It's very irritating when contractors don't follow through. I email Kirk a week a go with the details of the project and he responded with an vague comment about starting the work next week. I responded back and said that would be great and gave him a few dates and he never responded back. Not very professional at all.

Kirk was very courteous, proffessional, and even took care of my cat! :) His work was great, neat and very well done.

I phoned him and told him what I needed, namely to have the floor of an under-the-kitchen-sink cabinet removed and replaced. He agreed to do it the morning of Friday 9/6/13. He told me how I could do part of the job myself, that is, how to remove the floor with a hammer. He asked me to email him, and said that if he didn't reply within an hour, he hadn't gotten the message. He was driving in Oregon at the time I spoke to him, he said. I got a return email and assumed the job would go forward. He phoned the following week and told me he couldn't get to the job until late October. I thanked him for the call and declined.

It took them twice as long as I thought it would. Which meant I had to pay twice as much as the big deal I had purchased. The quality of the work was very good it was just that the estimate and the time it took them were off from what they had originally said.

Kirk was friendly and professional and flexible with our schedule. The quality of his work was outstanding. He even went out of his way to stop by on a Friday evening so he could complete the dog door (and made sure he had the right caulk color to match the door). We will definitely use his services again and highly recommend!

He's really nice, I would give him A's on everything and I would use him again. I like him a lot. I don't think he charged me anything more than the cost of the big deal, he was qualified, he knew what he was doing and he was excellent. I actually had some old computer equipment and we didn't know what to do with them and he loaded them on his van took them with him and actually recycled them for us. I have used him once since then when I needed somthing to be fixed.

This is the guy--the real deal--I don't know how I got so lucky. I have found what I consider to be the perfect, do-everything handyman. He is smart and easy to communicate with, he's never in a bad mood, he responds to every idea I have with "that should be easy," and has extremely high standards. I do not have to worry that he will break anything or spill something and I do not have to follow him around and make sure it is done right--everything is beautiful. No matter how late he works, he always cleans up; he has those old fashioned standards about how to do things right. He responds to my texts in a timely manner and no question I pose is a bother. I could only enter one date on this review, but note that this was a process over about 8 weeks of summer. What I had done: old kitchen demoed, new cabinets, counters, back splash tiles, sink, faucet, dishwasher hook up, new vent hood over stove where there had been none plus electrical, old tile floors corrected, base mouldings added thoughout house, furnace closet converted into washer/drier closet with new flooring and insulation (he also found me a new/used washer drier for almost nothing and moved it in too), a new back door, a new screen door, new and upgraded electrical outlets in kitchen, walls painted, supporting floors under cabinet re-structured, a wall moved to accommodate a new refrigerator, and an entirely new attic access trap door built in the hall. When Kirk has established a history with a client he gives them priority if they have an emergency, so the only time he showed up late (and he told me about it) was when a client had an emergency water explosion. I assume that in the future when I have a water emergency I will know who to call. When he is at my house, he gives my job all the attention, and though a remodel is crowded and my stuff is moved all around, he tries to make sure I can live in the arrangement. If something bothers me, he moves it over, even if just an inch, no problem. He is super easy to be around, both making conversation, or leaving me alone to work on the computer--either way, no stress. We had one day with a crazy hidden electrical box some past idiot hid in my wall--I would never have known it was there, plus being a fire hazard--and Kirk, who is a local guy (so he knows everybody) he called an excellent electrician and those 2 men sweated and crawled around that 98º attic and solved the mystery and basically saved my house from disaster. Kirk brings in colleagues with specialized skills who are perfectionists; those mitered corners are tight, the paint lines are straight, the electrical box is a work of art. I have never lived like this. I have a stunning new kitchen, and many of my "shabby/not chic" details I have lived with for years are clean and repaired as if my 1940's home were brand new. He is not the cheapest guy out there (nor is he the most expensive) but I had cheap guys in the past do everything wrong, leave things unfinished, and then drive away with my money never to return, so you get what you pay for. I am approximating $9,000.00, but I also bought materials, so this is ballpark for man hours; old crooked houses add complications, you know. Kirk and his buddies are all honest and trustworthy; I leave the key--I even leave town--and no worries. Because Kirk has a lot of good reviews you might have to get in line, but just relax and wait, explain your situation, text him to set up your job, and be patient. You will not have to worry he is a crazy guy that will take your money and run--Kirk is honorable, and if you use him you will be so happy with the outcome. Big or small, he can do it. Good luck.

I purchased the "Deal", but we kept missing each other for the appointment. Then he stopped responding to my request after 60 days. So partially my fault, but can't give an A, can't give an F. Should be a N/A.

Nothing was done, I asked if he could do something and he said he was booked weeks/months out ... so I said "thank you", he said "thank you" and we hung.

Kirk was very quick to respond to my inquiry and after sending him a picture of the work Ineeded done, he had an idea on what to do to accomplish the job. Kirk showed up as planned to complete the work. The job was a two man job, I would have not been able to do it alone or with a buddy. Kirk's knowledge was instrumental in the success of the project. Overall was the work was about 3 hours, but after install I realized I made a mistake by giving backwards instructions. Kirk was very pleasent and polite about this and corrected the job with no charge (which was an extra hour). Of course I compensated him for this because it was my fault. Kirk is a great guy and I enjoyed my time working with him. I would immediately call him for future work if needed.

Kirk did a great job completing my TO DO list, including toilet repairs and replacing several outlets. If you like to learn to "do it yourself", Kirk loves to teach/mentor as he works so that you can learn how everything works, if you want. He gave me ideas on how to fix a couple of things, so I wouldn't have to pay him to do it. A little higher priced than some other handymen, but he gave me his Angie's List discount, didn't charge for the time when we had a lengthier conversation not related to his repair work, and he did good work, so it was worth it.

Kirk responded very quickly to my voicemail for a callback. On the day of service he was running a little bit late due to an unexpected problem at his prior job, he called and kept me updated which was appreciated. Overall, he was knowledgeable, professional, and did a quality job! He is very personable and doesn't mind sharing his knowledge which is helpful. I'd definitely call Kirk again in the future!

I would highly recommend Kirk's Enterprises. I called Kirk over the weekend to help fix our thermostat. He replied right away and set up a time for the project early the next morning. He called on his way to let me know what time he would arrive. He installed our thermostat and was also willing to stay to help fix a few doors while he was here. I will definitely call Kirk the next time we have a project that we need help with!

Kirk shopped for materials. He found plastic framing material for the sheetrock that helped make the job look nicely finished.

Appointment was rescheduled multiple times, once because of me and once or twice because of the handyman. He was quite late for the appointment, not showing up until after 3, although he did stay a little longer than the two hours of the Angle's List deal. Two pliths and five pieces of baseboard were installed in the 2.5+ hours. My recollection is that he would be a fine fit for someone who is not handy at all, but I was expecting a much faster work rate given his expertise.

Keith came on time, he took out the old fan and replaced it with the new one. Then he replaced an old light fixture with a new one. It only took him 2 hours to do it.

From beginning to end, Kirk kept us informed of the details and progress. There were no surprises and every aspect of the work was discussed allowing us to pick the best solution for the investment. The work is of exceptional quality and I was amazed at how affordable it ended up being. Very satisfied customers.

Do: Call Kirk for any work around your house! Don't: Delay!

he showed up on time. removed 2 closets replaced toilet and installed new sink and lighting and replaced vinyl. was done in timely fashion and kept me up to date on progress and cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend him.

Kirk is the best and feel so lucky that I found him! He has been to my home a few times to fix this and that. He is always professional, punctual, and a pleasure to have around. He's really good at what he does and a really, really nice guy, too. A+ to Kirk. You just don't find guys better than this.

Kirk is amazing. He took care of several small jobs around the house, including electrical, plumbing, and fixing a broken cabinet. He showed up on time, kept me informed when he encountered problems, and has reasonable prices. I will definitely be using him again.

it went very well. not an easy job, but he was very pleasant and we were satisfied with the results.
