Description of Work: Water mitigation and drywall (ceiling) replacement. They were more expensive than other options, had some scheduling issues, and also messed up a wiring outlet in one corner of the ceiling. The workers on site did not offer to fix the issue when I pointed it out, but the owner did call me two days later and offer to send someone to make it right.

Description of Work: After extreme water damage to our home, Paul Davis came to our rescue. I give their mitigation 5 stars. The crew was professional and proceeded quickly to begin the dry-out process. |The mistake we made was hiring them for the repairs. They were a nightmare to work with and they had forgotten that we hired them when we could have hired anyone of choice. |Instead of being our advocate for the repairs to our home, they became an ongoing argument of what needed done and what was unacceptable to our satisfaction of quality workmanship. |They had no respect for our home, (insisting that poorly done work was acceptable. One example: our new floors were put in and we had a 3/8 inch gap where you could see the sub-floor at each door jam. Mr. Elliot (owner of Paul Davis Restoration, Kitsap County) told me that you CAN NOT put a sub floor under the new laminate flooring we had installed and this is why we have this gap. Need I say anymore? They are not willing to admit their mistakes and try and insist you accept their lack of quality workmanship. In the end, we were able to get our home put back together to our satisfaction,(but I need to add that I was brought to the point of mentioning a lawyer). I would recommend to others, they find and hire their own contractors and do not use Paul Davis.

Description of Work: Paul Davis Restoration was the contractor on our Insurance paid Water damage caused by our dishwasher. We did not call them in - the Insurance Company did, but they did a very good job of replacing water damaged floors, removed and replaced cabinets and put in new counter topping. The only complaint was pieces of the original backsplash went missing. They replaced the missing pieces with wood that could be stained and finished. Overall, We would give them a B+.

Once I replied to the bid, removing the unwarranted costs, the lady on the phone said the job is now too small for them to do and that I would have to find another contractor and she hung up. So there I was with a hole in my bedroom wall, cold winter air coming in and no one to fix the leak at the window that caused the mold. I was not impressed. I told this all to my insurance agent friend and he sent an email to Paul Davis expressing his displeasure and said he would not be recommending them to any of his clients ever again. I then contacted other friends who recommended a WONDERFUL contractor to finish the job, He did an excellent job, told me exactly what he would do and when he would be there, always prompt, text message updates, and there is now no leak! His work was impeccable! So in the end, not having Paul Davis do the work was a good thing as I found someone so much better to do the job, and his price was excellent!
Description of Work: I contacted Paul Davis in the fall of 2013 (on the recommendation of a trusted insurance agent who said his company uses Paul Davis)to deal with an issue of mold on an interior wall due to a leak around a window. The first person to come out assured me that the company could do the work. $130. However, he did not come back when he said he would, which meant time off from my work for me. When he did come, he took off the sheet rock, saw the mold and said he would be back. $130. He came back and sprayed and cleaned the mold. The wall was an exterior wall with only siding between the interior and the cold outside; 2'x3' hole with no insulation and the leaky window was not fixed. He said he would call me in a "day or two" and it was two weeks when I finally called the office. They had yet to give me a bid to finish the work of finding the leak, sealing it and replacing the insulation, sheetrock, tape and texture. I finally got a bid. They included a $250 charge to haul debris - the only debris would have been trim from around the exterior of the window. This debris would fit in my garbage can. They were going to charge me to paint when I told the first guy I would do it. They were going to charge me for the baseboard and for painting the baseboards when I told the first guy I already had the painted baseboards ready to go.

Absolutely super experience with this business. Very prompt response to the emergency call for service. On-site crew was quiet, effective, professional, and well-supervised. Initial response (immediate damage control) was very competent and efficient. Plan for repair-construction was well-thought-out and attentive to homeowner's needs. Quotes were promptly provided and adhered to. Work proceeded as planned, although it took about a week longer than initially anticipated. We are very pleased with the results - everything matches, and you cannot tell there was ever any damage. I would use this firm again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Two-part effort: (1) remove effluent, damaged furniture, and damaged drywall resulting from a water heater failure; (2) replace damaged drywall and baseboard, along with cleaning carpet in the affected areas.

I had two bathrooms to be renovated, but after the finished the first one, based on their performance, I didn't renovate the second one. I provided my own materials and the bathtub with the fixtures. Their quality of work was less than expected.
