RAINIER HANDYMAN SERVICES

Started deck over two years ago. Did not complete installation of lighting on deck, customized steps, and secure safety issues with loose boards and unsecured railing. Left flush mounted lights without securing with screws. Met with Mr. Meadows in mid June and he said deck would be complete this summer. No screws in half of flush mounted lights. One flush mounted light busted and would not work. One light is not flush mounted as the others. I sent texts month of July and August 2018. I sent email requesting response. I also phoned to request schedule of completing light installation so I could get ready to paint deck. He has not responded at all. He has totally abandoned this project. Very disgusted with his services.

Contractor did not arrive for confirmed appointment. Did not call to say he'd be late or reschedule, Did not return calls to find out where he was.

James is very professional and handy! Also, very reasonable price!!

I left a message on 09/20/16 since I explained I needed. As of 09/27/16 no one has called me back. This leaves me to believe that the company is too busy to make a courtesy call or this was not the work they wanted to do.

James was excellent. Arrived at the house, took a glance at the space, and got straight to work. The job was executed very efficiently and James charged a very honest price. I will not hesitate to call him or use his services for a project in the future.

Very prompt, professional, knowledgable, and did a total clean up. I would recommend him to anyone.

IT WENT GREAT! James did a fantastic job and we LOVE the new master bathroom. We ran into some issues with Lowe's and special orders from them but James was nothing but the best. He demo'd the entire bathroom expect the bathroom counter. He did titling on the entire floor and shower, replaced the sinks, titled the back-splash, installed a new fan, installed a light dimmer switch and a towel warmer. He had to come back and fix a couple grout issues but all was foxed and it looks great!

I had put in a excellent review on June 10th 2015 with Rainier Handyman services for James,he had worked on landscaping from 5-31-15 thru 6-27-2015 and did excellent work and I was very pleased! I also had put in that he was then going to continue from there to projects inside my home as I wanted to try and get my home up for this spring to sell..James said he could get them done by then. But since then he hasn't come thru at all and has continued to give me excuses and I always said I understood... But now we are in Jan. and still he has not started on any of my projects....and the last straw was James sending me pictures of the remodel he is just finishing! I was to have James from summer on and we'd agreed I was his until spring.. I feel he took advantage of me in putting other projects before mine since he had promised I'd be he would start on mine.... When I called it on him after seeing the pictures he said that I was somehow mistaken.... But that isn't true and James and I both know what the agreement was and now I have wasted so much time on trying to wait and be pleasant and understanding of all his excuses... So now I have to start over getting bids etc. My last comment on June 10th was I was happy that I tried using Angie's List.....now not so sure

Kept promising to finish the work but did not show finally gave up and had other contractors come and finish the job some of the work had to be redone Update 10/20/2015 Rainer Handyman services facts are a little fuzzy: Yes I loved the look of the powder room despite the fact that the toilet leaked that night due to improper installation. The wiring for an in floor heating system was not done the way the flouring contractor specified and had to be redone. Other items that were 9 areas of drywall that were left unfinished along with an area that had to be re-taped due to workmanship. I had planed to discuss these issue with James in person and had set up a time with him. He was a no call no show on two occasions. James simplistic view of my husbands work and that he could not have any interruption to his clients connection is not worthy of addressing in this space, If James thinks that he is owed more money he can invoice me on this matter. I think long and hard about placing comments at Angie's List and that it can effect a business and want to be fair, I stand by my rating.

Part of the reason I wanted to join Angie's List was to provide reviews. I will do a few over the next several weeks but James had to be first. Unqualified endorsement. Can't say enough good things. Used a variety of providers in the process and he was the best. Date is just a guess. The process took a couple of years and use was as needed over a period of time.

Service was prompt and professional. The broken fan was replaced with a newer model that functions better than the old one. We are very pleased with the results.

He's reliable, reasonable and his work is quality. We would definitely recommend him. He's really busy but he does good work.

James was very nice and able to come out fairly quickly after I contacted him, just a day or 2 later. He was knowledgeable and made sure that he explained to me what he was doing, and the process of tracing the power to the source of the problem. He was able to find and fix the issue in about 2 hours, it was something we would have never figured out on our own. He also did not waste any time while he was there, which we appreciated. We will definitely contact him again in the future for any of our electrician needs and other things we need help with around our home.

He got the fan synced to a new remote because he knew how to accomplish that when we'd been told it couldn't be done. Fan has been working flawlessly since (over two years and counting). Price was very reasonable. I wanted him to come back and give quotes on additional work, but he never returned. Hence, I lowered his score because of his lack of follow-up. Work he performed was first-rate. Price was more than fair for value delivered.

Wonderful. We put the house up for sale shortly after James finished and got many compliments on the areas he'd worked on. The house sold in under a month, even when the market had just tanked.

We didn't end up using them. They were about 8 weeks out and we wanted something sooner. Your system doesn't allow for my situation. I makes me answer when I didn't' use them…..!

I got an estimate from RAINIER HANDYMAN SERVICES, but I ended up actually just doing the work myself. They had very reasonable prices. They were also very timely getting back to me. I would get another estimate from them in the future.

They were prompt to respond, thorough in protecting the rooms worked on with plastic tarps, and the final product was great. Would certainly engage them again.

I generally expect a return call or email reply when I contact any service provider. Got neither from this service.

The first job James performed was installing an induction cooktop. The installation went well. A problem that wasn't James' fault occurred which was the fault of the utility company. James stayed late and worked to help resolve the problem - which was very helpful. James re-tiled our bathroom and did other miscellaneous jobs around the house as needed. I recommend James highly. He is in high demand, so its good to get on his calendar early.

We wanted to modify our kitchen to improve it's openness and look. James was able to make excellent recommendation on how we could accomplish what we were looking for. His work quality was outstanding. He was always professional and friendly. The value for the work done was incredible. We do not hesitate to recommend him.

On August 5th, when James had not arrived or called by 9:45, I called him. His phone went to voice mail with the message that he was sorry he could not come to the phone, but he would be out on vacation until AUGUST 19TH! I left the message that our appointment APPARENTLY had been cancelled, and that I would now attempt to find another company to provide the service that he apparently could not. This experience has been very disappointing because we really did like the service he provided the first time we hired him.

James has always done excellent work for us. He has always shown up on the day scheduled although sometimes a little later than planned. Unfortunately, he is very busy and has been difficult to schedule follow-on work with. We would definitely recommend him.
