They did a great job, we were out of town when they did the work and when we returned you couldn't tell they were even here, except for the new shingles, gutters, and down spouts.

Inspected roof after replacing a few shingles. Roof was 21 years old and we were told it should last for several more years.

We asked Gregg Roofing to clean the moss off of our roof, treat it with zinc zulfate and make some minor repairs on the roof and around the chimney and repaint around the chimney.

Water was coming down behind the gutters on my roof, and causing damage and coming in a porch area so that I could not use it. I had several estimates for repair and found them all to be in about the same cost area. I liked what seemed the most in depth evaluation of the problem, provided by Gregg Roofing. When it came down to the actual fixing instead of checking out where the water was actually coming from, they repaired what Kevin termed as "always the cause " of this type of leak. It wasn't, however and the leak wasn't changed at all. They came back, and instead of investigating further, they just extended the waterproofing material a little further up the roof which added expense and more work for them. That did not fix it either .This time, they took off more tile and found the actual problem, which turned out to be some faulty flashing around skylights or chimney. I would have thought that they would have put water on the roof and searched for the cause in the first place. Instead of the $2700 I thought I was going to pay, I had to a bill for $3500. There were some boards that really looked to be in bad condition and I had asked to have them replaced, which didn't happen, and there was still water coming down in the porch area that was one of the reasons I wanted to get the roof fixed, so I thought they were going to come back and fix that. Kevin called one morning and said he wanted to come out and see how the work looked. When he got here, he did a quick look, and determined that the water was from a bad seal in the gutter. He said they needed to get paid. I asked about the boards and that gutter seal. He said " Well, if you write me a check right now we can come out and do that.". I agreed and after he had the check in hand but didn't say anything about coming out to fix those things. I asked about it, and he started talking about how much they would charge He never said they were going to charge me more to fix those things., he said if I wrote him a check they would come do it. That seemed like something that should have been done as part of the repair. When I reminded that he said if I wrote him a check right then, they would come out and fix that. Then he said "I never said we would do it for free, did I?" I told him no, but it sounded like if I wrote him a check for the whole amount right then, he would take care of it. I had not delayed in paying him, I just didn't think they were finished. So now, the actual roof isn't leaking, I don't think, but I am left with how to stop the water from coming in on the porch, and taking care of the bad looking spots, myself. I felt bad they had to come so many times, but it was their own fault for not checking out the problem thoroughly, in the first place .I think if they had, it wouldn't have cost me the extra amount. I am not really happy with the water still coming in on my porch , either. That would have been a simple thing for them to fix, not so simple for me. I did like them, I just am not as satisfied as I could be.

Overall the process from beginning to end went very well. We called to set an appointment for an estimate of repairs, the estimate was completed in a timely manner, work was authorized to be done, and within a matter of a few days the work was done. We were expecting a long lead time as this was during a busy time of year for roof repairs, but were pleasantly surprised at prompt service.

I called Gregg Roofing on hearing water dripping inside the house after a heavy rain. Gregg sent someone out the same day to give an estimate. The estimate seemed reasonable but once the roofing was torn off in the suspected area, found more extensive evidence of water getting under the shingles. The roofer showed me where and how water was getting in. The bill ended up being more than the estimate but I had made the decision to replace additional plywood even though it was "only" wet and not damaged. In the end there were more materials and more time involved than could have been predicted with the original estimate. From leak to "fix" took little more than 24 hours.

They were very good, It was easy to schedule and they were great people to work with.

The crew did a great job, cleaned all debris and went on their way. They were professional and polite. The price was exactly the estimate.

The gentleman called ahead to say he was coming and where he was coming from . We knew he was coming in traffic and would arrive as soon as he could. He got on the roof to check out the situation, told us he could repair it and we asked if there were any problems and he said there were a few areas that could use some caulking. He was very honest quick to get the job done. We have had some worse storms since and the zinc strips are still there. When it comes time for a new roof we will contact them.

Dave was prompt and responsive. He completed the repair as defined within the agreed time frame and rate. I would use them again.

He seemed very knowledgeable. He looked all around the roof. I was going to use him but he never called me back. He was also late when he initally came.

I sent a request for service on October 10th. On October 11th, I got an email indicating that due to the busy schedule, it would be early the following week before I got a call to discuss service. That week I did not get a call. The following week, I did not get a call. Finally, the 3rd week I decided this company is too busy for my job. I am disappointed because this was the 1st company I contacted through Angie's List, who by the way, shows a very high rating for this company. I joined Angie's list hoping to have better luck in getting professional help and based on this first experience, it isn't working so well.

Kevin called to tell me they would be up on Thursday morning, the only "dry" day of the week. A crew of four men showed up. They completely stripped the old roofing material, replaced water damaged plywood, installed the "Smart-Vent" and most of the shingles the first day. They ran out of shingles a couple of rows from the top, so one man came back the next day to finish up. They removed all the material from the old roof and cleaned out the gutters. Then, one man ran a hand-held magnet around the perimeter of the shop to pick up the old nails and staples. My dog will appreciate that. He had left "presents" for them, both days, in front of their ladder. Fortunately, Gregg's guys are very observant.

The initial visit was when we were not home, they called me and said they were in the area and would it be okay to stop by and check out our house. I mentioned we weren't home but they are welcome to go by and at least get a visual. A day later I received a tentative quote. I emailed them a few days later to set up a date and time to actually visit and meet with them. Kevin came out and met us within a day or two of the email exchange. He looked around the outside and went through the attic and checked every area that would be dealt with. Asked questions and answered questions that we had. He was very pleasant and personable. He was also very blunt and factual, which we appreciated. We went through some samples he had in the back of his truck and pretty much had it all figured out. A few days later we received the revised quote. About a week later we contacted Kevin and offered the job to him and his crew. Due to the time of year, roofs repairs were keeping them busy, so we were scheduled a few weeks out, which we were okay with. I received a call a week prior to when we were scheduled and Kevin said they had a cancellation and could get our roof done sooner rather than later. We were okay with that. The job took a total of 3 days and the crew was right on time each day. We had them leave their dump truck here due to having space on our property and that way they didn't need to drive the truck back and forth from their shop. They put heavy duty plywood down on the grass prior to driving the dump truck onto our property. They picked up any debris that fell on the grass or around my flower garden every day. They picked up after themselves as well every day.They measured short with the flashing and Kevin came out a few days later and installed it himself. He kept in communication with us with anything that was happening. I appreciate that more than anything!Overall experience was excellent! We have other work we plan to do at a later date and will definitely be calling them back.

We saw moss on the roof and wanted it cleaned up. Other contractors had elaborate or quick plans to do just that. Gregg Roofing showed me photos of other problems - cracks in one chimney, a wobbly unused chimney, and loose flashing. I appreciated that, as I don't climb up on the roof myself and would not have known the extent of the problems. Their charge was reasonable. They aren't located in my neighborhood, so weren't around often and scheduled our work around other work in the area. It didn't take more than a month or so after I accepted their bid, although the chimney repair required scaffolding that had not been anticipated. Most of the job was accomplished within a day or two. It took another month before the sealer coat was applied. Almost all debris was picked up, but I did find some. All in all, I was very happy with their work, and still am.

Excellent! I called their office and the receptionist, Susan, was friendly and helpful. She told me that Kevin would call and come out to evaluate the job. He called the very next day and came out immediately. The job was scheduled for Mon or Tuesday the following week. Tuesday night they'd finished. It looks great. Greggs Roofing sent a bill by email with no suprise costs included. Their work and service was 10 times better than what we've encountered with the individual we used before.

All the employees at Gregg Roofing were very nice, professional, showed up when they said they would, answered questions when we had them, and did a great job. Everything was great despite so much rain and snow (IN MARCH!) during the project. The only 2 things that will take some getting used to are both COSMETIC , are the way the venting for the attic was put on the roof -not the actual vents, but a 1" high area around the house 3 ft up from the gutters which they said had to be done because of the way the house was constructed, instead of putting it underneath the gutters in the wood, and one side of the shop that has commercial roofing instead of shingles, which they said was because the roof was too flat to shingle there. It will just take time to get used to the look. The final bill came in about $2500 higher than the estimate, but because once they did the tear off they found the wood underneath had gaps in between them, so we had to have all new wood put on the house. Overall, everything the did was great, and we would recommend them to others.

They were pretty responsive. They came out pretty quickly to give the estimate. I didn't have to spend any money for it. The speed at which they came out to give the estimate impressed me. I only had two estimates to compare it with.

They were very professional from the start. Their bid was very detailed and understandable. They were not rushed or in a hurry to capture our business. They have a big crew, well behaved, with different skills and duties. Certain parts of the job required a special expertise and they had the people and equipment to do the work. These guys are very well managed and easy to talk to for updates and progress. They cleaned up thoroughly each evening. The owner came by several times during the job to check on progress and explain how things were going. The end product is a first-class roof that has already received positive comments from our neighbors. They accommodated our time schedule and were finished when they said they would. Their pricing was toward the average of the various bids we received and their final bill was exactly as they had bid the job. The entire experience was so pleasant that we would enthusiastically recommend Gregg Roofing to anyone.

They were on time, on budget, neat, polite, and professional. Angie's List needs to update: this company is licensed and bonded. I have referred this company to friends with full confidence.

Very impressed from initial meeting to the final inspection with the services, skill and professionalism rendered by Gregg's Roofing. Had special features and requests for the project and they were all met or exceeded.

The service was good. They arrived when they said they would. They made sure water wouldn't come into our home any longer. They were cautious around computer equipment, and they did the best they could with the aesthetics under the circumstances. They made sure our water problem was taken care of.

I was very impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the workers. I have dealth with a lot of companies in the home repair business and this company exceeded my expectations. This company did an excellent job on my new roof. The workers were so good my neighbors were even impressed just watching them work. My roof has held up wonderfully since they worked on it.
