Description of Work: We hired Kirk through an Angie's List Big Deal to repair a gutter that wasn't emptying correctly and to repair the seal on a door that was leaking air.

Description of Work: Kirk pulled a leaky toilet, inspected the flooring for possible rot/damage (of which we found no evidence -- whew!), diagnosed the problem and then re-set it with a new & better seal. Also did a small finish carpentry/cabinet job, building & installing a plumbing access hatch in the ceiling of my downstairs bathroom, and inspected for leaks that had caused some H2O staining in the (dropped) ceiling tiles in the adjacent hallway.

Description of Work: Fixed a squeaky door, tightened hinges on windows, replaced wax seal on toilet, hung artwork, hung coat hooks, installed 3 light fixtures, installed a flor carpet tile rug, that's what I can remember at the moment.

Description of Work: They replaced the floor in of our bathrooms. It had gotten wet and both layers of plywood were degraded. They took up the old vinyl. They replaced the wood and the vinyl. They set the toilet back in its place. They painted the room.

Description of Work: I asked for an In-Sink-Arator repair or replacement. Kirt repaired it in 10 minutes or less and apologized for having to charge me the minimum one hour charge. He asked what else he could do to make out the rest of the hour. He spent the next 20 minutes or so cleaning the outside of some very difficult windows and then tried to reduce his price because he still had not put in a full hour of work.

Description of Work: Installed motion detector light on one corner of house and made appropriate directional adjustments. Installed lights regulated by timer on another corner of house. Wiring for these projects was installed from attic to basement electrical boxes. Replaced programmable indoor wall switch for outdoor lights. Replaced light fixture over laundry sink and installed a new light fixture over toilet in basement. Added 3 grounded outlets in basement and added 20 amp circuit breakers to Control Panel. Replaced dimmer switches in bedroom and dining room. Replaced and secured outdoor faucet. Replaced laundry sink, shutoffs, valves and pipes. Repaired basement toilet by adjusting water level and overflow valve. Repaired leaking faucets in bathtub and in the shower. Inspected and caulked inside of fireplace. Added sweeps to two doors. Inspected gutter, attic and roof structure.

Description of Work: Never received a reply from my initial email.

Description of Work: I spoke with Kirk on a Saturday when my toilet sprung a leak at the nut under the tank. We set up an appointment for Monday at 4:30. He assured me he'd call if he couldn't make it. I went to Home Depot and purchased a new fill valve and hose so it would be ready for him to install.He never showed. At 4:50 I called him, but he didn't answer his phone. I left a polite message asking him to call so that we could reschedule if necessary. I never heard back from him.

Description of Work: Our house recently sold and I needed someone to address all the "punch list" items the inspector called out. He completed everything on the list to the new owner's satisfaction, including electrical, heating, painting, and assorted other tasks. The new owner was so impressed that he asked for Kirk's number to complete some move-in projects.

Description of Work: Kirk rehung a door that came off its hinges, he attached a cupboard to the wall, attached 2 towel racks that had come off the wall, and attached a coat hook that had fallen off the wall.

Description of Work: Kirk helped us move some plumbing for a bathroom renovation and do some helpful finishing work.

Description of Work: I emailed this handyman twice to schedule some repairs on my condo and he never responded.

Description of Work: I called Kirk's Enterprises as we were moving and had a couple of areas that needed touch-ups. The bottom of the door leading from laundry to garage had been scratched by our dog and a fireplace mantle had endured some damage from a protector having stuck to it, leaving an ugly mark on pure white paint. We were not sure if anything could be done to remedy the situation. Kirk arrived on time, as promised, and immediately assessed both situations. The laundry door was taken care of quickly and effectively...it looks great! The mantle was quite problematic upon first inspection. However, Kirk assessed the situation and came up with a solution. After finding the right paint color and patiently applying several coats of paint, plus doing some light sanding to smooth out edges, the mantle looked like new. Kirk was extremely conscientious and did a fantastic job with everything...we were really pleased. The mantle looks wonderful. We highly recommend Kirk's Enterprises.

Description of Work: The first project was to installation of lighting: A new chandelier in the dining room, front entry and replace lighting in the master bathroom, laundry and master closet. He came two different evenings and charged us $390 for six hours of work. Some of the lighting installation was not easy. He also adjusted 3 cabinet doors during this visit. The second project was fixing a water leak in the shut off valve above the water heater. He replaced piping and the valve. He also evaluated the crawlspace situation on this visit. The total cost of that project was only $178 which included supplies.

Description of Work: Arrived on time. Even came on a Saturday. Repaired a little plumbing job and repaired a more serious wiring problem. Everything fine now.

Description of Work: Kirk and Terry fixed a number of things that had been annoying me for years. They built a new door for my wooden shed. The previous owner had installed an interior hollow core door on the shed that was rotten and falling off it's hinges. They removed the old door and door frame, installed a new wood frame and built a nice shed door with exterior plywood and trim. Kirk and Terry also replaced a rotten board in the cedar deck, installed a hose hanger, and repaired a fence gate latch. While they were completing these items on my list, they noticed the fence gate was weak because finish nails were used to attach the boards. They screwed the fence boards to the frame and increased it's stability. They also noticed a rotten post in the fence and suggested a quick fix of adding a board to the opposite side of the fence to support this weak spot. These extra fixes will help this old fence and gate last a few more years!

Description of Work: I had Kirk do several jobs for me, this last was the installation of Allure flooring in my kitchen and bathroom.

Description of Work: They fixed my gutters. Put in installation around a door and installed a screen with it. They also found a cause of a leak in my bathroom. They have fixed my toilet as well. They have done many fix it jobs for me.

Description of Work: We are a non-profit agency who has had very bad experiences with construction/repair people. We had a list of items that needed attention: doors coming off hinges, front door wouldn't close right, toilet needed repair, etc.

Description of Work: Installed new ceiling light, new deck light, replaced front porch light. New electrical outlet outside, new toilet, redid grout around sink, replaced outside faulty faucet.

Description of Work: Our GE Food Disposer GFC525F food disposer did not work properly and needed to be fixed. It made humming sound but it does not spin. I contacted this company and asked for help and estimate. He provided advices and recommended to try on my own first before hiring him.
