owner said that was a really simple job, handyman could do, and his skillset was in harder, bigger jobs. (I applaud him for that). I ended up doing the work myself, with a friend savvy in this stuff. Was medium difficulty
