I'm extremely pleased with my new (elevated from our sloped ground) 100 sq. feet ipe (floor) and cedar handrailing deck; it makes our entry look very upscale. I had 2 other estimates and these guys were by far the least expensive. I liked the owner, John's, attention to detail in his initial estimate visit, and it definitely shows in his work. There is not a sloppy angle or miscut in the entire deck; it looks very professional and meticulously done. I can't stop staring at it, it's so beautiful. Not only did the job get done in 2.5 days, they cleaned up the site every day and took every scrap of debris with them at the end. I also asked them to integrate a narrow, unattractive support beam and rain spout support that runs from the roof down to the sloped ground into the railing design and to wrap it in some boards to give it a more substantial, craftsman look. Boy, did they do a great job. It looks like the beam and deck was designed that way from the very beginning. If I had to complain about anything, it's that it took a while for them to finally do the job (about 3 months), as they are so booked up (understandably so)! I will definitely use them again, once our back deck wears out.

+ 0 moreHire these guys, you won't regret it. We hired All-American (a father & son company) to tear down and replace our old, rotten deck. They did a great job removing the old structure cleanly and without any damage to the house and not a shred of debris left behind. They even touched up the paint on the house where the deck had previously been before they started putting up the new structure. John was extremely helpful in consulting on what we wanted in our new deck, and made numerous useful suggestions based on his experience. It was a joy to watch these guys put the new deck together; they really know their craft. Our new deck is rock-solid and visually pleasing. We had them come back a couple months later to apply deck seal for the first time. Always a pleasure to work with these guys!

John has tremendous pride in his work, is extremely professional and courteous and lends his expertise to the design and project. We let him kind of just go with his idea for the arbor and we're glad he did. We had some basic ideas and he was able to expand upon them to create something exceptional. I'd hire John and will hire John for additional services in the future. He's now my fence guy going forward!

+ -1 moreThis is the one to hire. The price was far more reasonable than the big guys and John was using cedar instead of pine or fir. He did some small "extras" that we really appreciated. Some others would only give bids by phone using Google Earth to make the estimate. We highly recommend All American!

They were always on time and worked very hard to deliver the quality of work they stand by. Their prices are very reasonable, and especially so for their quality of work! + -1 moreI contracted All American Deck & Fencing Co. for a quote to replace two upstairs balconies that had 40 years of wood rot. When John met with me he was helpful and offered a solution I liked. He listened to me and did not try to sell me more than I needed. The John & his son arrived on time and did the job with a minimum amount of disruption. They worked through some incredibly challenging weather conditions (rain, lots of rain) but they got the job done, including cleaning up the job site. They were very professional and just nice people to be around. Both John and his son did not slack. They focused on the job. John prides himself of delivering quality work without taking short-cuts. I would definitely use All American Deck & Fencing Co. and recommend them to anyone who wants a fair price, good service and quality results.

+ -1 moreI had multiple contractor look at my project and was frustrated by their lack of responsiveness. When John came out, he recommended ipe wood as a potential product to consider. After in depth research I was sold on ipe. John provided a quote when he said he would. The quote was fair and I decided to hire John. I liked the fact that he was a single crew operation and stayed on a job until it was 100% complete. We set a date to start the project about a month out. A week prior to that date, John reached out to me and confirmed the original start date. John and his son dis a great job with the installation. They were onsite every day and communicated on a daily basis. The project was completed in the time frame that was originally discussed. There were a couple of items that I brought up during installation that I wanted changed and John immediately took care of them with a smile on his face. I would recommend John and All American Deck & Fencing to anyone who is looking for a fair price, quality craftsmanship and a reliable, honest contractor.

They're bid was middle of the road & they accepted the Angie's List discount though it had expired. I really appreciated their craftsmanship, attention to detail, quality work & price! Description of Work: All American fencing built us a large dog run with black chain link fencing & two gates, a huge fenced perimeter for our garden area with pressure treated posts in cement & rabbit fencing & two gates. + 1 moreJohn and his son worked hard, steadily, completing this enormous job in 3 days. The cabin was jacked up, 23-feet of beam replaced, and they set the building back down onto the beam precisely, exactly level. The deck is precisely installed too, long runs of 2x6 cedar decking are perfectly straight with even gaps between boards. The split rail fence was installed in a naturalistic way, following contours of the path with curved corners rather than easier to install right-angles. The result is truly aesthetic, pleasing to the eye. It was amazing to watch. From one heavy, skillful task to the next there's no hesitation - John is a craftsman. He knows what he's doing, and does it. He communicates clearly about what's happening, taking time to answer any questions, explaining what he was doing and why. I learned to trust him. He earned that trust, I would hire him again without hesitation. Excellent work at a fair price. Where do you find that??!
Description of Work: John and his son Nikolas demolished and replaced 170 square-feet of cedar deck using pressure-treated 2"x 8" joists and 4' x 6' beams. He added two wide steps, with a lovely code compliant rail. During demolition, we discover 23-feet of the cabin support beam attached the old rotten deck was completely rotted from water and carpenter-ant damage. John was unfazed, assessing the work and providing a reasonable bid immediately on the spot. Obviously, the new deck could not be attached to a rotten beam that day because they need materials (beams, house jacks and supports). So they shifted to installation of 100 feet of split cedar rail fence. Not a moment was wasted on Day 1, as they shifted from one job to the other to maintain momentum. Upon return the next day with pressure-treated beams, jacks and supports, John and his son went immediately to work jacking up the cabin, adding temporary supports across the joists. He used a saws-all to cut off the nails holding the subfloor to the rotten beam, completely removing and replacing the rotten beam. 23-feet of new pressure-treated beam was precisely level when they were done. Within 3 more hours, the deck was framed. He added flashing to divert any water that comes down the siding over the beam and back-board for the deck, this detail was missing from the original installation made decades ago, ultimately allowing water to reach the cabin support beam. They expertly finished the 2x6 Cedar decking and rail, moving on to install bead-board panels on the kitchen roof for us, replacing old fiber panels that were falling down.

We initially got a bid from John last summer but had to forgo a fence to put a new roof on our house. We contacted him again this Spring and he honored his same quote and helped us refine the options we would like. He got started on the fence right away and had the work done within a few weeks. The final product turned out great and we couldn't be happier. His workmanship is top notch, he was always on time and very personable, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fence.
