Getting in contact with him was hard at first, but he was highly recommended so I stuck with it. He did finally come out and take a look at the job, and it would have been a big job, replacing and repairing a leaking basement, that would have meant replacing the driveway and a drain. I say that because it was not some small job that would have yielded him no money. We told him we wanted him to do the job, he agreed to get us a quote within a few days, after a week I called and he said he was busy and would call me soon. Two weeks later I emailed to no avail. I called again and he said he was out of town and would get back with me when he returned. Two more weeks passed, I called his office,, he was out, so I left him a message, it is now August and still never heard from him. Good luck getting a hold of him and even if you do he may or may not call back. Horrible customer service.

He came to see the site and give the bid, and did an excellent job of explaining the scope of the project and answering our questions. He returned on our scheduled date with several men to do the excavation and drainage project. After the weekend, he came back with blocks and more men to build the retaining wall. A fast, thorough and efficient job. In mud!
Description of Work: Excavation to replace footing drain and put protective barrier on one side of house with daylight basement. He also put a clean-out in the septic tank line that went through the area, and built a retaining wall.
Ed Heuss did a fantastic job waterproofing my basement exterior foundation wall. He had to remove pavers and concrete prior to the excavation, then dig down about 10 feet to expose the back wall. He installed a footing drain system and cleaned, sprayed and covered the exterior wall with his waterproofing products. Ed's scope of work was thoroughly planned out. He did an outstanding job communicating with me ahead of the project and throughout the project. I asked him to record the progress for my home records and Ed took excellent pictures of the work at every stage. As a long-time home owner, I felt that Ed's experience and professionalism were the best I've seen or worked with. When it came to the finishing touches, after the excavation and waterpoofing was completed, Ed coordinated the concrete work that 'capped' the project. I had asked Ed to remove an old creosote log bulkhead adjacent to my old walkway. Ed helped me figure out the best solution to create a new, and much more functional and environmentally friendly, way of creating a separation. Finally, I wanted the new concrete walkway that Ed was installing to look as nice as possible without breaking the bank. I gave Ed some internet pictures of stamped concrete work that looked like slate and Ed turned that into exactly what I wanted! Ed followed every detail and it turned out great! I will absolutely hire Ed again for my future projects. He was timely, dedicated, and stayed on budget. Ed is a professional who cares about his workmanship and, most importantly, my satisfaction!

Ed incorporated existing drainage lines when he could and improved lines that were no longer functioning optimally.
