Being new to the area, these reviews proved to be invaluable. Our experience with American Home Painting was all positive. Damon was punctual, professional and very easy to work with. He was always in touch to insure the work being carried out was exactly what we wanted. His crew was also very professional and friendly and we plan to use Damon and his crew again in the near future.

Team did a thorough job prepping the house for paint, work was of good quality, and cleanup was great. Damon was great at responding to my questions and concerns at all times.

In the beginning of the bid process and scheduling, there were lots of delays on my part. Damon was patient, friendly, and flexible through all of that. He has a great attitude. He is also very easy to reach and quick to respond, which is important to me. He went out of his way to get me color samples and even painted some of them on the wall so I could see how it would look. Bottom line, Damon gives great service and was a pleasure to work with. I needed low and no-VOC paints because of allergies, and he was able to get those. His painters and drywall people do high-quality work and left the place clean. I would highly recommend American Home Painting to anyone.

Damon is fantastic to work with!!! I contacted three other companies for bids, and Damon was very flexible to work with me on pricing. He's very knowledgeable and meticulous of his work, and ensured only the right primer and paint were used. We needed the window be painted as soon as possible, and Damon had been very accommodating to our schedule. Due to weather conditions, he had to come out multiple trips and took time to finish the work. Damon is always courteous, personable, professional, and extremely responsive (via phone, email). He waited till the work is completely done before asking for payment. I highly recommend Damon's work and will use his company again for more painting jobs this summer. We used them because they were highly recommended. They did a really good job, they were thorough, they were neat and tidy, and they did quality work.

Everything about this experience was great. There was plenty of communication prior to and after the work was done. Damon came and measured the job and gave a fair and accurate estimate. He finished the job in the time he said and for the price quoted. He even applied an extra coat of paint to the walls since they were a deep red and the extra coat made the room look very elegant. Would work with him again. Thank you for a great job. We also had some complicated wainscotting to paint and that turned out very nicely.

Damon and his crew were wonderful. We went from drab beige walls to vibrant, intense colors. The ceilings were painted white, and the lines between the walls and the white ceiling are knife-edge sharp. The paint job is simply beautiful. The job took about 1.5 weeks, and they were great about keeping the house clean and tidy while they worked. They tolerated our three pesky cats (who did not appreciate being locked away from the "action") and were great about communicating what they needed from us (example: move bedroom furniture on Wednesday night so they could paint the next day) so the job could proceed smoothly. I was thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

We requested bids from three different painting companies for painting the exterior of our house. The bid from Damon Thompson was in the mid-range of the three bids we received, but it didn't come in a timely manner. We had two different painting companies come on Aug. 14th and another company came on Aug. 11th. We wanted to get the house painted soon while we were more likely to have sunny weather. We kept waiting and waiting to receive a bid from Damon Thompson, but finally gave up. On the morning of Aug. 24th we notified another company that we wanted them to paint our house. A few hours later we got an email from Damon Thompson with his proposal. This was 10 days after he had come to look at our house. So this company wasn't seriously considered because they didn't get us a bid in a timely manner.

FANTASTIC! Damon and his marvelous crew were unfailingly expert, prompt, courteous, patient, and took extra care with everything - from painstaking attention to the finer points of aesthetic detail, to making sure all the plants around the house were protected (even the 'scrappy' ones!), to just being friendly and great to have around the place! We are the renters of this house, and the owner made several trips up from a neighboring town to make decisions and look in on the process. These guys negotiated around conflicting schedules, ongoing yard work, differing opinions about color and treatment, inclement weather, and TWO home businesses being conducted onsite including a parade of clients walking through their work area on a daily basis! They couldn't have been better. And the house looks fantastic now!

Damon and his crew were top notch from beginning to end. There were no surprises and they exceeded our expectations in terms of quality. We received bids from three other companies that received an "A" on Angie's List and American Home Painting wasn't the cheapest of the bids, but after talking to each company, it was clear we were paying for quality. Damon's team regularly went above and beyond and helped us with things that weren't their responsibility like cleaning out our gutters and power washing our deck. These things were fairly easy to do for them, but it still took time and thoughtfulness on their part. We really enjoyed the crew too. Friendly, professional and communicated next steps. Absolute quality from beginning to end. We would highly recommend Damon and his team for any job!

Damon Thopmson and his crew were exceptional. Very professional, courteous, and considerate of neighbors. They even sanded with a Hepa vac filtering system...no paint or varnish dust was emitted. We were so impressed with American Home Painting, and would reccommend them totally to anyone. When they finished the job, Damon came back and said, " I'm going to put another coat on the garage, it's not as even as I'd like!" Our experience with American Home Painting was very positive from the first visit to prepare an estimate through to the end of the job. Ongoing communication and attention to detail was excellent, and Damon and his team were always pleasant to work with. We were under a tight time frame so Damon scheduled an appointment right away to assess the job and then delivered a detailed estimate after discussing thoroughly the condition of the house and the preparatory work that would be required. He assured us that the work would be completed by our deadline and followed through on his commitment with time to spare. Damon?s team was professional and personable. They kept the site clean each day as they worked and checked with us frequently to ensure our wishes were being met. In addition to doing preparatory work himself, Damon also visited the site regularly to check progress and quality of the work. He and Tom answered questions and concerns promptly, including those about the choice and application of color. Damon went out of his way to provide and apply samples, and we are definitely happier than we would have been with our own initial picks. In addition to the painting work, Damon and Tom neatly and efficiently fit some minor carpentry repairs into the job, and in the end they completed some tasks on their own initiative that were outside the scope of work for no additional charge, which saved us time and trouble and put an extra polish on the job. We are delighted with the result and our appraiser was also impressed. The information for industrial insurance, licensing and bonding was current and we appreciated that they featured safety and health and OSHA-approved procedures in their bid. We recommend American Home Painting for a quality paint job of your home.

When I saw the siding hanging in a place we couldn't reach to repair it ourselves, I didn't know who to call. I found this company in Angie's List, and they're local. I was worried it was a really small job, so I combined it with the work on the chimney cap that we'd put off for awhile. The paint had peeled off that too. I inquired via the web if they would do this work and Damon responded very quickly. He scheduled a time to estimate and came exactly when promised. We had to wait a bit because we had many rainy days, but Damon made a couple of trips and got everything done. He also noted some "dings" on our trim around the garage and as long as he had the paint out he touched those up for us. It looks great and we're very pleased. We plan to request an estimate for our interior painting later this year.

Overall very positive experience. Damon was flexible and easy to work with, and was extremely timely in communication with me (I travel a lot) on any potential issues. Obviously a lot of the work was weather dependent but they did a nice job scheduling around the rain, etc. If you want a company that will do what they agree to do, work with you on any specific parameters, deliver a high-quality service, and manage continuous communications, then you should absolutely consider this company.

American Home Painting did an excellent job in every way. I have a huge house, that required a lot of detail work. They were thorough and careful. They have a tremendous amount of expertise and knowledge. This was important because they did window restoration work, which required both knowledge and precision. They explained in the level of detail I requested what work they were doing. They were available for any questions that I had (I always have many questions!) without any additional charge. They were friendly and kind. They were generous with their time. Also, I was impressed that the crew clearly liked their work and working with each other. They treated my entire family and pets with respect. I have used American Home Painting numerous times through the years, and constantly recommend them to friends.

American Home Painting did an excellent job. They were extremely thorough, careful, and professional. They took pride in their work and wanted to do the best job possible. Damon checked in with his crew daily, and often came by to see to make sure things were going well and spotted anything that needed any possible additional touch-up, no matter how small. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in the house without anyone home. Additionally, they were pleasant and friendly. Damon hires exceptional people and they all get along and enjoy working with him; this translates to a very positive experience for his clients. They were very efficient and they finished the job on time. They did a good job.

We were very pleased with the results. Our deck looks great and the painting was beautiful. Overall it went well and they got the job done on time. I requested the painting be done a little earlier, if possible, for a special occasion and they were able to do it.

Damon was great! He completed all of the work he explained in his quote (which was very thorough), and every thing looks just as we had hoped. The job took a couple of more days that we had all (including Damon) planned, but it was a more than fair trade off when all was said and done. Damon is a very friendly guy, and we had no issues with him coming and going to get the work done. I only gave a B on Price and Punctuality because we did receive a couple of other lower quotes, and there were a couple days that he was held up in traffic or stuck at another job site. We will definitely use his services again, and recommend him to our friends.

AMERICAN HOME PAINTING did a wonderful painting job for us. I would hire them again. Because of the size of the project, AMERICAN HOME PAINTING was in my house daily for many months. The workers were well kept, courteous, easy to have around, and well supervised. The workers were very careful, worked well with us so we could live around the painting, and did an excellent job. There was good daily communication on what needed to be done, the extent of preparation we wanted, and the result was wonderful. I highly recommend AMERICAN HOME PAINTING.

Damon went over the building exterior and asked a bunch of questions as to exactly what we wanted done. He then came back with a detailed break-down of his estimate as to how many man hours the job would likely take and the cost per hour. The size of the job and the many unknowns precluded a specific bid. We were impressed with his thoroughness and straightforwardness as to the difficulty of the job (we knew it wasn't going to be easy). They were very helpful in finding an appropriate deck paint color and one that would adhere properly to a new rot-proof material we were trying out. The crew was friendly and enjoyable to have around all day. They arrived when they said they would and set up and worked in a very responsible manner. They protected plants as much as possible and were in general a very tidy bunch. Their painting was excellent in quality and they set up a punch list at the end of the the job to make sure they got everything.
