Our company specializes in providing drywall services such as patching, hanging, taping, and texturing. We can match any existing wall texture, including knockdown and orange peel. David came out right away to give an estimate and I had the estimate the following day. He was very personable and made sure to tell us a little about himself, his company, and his coworker Zach. We compared estimates and decided to go with David with scheduled work starting on July 28. David, Zach, and Todd showed up July 28 around 8am. I was told that they had another job that they needed to finish up so Todd would be there all day and David/Zach would be back later. I ran them through some of the additional work requests that were not included in the original estimate(re-tiling patch in shower, several more patches from the plumbers, baseboard). Received an estimate later that day and they even worked with us by using some left over materials from a previous job to help lower the cost. We stopped by mostly every day, and at least one person was there anywhere between 7-8am and 6-7pm to get things done. There was a miscommunication early on regarding when they would be finished (initially was Thursday, then got pushed back to Saturday), but was able to reschedule all my other contractors so ended up not being a problem. They also made sure to tell us of any issues they came across (downstairs drywall was pretty affected by the asbestos removal so gave options of just replace whole thing or fix). Really great about giving us quotes right away and not altering that figure after the fact. Overall, I think they all did a great job. They were all friendly and personable to talk to, took great care in protecting our floors, and kept us apprised of things as they went...all for a reasonable price. Note: Asbestos ceiling removal is pretty intensive and to repair the ceiling after the fact is even more so. We had not planned on repainting, but in order to smooth out the corners between the ceiling and wall, the mud came down about 1 foot (vs a couple of inches).
Description of Work: Smooth walled our ceilings after asbestos removal in ~ 800 sq feet of house, patched up several areas, smoothwalled one wall in bedroom, re-installed baseboards, and re-tiled small section of shower

I will never call this company again. I have several rental houses and had one that needed an envelope size texture repair. This was a simple project that I could probably do myself but I wanted Accelerated to do it because I have a very large drywall project coming up that involved a lot of drywall patch. I had used Accelerated Drywall once before with good results through Angies List. So I left a message on Monday June 16th. After I did not hear back for a couple of days, I called on Wednesday the 18th and left another message. This time I mentioned that I originally found him on Angies List and that I used him once before. He called me right back and was eager to schedule this. He said he was busy but for this small repair he wanted to do it early the next morning. That was fine with me. He said that his minimum was $250 though. That seemed a bit high for a simple texture patch but I wanted to see his repair work because I have a much larger project and if he did a good job I would use him on the bigger one. So we scheduled an early trip for the next morning. I drove to the rental house the next morning (a 30 minute trip for me to Snohomish rental) and got there a little early so I would make sure I was there. After it was 15 minutes past our scheduled time, I called David to find out if he was lost and was still making it out. He said that he was very sorry and meant to call me back the night before. That he really had to go to his Issaquah job this morning and wouldn't be able to do the repair. This was upsetting to me because I did have to re-arrange my morning to make this time (the time that David wanted) work in my schedule. I reminded him that I originally found him on Angies List and that originally I gave him a very good rating. But that I would now have to go on and give him a very poor rating for the No-Show. He complained that he was so so busy. That he did everything in the company. From bidding work to running around doing all the work. That he had kids and on and on... I am sorry that he is so busy but a simple phone call to reschedule would have fixed it all. Once he heard that I was going to review him he was willing to leave his Issaquah job (the one that he "had to go to"). I said no. Because I was really wanting to test his abilities because I had a larger project that I was considering him on. Then later in the day he called me back and said he would do it for free. I guess he didn't want me to review him on Angies.

Several places were not sanded smooth even after asking twice. Assumptions were made that these areas didn't need to be sanded. I made the mistake by accepting an unacceptable estimate. The charge for the amount of time spent was not industry standard or the hourly wage that was said paid. So I was overcharged and the work quality was poor.

It went very well. David and Zak are very responsive. One day, they were unable to come due to an illness and they made up the time on a Saturday. That is good customer service! We were very pleased. We would hire them again.
Description of Work: David and Zak installed drywall over our ceilings to cover the popcorn finish that was on them. (living room, dining room, hallway and large family room). When the ceilings were in place, textured and painted, they put up crown molding. They painted the molding as well. All was cleaned up as much as possible at the end of each work day.

The entire project went very smoothly. David came by to give us an estimate and helped us understand the options. We accepted the estimate and they started the job a few days later. We were scrambling to get furniture moved in time and they actually helped with the large heavy pieces and carried them down to the garage. David and Zach did a terrific job. They kept everything very tidy as they worked. I told them there was no need to protect the floors since they would be replaced and still they vacuumed every day before they left. I particularly wanted someone with lots of drywall experience and they definitely know their stuff. In three days time the job was completely finished - drywall, mud and primer, and it looks fabulous. They gave us a very good price and we are very pleased with their work. I only hope my next experience with the flooring goes as smoothly. We are very happy customers.
Description of Work: They installed 1/2" sheet rock to cover popcorn ceiling in the living and dining area, front entry and hallway. They taped and smoothed to a level 4-5 and finished with two coats of primer.

There were a few problems in deciding how to best cut through the roof trusses, but Dave had a few options and described how each would work. Once we decided on the best option he started work. We were going to finish the interior with some wood framing, but he thought a better look would be to remove the popcorn ceiling. Since that was a job that was on our to do list, we went ahead and had the popcorn removed. I'm amazed at the difference the work has made in the living room and dining area. The skylights are as good as we expected, but the ceiling without the popcorn exceeded out expectations. We still have 3 bedrooms that need to have the ceilings worked on, and will have Dave and Zach back to do the work. During the week the job took, Dave kept me informed as to his schedule, when he'd be at the house, and if there was a delay, what the new time frame was.
Description of Work: We initially contacted them to cut in two skylights into the living room that roofers had added when we reroofed. In discussing the best option to finish the interior we decided to have them remove the popcorn ceiling in the living room, dining area and hallway.

I purchased one of their specials for drywall work. Due to unexpected delays, I couldn't use them before the coupon expired. Since the Fine Print says the special expires, but not the value, I asked them to show up and do whatever they considered to be $125 worth of drywall work. It took a while before he would give me a date, and then the day before they were supposed to appear, he e-mailed and said he couldn't show. I told him I would be out of town when he was available, but he insisted that he had to show up then, so I had a friend there who would show him what needs to be done. When they showed up, they started trying to negotiate prices. My guy repeated to them what I had said -- just do what they consider to be $125 worth of work, but they refused, and instead left. He later claimed to have called and left me voicemail, but there was no message on my phone. Later, via e-mail, I asked them to show up, and he refused, saying he was only obligated to show up once, and since I wasn't there, his obligation was ended. No work, no refund. I insisted that he was obligated to do the work or return my money, at which point he started making up excuses for why he didn't have to. First he said there were no permits. I pointed out that no permits are needed to do drywall repairs, and that the only thing needing a permit was electric, and those permits (and final approvals) were posted. He then irrationally said it was unsafe, and even though I had just told him the electric was new and approved, he said he was worried that if he plugged in his tools the house might catch fire and burn down and he would be in an unsafe situation. Of course, what is even more stupid about this excuse is that the only tools they would be using were hand tools that aren't plugged in. He also made other completely ridiculous claims about safety and such, all of which were false. I should also note that he never mentioned any of this at the time, and only started making stuff up when I insisted that he show up and do the work. He said 'You don't employ me and I don't answer to you." Really? Last I heard, you take my money, you work for me. He was snotty and rude and repeated that he doesn't have to do the work and doesn't have to refund my money. Interestingly, my friend who was at the house to show them what work to do works as a General Contractor for a firm that builds multi-million-dollar houses, and was shocked at their attitude. So -- maybe if your job is some simple little patch-up work he'll be fine, but don't pay him in advance. This guy is a flat-out thief.
Description of Work: Took the money and then refused to do the work. Decided he was too busy and made up excuses for not doing it.

David and Zach were fast, professional, and friendly. They cleaned up the area they worked on in such a way that I never would have known that they were there. A number of people that I contacted for the job never even returned my calls, so David's responsiveness was greatly appreciated.

Because of delays in the installation of the insulation, they had to be rescheduled twice. They were super understanding and did reschedule very quickly. Great job, and great adjusting to a changing schedule.
Description of Work: They did wallboard for our garage.
They did a great job. I was really happy with them! They installed insulation and drywall over parts of the foundations. They repaired drywall in the ceiling. They also painted. I thought the integrity of the owner was really great. I think he underbid the job a little bit, but he kept working and finished the job. He completed it to my satisfaction!

I had a different drywall company come in around the same price as Accelerated. But they wanted to open up a 12"x12" hole. Accelerated wanted to open up a 48"x48" hole to really take a good look at the ceiling cavity for mold. It was a good call because the mold patch was good size and they even had to cut into the wall slightly to follow it. They only charged an extra $50 to go into the wall. They took care of the mold, replaced the drywall and did a good match on the texture. They also painted the entire area and you cannot tell there was any work done there.80
Description of Work: I had a small blemish in the ceiling of a laundry room of one of my rental homes. There was a leaky toilet directly above the ceiling that I had fixed months earlier. So I figured that the leaky toilet caused the blemish in the drywall and the ceiling needed to be opened up to see how extensive it was.

Response from David's Patch and Paint, LLC
Thank you (Member name removed) for your response and allowing us the opportunity to work in your home! Just for clarification the this was a "Big Deal" promotion we were running and it was 4 hours of labor that had to be used in one visit. We can fit a decent amount of work in that time frame and sometimes we're able to get all the work done in less time than what the customer is expecting. Angie's list takes a portion and we don't actually see the full $125 that is charged but that's part of the deal in exchange for the advertisement and the potential to work longer than just the 4 fours. When we send out 2 employees to do the "Big Deal" we are actually going into it losing money even if we are able to get it done more quickly. It has helped us get our name out there though and great reviews for our customers and future customers to have. We have also had the opportunity to work with customers who are very uneasy about letting contractors into their home and build a trust with them in order to do future work with them.

The work was done professionally and quickly. It took sometime to get an appointment booked, and due to some unforeseen circumstances, they missed my appointment which was frustrating as I'd taken the day off specifically for this work to be done. They offered me an additional hour of work at no charge for the inconvenience. It turned out the work I needed done was finished within the four hours originally scheduled. All in all, I would definitely use them again, and have already recommended them.

I had some difficulty scheduling the appointment as the company was busy or the owner was moving and I opted to let this be pushed out a month or two. We scheduled a set date and the owner cancelled the day before due to another project running long and while he offered to come on Saturday to do it - that day was not convenient. In a week or two I needed to call the owner back to reschedule some three weeks out again and the work was done today. They did miss the "arrival time window" by 30 minutes, but my home is more than an hour from their shop and I figured this was minor. The work the person did was very nice however and I was glad I had the work done. The worker was very professional and cleaned up when he was done and I am happy with the work.
Description of Work: As part of the promotion, I used them for 2 hours of sheetrock repair.
