 + 0 moreCurtis arrived on schedule and got right to work laying out and hanging up plastic sheets to keep the dust from his work from getting outside the work area. He then removed the stains using his own techniques so that the "rough" look of the cedar ceiling was maintained. After removing the stains, he cleaned up completely so that all we needed to do was return furniture to it's original location. The look of the ceiling is now consistent and none of the stain remains.
Description of Work: Roof leaks had stained the cedar ceiling of our home. CJP Handiman Services re3moved them so that our ceiling looked as it should once again.

Description of Work: Contracted to paint interior and exterior. Work quality poor. Nail hole not filled but painted over, drip marks in the paint, brush marks in the enamel on the wood surfaces. Insisted on using latex on the wood surfaces and not the enamel we asked for and since it was over older enamel it flaked off when touched. Cutting around windows was uneven and sloppy. We cancelled work prior to finish and hired another contractor.

 + -1 moreBig success! Although the shadow of the stain can still be seen, if you know where to look, he accomplished my objective, which was to remove the obvious stain areas. He was fast and clean. He spent about half of his time masking off the areas to work in with plastic since it creates a great deal of dust. He is also the nicest guy and I would hire him for any paint job.
Description of Work: I have a cedar ceiling that sustained water damage from roof leaks over the years. Curtis was recommended to me by a roofer to repair the stains. There were a substantial number of stained boards. Curtis used a wire brush to mitigate the stain damage. His normal work is exterior and interior painting but he has developed a reputation for this particular kind of repair work.
