It was the most horrible experience I ever had. not only they ruined my heat pump by shorting the main motherboard, installing the unit with a flex pipe which was tangled and making noises all the time. Finally Mitsubishi and Gensco (the Mitsubishi reseller) came to my house and Mitsubishi an agreed that the install was not up to standards. The Gensco rep was in site for the repairs but the vacuum required to verify that there were no leaks was never achieved. So now my heating system is not running and there is a big leak in the unit they install. since it is behind the wall I will need to reopen the wall (which I have to fix anyways given the horrible job they made putting it back). The cost for the repairs about $1000 to $1200 replace the line from the outside unit to the inside unit. Nick and Jeff are 2 of most unreliable people I have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor hire a different company. Update, the damage was worse the cost were $4300+

Economy had an opening in early July to come install the system suggesting that my job was solidly on calendar. Performance? There was a rolling stock of electricians. Two showed up the first day. One 'found' something wrong while I was oversighting the day's progress; he called Nick Garcia, in my presence. A great deal of exchange about THE PROBLEM transpired. Visibly, duct/electrical/exterior work had commenced, the old furnace ripped out. They were so far along, I felt pinned. THE PROBLEM?: Instead of 220 service, there was 120 service to the house from the power pole. The entire electrical configuration necessitated change out of the meter/weather head. Economy needed an additional 1200$ to continue the job or they'd have to drop it and reschedule for some other time . . . I wrote a check. I never again saw the electrician who contacted Nick Garcia regarding PROBLEM/1200$; I did see the second electrician. He kept weird working hours. Didn't often work day shift but could certainly progress the job during evenings - there was no other way to work it. On one occasion, he worked up to 9PM on another 9:30-10PM. I stopped that. Workmanship issues: Lights and sockets that operated when I left for work @ morning no longer worked @ evening when I returned. I called those issues to the attention of that same electrician. He couldn't find the problem. He'd have to reschedule to resolve; didn't have the correct tools or time. In that same exchange, I understand from witnesses - the electrician had a profanity laden fit, streetside, in front of my house, at his company's van. He and yet another electrician were dispatched the next day to troubleshoot. Economy has failed every L&I inspection. L&I can verify the history of corrections/failures. I called an independent (licensed) electrician. This other company fixed all deficiencies on the L&I correction list except for a sticker required to be affixed to the internal unit by Economy Heating. That one final deficiency exists. L&I indicated Economy could mail the sticker to me; L&I informed Economy. After a period of time of not receiving the sticker, I called Economy to inquire; I was told to come by to pick it up. IN THE MEANTIME, yet another debacle unfolded: L&I being alert to the problems at my job site with Economy, recommended I research as to whether a mechanical inspection had been filed for. Economy had not pulled a mechanical inspection, and yes, the City of Bremerton requires one. When I approached Mr. Garcia about this he informed me that it was not standard procedure to pull a mechanical inspection for a furnace change out. When I went to Economy to pick the sticker; instead of the sticker, there was a mechanical inspection permit - something that was supposed to be posted throughout the entire installation. I picked the permit up WEEKS after-the-fact of the installation. Neither Mr. Garcia or 'Stephany' were at the office for me to discuss this. I called one last time when PSE informed me regarding Economy not being on their list of approved contractors. Winter is approaching. From Jul until Oct 11th - my meter was not locked. I brought this to PSE's attention. I filled out my rebate paperwork and sent it to PSE. Within a week, I was informed by PSE that Economy is NOT sanctioned company. The initial heat pump installation cost totaled $8,500 with tax included in that figure. I spent $10,577.
Description of Work: Puget Sound Energy (PSE), was offering rebates on energy saving products. I needed a new system. I acquired bids, including one from Economy Heating and Cooling. Most of the transaction was telefonic, or USPS. Quality and price were the 2 top factors. The contract used in negotiation allowed for an out for electrical work on the form. I signed AFTER I called and specifically spoke to Nick Garcia (who had indicated he'd performed the walktrhough), to clarify if there was any issue regarding the bid & and installation of this unit - I wanted to be prepared for any issues. Garcia assured me that he had performed the electrical walk-through; a thorough inspection of the meter from service coming to box, and that everything looked perfect. "No problem." He reminded me again of the promotional PSE rebate 350$, Carrier rebate 400$, and tax credit 1500$. I was confident in an 8500$ bottom line.
