Accent Heating and Cooling was great! We were connected with them by our home warranty American Home Shield to fix our A/C after it went out this summer. Tracy and Travis were incredible. I wish I could say the same about AHS. Tracy patiently helped navigate me through the warranty process and continued to follow up with AHS regarding the issues with my unit. We were able to get AHS to pay for my compressor/condenser but it was going to be a long wait until the unit arrived. Surprisingly, a Carrier unit arrived sooner than anticipated and Travis agreed to work late to get it installed. He and another man arrived around 4:30pm and didn't leave until almost 10pm to get it up and running. We were so thankful for their willingness to work late and "make up for" the nightmare that was American Home Shield.

Our heat pump quit working, so we contacted Accent. The gal on the phone explained that there should be an 'emergency' switch that we could use that works off of the furnace, but it didn't work either. They arrived towards the end of the day, which was great because it was a Friday and we were afraid we would have to go all weekend with no heat! Travis found right away that we had a bad fuse. Instead of assuming that was all that was wrong, he looked over and tested the entire unit for us. Fortunately, that's all it was. I feel he spent extra time to be thorough so that we wouldn't run into problems over the weekend. He was very courtious and thorough. We will definitely use them for annual maintenance of the unit and other repairs if necessary.

They couldn't find the problem but they took my filters and said they would order some for me. In the meantime my furnace quit working and when I called them, they were snooty and said they refused to do business with me.

They are very good. They have some very good people working for them, and they did a very good job checking on my units, my furnaces. They were very thorough and professional. The only thing that I did not like was the person that came out and quoted me on a new system was very unprofessional, and he did not give me any answers that I needed. He did not know about the product he was trying to sell me. The people that normally service my units were amazing, but he was just on their sales team, and I was not impressed at all. They were responsive, but the sales person forgot to quote back and I had to keep calling and asking.

Excellent. I can only hope the electrician is as competent.

I am very pleased with the service I with by Doug from Accent Heating on a top of the line Carrier Infinity heat pump.. This was a normal yearly service and to check out a noise from the outside unit. Doug was very thorough and the price was very fair, considering I had the same service from another company in the area that charged considerably more. Yes, I will be going back to Accent Heating for any further service.

The furnace was not turning on. The technician arrived and found the problem with a loose connection. He tightened it and tested it several times. It has been working fine ever since.

Our air conditioning unit broke. Gave us estimate for replacing a/c unit or replacing with a heat pump. Estimate was accurate. Installation was prompt, clean and neat. Offered a cash discount. They removed and hauled away our old unit, installed a new base platform, installated heat pump, replaced existing thermostat inside with a new electronic thermostat, installed new plumbing. Explained and assisted in programming new thermostat. Very proficient and easy to communicate with. We had 4 estimates and they were by far the best value for the service.

He had my wife call me at work to explain what he found and quoted the costs and made recommendations. The work was done and the quote was the actual price.

The Carrier air conditioner installed has been working fine. Both scheduler and estimator were very considerate and professional. The electrician was also very professional. There were two installers, one was generally bad tempered, yelling, swearing, and injuring himself (We are not sure what happened first, the temper or the injury, as he was banging on things). The other installer was courteous and professional. Unfortunately, he left the job site for several hours before returning. They did a sloppy job sealing it up by smearing sealant everywhere, then did not do a good job of cleaning up after themselves. They did not seal a hole they made (for a hose) going from the inside to the outside of the house. We did call the company's office the next day, to tell them about the sloppiness and the angry employee. We told the office person we spoke with about the hole and that we had additionally ordered four air filters and they had sent three. The person I spoke with at Accent Heating and Cooling gruffly told me that the angry installer (the employee she knew by name) has been working with them for some time and was very good. We did mention that the other installer, when he was there, was very nice and professional. The person that had given the estimate came back and filled the whole to the outside and brought the additional air filter we had ordered.

It was very good experience. There pricing was reasonable. They took precautions not to be too messy. There are no problems. They cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful.

Accent's estimate was the most detailed and gave the most options of all the bids. Tom patiently endured our 3rd degree grilling of the details of his planned install, and explained how he did the load calculations. Accent was neither the lowest nor highest bid, and they did include some extras. The installation crew worked hard and left our place clean. They were punctual, careful with personal items when working inside the house, and always called before they came and let me know what they were doing. Near completion, we did find a couple of things that concerned us, and let them know. This is not hair-raising considering the size of the job and that our standard is perfection. Tom came with his crew and looked things over and everything was corrected within days. The system is performing exactly as it should, indicating it's sized correctly. That means out of 4 bids, only 2 were able to size it right, Accent being one of them. This is a very comfy system!

It was only 30 degrees outside when my furnace went out. It was getting very cold in here. I called, and he was nice enough to advise me to upgrade my home warranty plan to emergency and I did that, so he fixed it that same day. He was able to tell me it needed a new igniter. He did let me know right away that he had a couple other homes scheduled before me. It was just nice to know that he would be here. It was a few hours before he got here, and he was only here briefly and now it works like a charm. I only had to pay the regular $55 co pay. I was covered by my home warranty coverage. The price grading is not applicable for me.

We selected several companies to give us an estimate on an air conditioner. We ended up selecting Accent Heating. They were very competitive with their quote for the work to be done. I appreciated the fact that they are a small family owned and operated business in the Vancouver area. I had many follow-up questions and I always received very helpful answers in a very timely manner. When the electrician was under the house, he spotted a repair that needed to be made to our dryer vent. Noticing that and reporting it to me was commendable. During the installation process I was called several times to make sure work was going according to plan. Tom, the owner, even stopped by during the installation work to see how things were going. After work was complete, Jason took the time to come by and answer any questions that I had about the operation of the a/c unit and guided me through the functions on our thermostat. We were very pleased with the work performed and are enjoying the cool air.

We had recieved 6 quotes for the job - Accent Heating's price was over two thousand dollars less than anyone else. We were a little worried, at first, about the quality we would get with the price so low but soon after they started work those worries were gone. They did a fantastic job, they were very professional and took the time to answered all of our questions. Mr Hufnagel made a special trip back, after the job was complete, just to show my wife how to operate the programmable thermostat. They were on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for Heating and A/C work.
