I left two messages requesting an estimate. Did not receive the courtesy of a returned phone call. Regardless of how busy a contractor is, a potential customer always deserves the courtesy of a returned call. I would never consider this contractor in the future due to his lack of professional consideration.

He was on time. He did a pretty good job. The work was exact, he replaced the piece of wood and sealed the edges so no bugs get in. He went out of his way to fix my gutter which he didn't need to do and he didn't charge me for it. He was a nice guy.

As far as I'm concerned, Kirk could easily arrive in a super-hero costume! I was in a terrible bind, and I needed help -- fast! I called Kirk and left a message around 2 p.m. He returned my call in less than an hour and arrived at my door (in Bothell, WA) just a couple of hours after that. My long-awaited hip-replacement surgery was just two days off, and I was trying to install a toilet seat raiser I'd purchased online. It all went great, until I ran into a "frozen" bolt on the old toilet seat. No matter how I tried, my hacksaw just wasn't doing the job. The dilemma was that this need was pretty urgent, but it was such a small job! So hard to find a handyman who can come quickly, never mind one who was willing to come out for such a small job. I found one fellow willing to come out in a few days for about $100. And I'm sure there are providers who would have taken advantage of the urgency and charged more. Not Kirk. He understood my problem and just came to help. He was awesome. Finished the job in about 20 minutes, and didn't even charge me a minimum fee! I am 65 years old, new to the area, and I live in a downsized condo. There are so many times I need help with a minor home repair. Knowing that Kirk is nearby and more than able to do repairs of all kinds gives me a wonderful sense of security. I won't hesitate to call him for my next home improvement need. He is professional, well-mannered, and had a great sense of humor too. Couldn't ask for better. I strongly recommend this handyman.

He did a great job and was a pleasure to work with. He hung a very heavy picture carefully and skillfully. He tackled the door chime installation creatively, solving the difficult problem of hanging it on a steel door. He did some tiny but tricky jobs cheerfully and carefully. We expect to ask him to help us with larger jobs in the future.

Krik was great. We talked about the issues of the repair and what he could and could not do. He was honest and very knowledgable. He gave us a plumber recommendation that could help us with our repair. While Kirk was here we had him look at a door that wasn't shutting right and he told us what was needed to repair the door. We will for sure have Kirk back to repair the door! I would recommend having Kirk come out and give you an estimate.

Kirk has rebuilt our front porch stairs and railings, responded to and handled pin hole leaks in our hot water pipes inside our walls, installed various electrical components, including programmable light controls on our front porch and lower entry, provided maintenance to our various decks, and painted our windows and other surfaces. His work is of the highest quality, reasonably priced, and everything is done with a smile.

My husband called Mr. Kirk twice and left a message to contact us. We were looking to have tile put in a small bathroom. Maybe the job was not big enough for him, even though he claims different in his ad. Not responding to a phone call appears to be a chronic condition among some providers on Angie's list. At least, this has been our experience. Not a good thing.

They were very diligent about doing a good job and explaining what they were doing, and made sure everything was done the way we wanted.

Chinese stir fry generates lots of smokes, and my Vent-a-Hood started to drip oil for almost 6 months despite that fact that I clean it after almost every use. The job requires experience, the hood needs to be disconnected from the vent up in the cabinet. The hood's power line is inside the wall with unknown length. The hood itself has two fans so it is heavy. Kirk carefully covered by the cook top with a hard box board for protection. After unscrewing the hood, he held it up and pulled the power line carefully to make sure there is no damage done to the wall or the hood itself. From his experience, he also suggested to take down the vertical section of the vent to either replace or clean up the inside, if a replacement can't be found. I agreed and he took down the vent for me. After examining the vent, he suggested I can buy the parts in local store McLendon. It took me several days to clean everything up. Kirk came again on the scheduled time and put back everything. Because it was difficult to take down the vent due to tight power line length, he replaced the power line with a longer one, and modified the hole on the wall behind the vent so that the power line in the wall will be secure at the hole, and the rest of the power line is long enough to allow me to completely lower the hood on the cook top once it is unscrewed. With this modification, I can do the work next time by myself. Kirk is a good mentor. Kirk's first job for me was back in 2011. He is an honest man. Even though he charges by hour, he is very efficient. I ended up paying less or equal on most of my projects comparing job quotes from other companies. Definitely a lot of savings on plumbing work! I am very happy with his works, he always discuss the solutions with me before hand, reveal all the pros and cons with each approach, and never cut corners. I really trust him. He also keeps work sites well protected and leaves the house clean when the job is complete. I highly recommend his handyman services.

I am an out-of-state owner. Kirk was initially very responsive. Whenever I call, he picked up phone, and return my email promptly. For my single family residence, I sent him a to-do list and priorities, and explained him what need to be done. He said some items on the list, he could do it. So, I was happy. I arranged his visit with one of the tenants, and it went well. He came on time, and he looked property without any problem. However, he stopped communication completely since then. I was wondering why, no clue. Sent some emails, left several phone messages, but all of them were ignored. Very frustrating, very unprofessional. If you want somebody responsible, he's not the one.

Kirk was late the first day and liked to start late. Due to his late starts he was behind schedule and delayed the start time of my painters; this urgent need to finish on time was communicated at the beginning and I had many moving pieces to my project to get my home renter ready. There were also some reports of water leaking from both toilets that Kirk let me know about and said I should have them looked at. The interesting bit is I have never experienced leaking. Ever. And the leaks never happened again after I wiped up the water that was in his work site. This correlation made me lose trust in Kirk and I actually cut his task list short since he was already busting the suspense and trust was a factor. Painters were delayed on being able to complete their prep work and spray primer. One thing to note was his quality of work was good but all the other things that came with were not desirable.

Kirk responded to my initial call very quickly then stayed in touch by text messages and phone regarding when he'd be at my house. Some modification had to be done to the pipes to be able to make the hose connection. He had the needed parts with him and was able to complete the installation. As Kirk worked he kept me informed of he was finding and doing. The job was completed totally to my satisfaction.

Repair of the vanity trim was a challenging job as it requires taking out the trim on the counter top, re-painting the trim board and putting it back. Another service provider could not deliver this service as promised, and Kirk was hired to rectify this problem. Kirk was responsive to email and text messages, and reported to work on time. He work efficiently and provided advice on other home issues. He has good work ethics and we will use his service again. --Professor Olivia L

Kirk is very friendly, respectful and methodical in thinking through his work ahead of time. I really enjoyed talking it through and understanding how Kirk would approach my projects. He is very fair in is price and in his assessment of his time spent on project. Kirk seems to have a lot of skills and knowledge on how to approach different problems you might face in a home project. This project had absolutely no room for error since his work required cutting a hole in the precise location of where my new oven hood would go. I was very pleased with his work and the outcome. He came up with good ideas to address some of he quirky things a previous owner had done to my 1950's era house. I would certainly recommend him again... in fact I already have!

Kirk came out the day after I called. Work was performed in less time than he estimated on the phone. so that reduced the cost.

He comes to my home one a month for three hours, he does whatever work is needed he is a great help. He is honest and does a great job.

Sometimes, he gets pretty busy but he has been able to help me out. I always end up with Kirk. He is very reasonable. He has been really good. He keeps busy and does jobs for a bunch of different people. I probably think that he comes out and talks to some people and never gets any work from them and he doesn?t bill them. He is reasonable too. For the work he did last month, I told him to bill me for it and he never did. He insisted that he did not do anything when in fact he did pulled the moldings and check on the leak and will have him put it back on. But he has done a lot of work for me before and I paid him for it. He figures things well when it comes to his work. The only problem I have with him is that he has a lot of things to do and to go to. Although he will say that he will get to my place at a certain date and time but sometimes he does not quite make it because of other work that he does. It does not always fit my schedule but I can understand the situation.

the patio looks like new, wonderful job pressure washing. He also did a couple smaller jobs that were easy fixes and did not charge me. Easy to call and text with, worked me into his busy schedule!

He was very efficient and he did the work that I requested. He did a good job of removing and reinstalling the stones. He put in some back up board for it and re-caulked them. His prices were a little high. It was $75 an hour which I thought was a little steep. But he just charged for the time that he spent on the job. His quality was excellent. He responded pretty well. He was having some medical issues at that time. So it was a little difficult to tell when he was going to show up. But he was very attentive. I think I would go with someone less expensive the next time.

He was very pleasant, and he came on time. The price of the big deal was great. He was responsive and punctual.

The placement of the vent hole that was made 50 years ago through the house made the replacement of the outside piece difficult. Kirk found a way to use the original part and stabilize the venting from the dryer. He was efficient and explained what he needed to do. This is the second time I have hired Kirk. Last time he removed a non-functioning door bell button from the outside of the house--he took great care to make the spot "disappear"--you can't tell something was every on the wood siding. He also installed a couple of ceiling lights and re-caulked the bathroom fiberglass shower surround. He removed the shower doors to do a thorough job--not a cover over. Kirk is great at jobs big and small and I will continue to call him whenever I need help. He is prompt and communicates well--in addition to knowing his way around a house!

Totally above and beyond!! Kirk is completely straightforward, honest, and has a ton of integrity. His price was more than fair and he stuck to his quote, even though the job wound up being tougher than anticipated. He showed me some basic things I could do myself, to keep costs down, and was always demonstrating and explaining what he was doing, why he was doing it, etc. He even gave me a lesson on how to fix an issue with my shower enclosure, and pointed out a quick repair I needed to do on my toilet, which weren't even remotely related to the work he was there to do--and which helped me enormously! I totally recommend him!
