Everything went smooth. Darrell was communicative and did high quality work.

Darrell was excellent during the framing stage. It was clearly the work he enjoyed. They were there every day as planned and made progress quickly. Other contractors we hired later on commented on how good the framing was--level, plumb. However as the framing ended, so did Darrell's interest in the project. The pace of the work slowed dramatically and what could have been done in a couple of weeks stretched out 3 months. When winter came we started to notice leaks into our living room/dining room and kitchen from the roof deck. We ended up settling out of court with Darrell's bond and insurance company.

Overall the project went well. We had the typical challanges associated with reroofing and weather but Darrell was very attentive, and checked in often during roofing. Given that it was a barn all worked out fine. Darrell was very creative in sourcing materials and as a result we got a terrific roof at a great value. The quality of carpentry work is excellent. Clearly, Darrell know his way around. The help he used was equally capable; all were respectfull and generally maintained a safe, clean site. We've since hired Darrell for another small job and will use him again.
