He called and said he was coming over to paint the hand rail and I told him I had company over for dinner and he said he won’t bother me because he will be outside, so he came over anyway. He painted the hand rail and left. I haven’t heard from him since to complete the rest of the jobs and I would rather not have him come back.

Kirk and his assistants did an excellent job. Kirk checked in with me along the way as decisions needed to be made. The work was done extremely carefully and thoroughly and good problem solving was involved as we have a 100 year old house so things are not always straightforward. Creative thinking was involved! Clean up was excellent. KIrk is very willing to explain everything and he is very pleasant and considerate. I highly recommend Kirk's Enterprises and would not hesitate to hire his services in the future.

I was pleased with how smoothly everything went -- the cabinet is very sturdy now. Kirk was able to squeeze me in on the same day and offered a few different solutions before we selected one that would work best. The price was reasonable (for time and materials), and he was efficient with his time. I would definitely call again!

I called him and we discussed the job and price. He said he would get back to me in a few weeks. When he did not, I called him again. He said he would come over that afternoon to look at my situation. Late in the afternoon he called to say he could not come because of car trouble. This was OK with me since I know car trouble can occur. He said he would get back to me. It has been several weeks, and he never did. I finally gave up on him and got someone else to do the job.

I purchased a $90 Angie's List Big Deal for 2 hours of Kirk's handyman services. Initially, there was a bit of email back and forth because Kirk doesn't normally work in our area but he eventually did agree to come to Burien and do the work for the amount of the Big Deal. When he got there, he did a great job. We have two rental houses side by side and each one needed a repair. In the first house, he discovered that the tub surround was loose and water was getting behind the plastic; and, there was mold on the caulking. Plus, water from the shower was splashing on the wall next to the tub and had damaged the wall. Kirk glued the loose part of the surround and repaired the wall next to the tub. Then, after removing the old caulk, patiently dried out the area around the edge of the tube so that new caulk could be added. While the tub was drying, he went next door and made a repair to the ceiling of a bedroom where there had been a water leak. Kirk scraped off the peeled ceiling paint, cut away the water damaged part and made the repair. He then returned to the first house and applied the caulk. I did have to run to the store to get the caulk while he was working on the tub. While there I also got a pair of splash guards to prevent water from splashing on the wall again. Kirk was knowledgeable, professional and made clean and tidy repairs. Because the repairs took longer than the allotted two hours, I paid him an additional $50 dollars. He certainly did not ask for the additional funds but clearly earned them. If he was closer to Burien, I would hire him again!

The back stairs on my old house were disintegrating, and I had a new interior door I needed installed, the paint on my front porch was peeling, and there were some places in my fence that needed repair, so called a few Angie's list providers. Kirk was the first to get back to me, I didn't really ask for an estimate, but his hourly rate seemed fair to me for an experienced skilled handyman, so I hired him. He recommended a much better paint to use than what I'd used before. The weather kept interfering, so it took a bit longer than we anticipated, but he'd be over here working as soon as it was clear for a while. The interior door presented some installation difficulties, as it wasn't really designed for the doorway where I wanted it installed, but he figured out how to do it. He did an excellent job on everything - was worth every penny. Even after we settled up payment-wise, he was back over here touching up areas that the rain had affected. He was great to work with, completely trustworthy. I will definitely hire him again.

We found Kirk through an Angie's deal. He did an excellant job and we enjoyed having him around. His work exceeded my expectations and he also took the time to give us some tips on some other DIY projects we were planning. We will be happy to use him again.

Kirk really came through for me. He knew I was in a crunch to get things done quickly in order to put my home on the market. He fit me in, coming to the house in the evenings after his other jobs. Kirk was polite and professional. He got the job done on time. His work was solid. He cleaned up after he finished each task. I would definitely use him again and recommend him without any reservations.

It required sheet rock repair all the way through and on a corner. Kirk, who I have used on previous occasions for various projects around my home, came in and fixed it so that you can't tell that anything ever happened. He did it over two days because he had to let the wall dry in between coats and completed the work on schedule. He is always very organized, detailed and keeps things clean where he's working. I count on his extensive expertise in knowing what needs to be done vs. a waste of time, and he works quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend him!

Kirk did an excellent job and was creative at some unsticking a window on a 3rd story. He got a ton of stuff done in just two hours. He was difficult to get a hold of because he has been swamped due to his coupon, but I would definately use him again.

During our DYI paint and closet shelving projects, we got stuck on several key pieces that prevented us from moving forward. Chiefly among them were stubborn wood frames that were cemented into each closet by badly worn screws. Being original to the house (from what we could tell), the screws were all solidly stuck and no screwdrivers could catch on their heads. Having tried for 2 weeks to get them off, we finally threw in the towel and contacted Kirk. Kirk was extremely courteous and managed to fit us in the very next week. We had prepared a list for him ahead of time and briefly walked him through the work after he arrived. Kirk immediately went to work on the closets first - by taking down the wood frames within a span of 15 minutes. Not only did he accomplish what we couldn't do for 2 weeks in a manner of minutes, but he also described his work step by step, allowing us to learn from his experience in the process. Kirk removed various pieces of trim and blinds for us, all the while showing us effective methods and tools to do so. Kirk then tackled a window frame that was jutting out due to being forcibly nailed on top of the wainscoting. Kirk cut away the excess wainscoting precisely where the frame should align to, and then placed everything back together. Finally, Kirk graciously agreed to look into some wrongly installed insulation in our crawlspace. I should add here that Kirk had explicitly told us that he was not thrilled with crawlspace work; nevertheless, he took on the task gladly and saved us from having to hire someone else for just this work. Kirk spent quite some time in the crawlspace and concluded that he needed several hours to fix the insulation, which was time he didn't have that day due to an adjacent appointment. Nevertheless, Kirk outlined the issue for us in detail, and described follow-up steps. We are extremely pleased with Kirk. Thanks to his help, our projects are now back on course. We would definitely hire Kirk again.

As previously mentioned no work was done because it didn't need to be done.

I’ve used his services before and was satisfied so I called him again to get estimates for this job. He quoted me $700, and I was able to get another company to complete this work for me for $485. I feel like he tried taking advantage of me. When I told him this, he denied that he quoted me that price.

I bought Kirk's Big Deal and he far exceeded my expectations. He did a great job and went above and beyond the call. I have referred him to other people who were also very pleased and has hired him again! Great guy:)

Extremely well. Kirk was prompt in addressing my concerns and charged a reasonable fee for the time he spent at my house (not to mention time at the hardware store).

He knows exactly what he is doing, he has a lot of experience. I will definatley using him again for all of my household needs. I didnt have the screws needed to assemble the bed and he even went to the hardware store with me to help me find the right ones!

Kirk gave a pretty good estimate of the TV storage system, in terms of time and price. He completed that job on time and per his cost estimate. We are glad about the job he did with it. He then looked at the attic ladder that we bought and what we have in terms of the approach to our attic. He then gave an estimate on how much time it will take to complete the installation and the price that he charges per hour. He was punctual and came on time on a Saturday morning to start the job. He realized that he will need a helper, so he brought another contractor with him to help him. He gave me a heads up on this change of plan. The work took more time than what he initially said and we had to leave because of our Saturday evening plans. He was professional, did not complain or anything about our weekend plans, came back the next day; i.e., Sunday morning punctually and completed the work. He did not charge me extra or anything just because he took more time to complete the job (in fact he took double the time). He stuck to his original price. He was very professional through out. Good sense of humor. Patient. I'd call Kirk the next time around I need help with home improvement. Thanks Kirk!

Kirk came to take a look at the job we were proposing, to do some remodeling work which I imagine would have been bigger than his typical job. He spent a lot of time looking everything over and had some great ideas about how to do it and what it would take, and he looked at some other areas in the house and had good ideas about those, too. He said that he and his partner would be ready to do the work pretty quickly. And then I waited for the bid. A week or so after I had expected to hear from Kirk, I called him and he was really cagey on the phone, "can I call you back?" The way he sounded, it was like he was dumping his girlfriend! Of course I never heard from him again. I really hesitated a while to put this report up because I know that Kirk has a lot of positive reports (that's why I called him!) but then I remembered that's the whole point of Angie's list. I think if you don't want to do the job, you ought to let the client know. It's not going to hurt my feelings or anything!

Fixed my leaking outside spigot. He spent approximately 1 hour, not including his travel time from Bothell to Mukilteo. Good guy.

Some modifications to the installation site were required. Kirk did a good job of problem solving, and successfully installing the new unit.

This is a very great service. He is knowledgeable in many traits. A jack of all trades if you will. He does excellent quality work, and guarantees it. He is very timely in dealing with your situation. I would use him again in the future as well as recommend him to others.

Kirk called ahead to say he would be a half hour later; he had asked ahead that I email the list along with pictures. The list did turn out to be longer than the two hours allotted but I was very, very pleased that so much of what I'd wanted was accomplished. He even arranged for a friend to pick up our old hot water heater for no charge and stayed an extra half-hour to accomplish the garage-door lock fix to his satisfaction. I was very pleased and will definitely call on his services again!

Won this man's service via Angie's Special on 2/11/10. Kirk did not contact me for several weeks to set up an appointment time, so I ended up calling him. The crux of my concerns with this man is firstly he does not contact you and you are constantly chasing him. He sets up appointment times and does not show up when he says he will or cancels at the last minute. On the day he did finally show up several months after I purchased the two hour service, he had to leave after completing only 20 minutes of the original 2 hours he was supposed to be here. All in all totally and absolutely unreliable, don't waste your time.

Kirk did a great job repairing a cabinet door that we were unsure how to fix. He also installed decorative curtain rods and hung curtains and pictures. He made sure he understood exactly what we wanted and was very professional. We plan to have him back to do some additional work.
