BEWARE: With this company, if you don’t have it in writing, you don’t have a deal! They are NOT the ethical; a hand-shake is their word, kind of contractor. They do NOT honor their word. And, their workers will leave cigarette butts scattered in your yard. I guess they think they will be covering them with asphalt, eventually. They charged us for grading, even though we had a professional grader do the work. The grader that referred us to Action Paving! You would think that Action Paving would be grateful and give a few bucks off for having done that work for them. Mind you, the other company spent a couple of days, doing FINISH grading, but Action Paving called it “rough grade” AFTER the project was complete. Action Paving spent only a few hours, adding the small rock and smoothing that out. Then, the crew spent the rest of the afternoon smoking and joking around. They didn’t even give us their Angie’s List advertised discount. It is no wonder that they are no longer accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and the reason given is unresolved complaints. I think if they were the last asphalt company around, I would switch to concrete for my project! Once they have given you a bid, good luck getting them to answer the phone or call you back. Call after call, goes unanswered. And in the end, you’ll get a text message blowing you off. Use someone else!! Anyone else, even if you have to wait a bit for the job to be done with an honest company!

Looked great but after one year there are areas where vitually all coating is gone. These are not high use areas or anything like that. It's just like the rain and climate have taken away the coating. Maybe this is normal and I was not aware. Expected it to last longer. The service was fast and as promised so have nothing but good to say about the service. Just expected a longer life of product.

They came out and gave a bid. They were prompt and professional, however, I decided not to go forward with the service due to the bid being more than I had expected.

They showed up several hours earlier than expected so we had to rush to move everything out of the way, but then they did a very efficient and thorough cleaning job and had the whole project completed by the end of the day. It turned out good and the price seemed very fair to me.

Tom came out and looked at the condition of our driveway. He suggested the best solution would be a complete overlay of 2 inch asphalt. He provided a quote near $10,000 which was much more than what we had budgeted. While we believe his solution is the best, we decided to do a stop-gap solution that we hope will buy us a 2 to 4 years before we have to do the work that Tom suggested. We will be calling his company again in the next 2 to 4 years.

Very difficult getting a hold of someone. They were to redo my driveway with a seal coat and fill in the cracks. I had purchased an Angie's List big deal for $199.00 to reseal my driveway, but never got to meet the estimator prior to the actual work date. I was sent an estimate the day before they arrived for the additional work that I had requested. I was not happy with the estimate, because it did not reflect what I would have wanted them to do, and it came in the mail just one day before the workers arrived. It would have been nice to speak with the estimator before so that they might actually know the specifics of what I wanted done. The seal coat looks good however, and the men that came out to do the work were very polite and professional. My disappointment is with the crack sealing and the extra charges for square footage that are not accurate.

It went well. i was contacted quickly after my purchase. The work was scheduled within a short time. They showed up as scheduled and completed the work satisfactorily. They were polite, helpful and professional.

I explained I didn't want to resurface the driveway so he gave me an estimate to patch & seal coat the entire area as well as the cost to resurface the entire area. I thought he over measured the area and having received a 2nd estimate he did. His price was higher, and I cannot attest to the quality of the work as nothing has been done. I have emailed him asking if I can use the $199 for 600 sf for something else and have received no response. I don't want to just donate $199. I'd like to either receive a refund or have him contact me so we can find away to utilize his services for my investment, possibly in a couple months. Initially he was very responsive and now nothing.

I was contacted immediately after my call and met with the representative for a bid. The bid was submitted promptly and we asked to be put on the schedule. We were told the crew was 2 weeks out in scheduling but it was closer to 10 days when we got the call telling us they could come. The work went smoothly, taking most of one day. The area is just as we wanted it.

Action paving actually won the competition based on best price...however, we had a baby before we could contract him to perform the work.

Elton's team performed all work in a quick and professional manner. Our initial plan was to repave the existing driveway and add in an RV storage pad but after he completed the work we realized that adding a roundabout to access the RV pad would be idea. The roundabout required excavation and prep work that was done a day in advance. They asked me if I wanted the extracted dirt saved and even helped us spread it in a separate location creating a new landscape area. Elton's team also helped us remove a old carport cover and move it to the back of the property since it was to heavy for us to handle alone. These little extra things made working with Action Paving a pleasure. Elton came out to review the work ahead of time and after the work was done to ensure we were happy. He also stayed true to his bids. We will bring his team back at the end of the summer to seal the new work.

Contractor was easy to reach and communicate with, performed work as promised and per the estimate, completed job on time

Excellent. That was a minor revision at the end and Elton took care of it. The crew was professional and friendly. Elton is competent, professional and a man of his word. I plan to have them do more work in a different area of the farm in 2013 plus returning for sealing then. 5/28/2013 As above I am totally satisfied with Action paving and am planning on them providing a seal coat for the whole road in the fall.

The estimate came via email promptly when he said it would, within one day. He, Elton Mask, was always on time, returned my calls promptly, pleasant personality. He listened to us and did what we wanted and told us what would work to meet our needs. We sprung our neighbors on him without him knowing and he was more than happy to give them an estimate too. (One of them used his services, one did not).
