They were prompt, professional. They took the time to show us what they were doing and the accumulation of dust in our vents and air return. We had not had our vents cleaned in 20 years. The results are dramatic in the reduction in my coughing. I am ecstatic!

Matt was quick to respond to my request for service. He and Brandon arrived early for the appointment (after confirming I would be available). They were quick and courteous, and when finished even locked an exterior door I had opened for them. I needed only my dryer vent cleaned at this time, and was happy to find their company since many companies that advertise dryer vent cleaning only do it as part of more extensive service. I will recommend them to friends.

We scheduled this work at their booth at the 2016 Seattle Home Show in February. While we were learning about their service, a previous customer came to the booth and wanted to schedule their service for a new home she had purchased. She was obviously a very satisfied customer from before and anxious to have the ducts and furnace cleaned in her new location. Brandon and Matt from West Coast Power-Vac (owner/operators) called after finishing an earlier job to see if it would be ok to arrive a little earlier than our 11 am appointment, which we appreciated. Upon arrival, they walked through the house to locate every heating and return air duct and confirmed the price agreed to when we scheduled the work. They explained their process and how their equipment worked. Our furnace is only a few years old, but the house is older and this process had never been done. Matt explained other services and products they offer at additional cost, but never pushed for any "up-sell" as he answered our questions. We politely declined and that was it. They professionally went about their work, answering any questions I had along the way and explaining what was happening. Their equipment is amazing and efficient, using compressed air to power an octopus-like attachment to loosen any dirt and debris down each individual duct as a huge vacuum system continuously sucks everything out to their truck. All other vents are covered to ensure maximum vacuum from the one in work. We also had our dryer vent cleaned. In our case, it's about a 27 ft. run and was seriously clogged because it also had not been cleaned for some time. I'm very happy to have that vent cleaned in particular due to both the potential fire hazard and reduced dryer efficiency it caused. They also have a great tool powered by compressed air, that did an amazing, thorough job. These guys did not take shortcuts. They were very thorough, careful and respectful of our home and furniture. There was no pressure to buy additional product or service, but they answered all our questions and we can do our homework if we decide to take advantage of additional work next time we hire them. And we will hire them again in the future and won't put this service off for so long. We would gladly recommend them.

Scheduled a time with them at the recent Tacoma Dome home show. Unfortunately, the time the chose was double booked, but we worked out a time that fit our schedules. Showed up on time and did the job as promised for the price quoted (we did add on the sanitization when they were there as well). Unbelievable how much stuff they found in the ducts! We knew there was one baby bottle from 25 years ago but they found a second one, some toys and an empty pop can that my kids dropped down there. The furnace now blows much more strongly and without the dust! Highly recommended to get them to do the job!

What stood out most about their service was their low price for starters. They did all the vents in my house plus my dryer vents for that price. They did a good job.

I signed up for duct and dryer vent cleaning with these guys at the recent Seattle Home Remodeling Expo. I have been meaning to get this done (way, way past due) and they offered what seemed to be a very reasonable price so I scheduled them to come out to my house. They called two days prior, as they said they would, to confirm our appointment. They arrived on time, did the work as scheduled, and were done in just a little over an hour, as they estimated. We added the furnace cleaning to the services once they opened it up and took a look at the accumulated gunk. Brandon and Mark were professional, friendly and conscientious. They had to be a bit flexible in how they approached the job in order to minimize the stress on our cats and dog. They understood what was needed and willingly worked around the animals. It was a great experience, I'll use them again and I'd recommend them without hesitation. It's such a relief to have that crossed off the list.

They went over all services (we had agreed in advance they would perform) and provided a cost breakdown. I decided to add-on the lifetime furnace filter. The two men were friendly and professional, taking the extra time to answer my rather-ignorant first-time homeowner questions. They were also very careful to not disturb my cats in a separate room and saved that room for last. I had wondered about the bathroom fan, and they vacuumed that out, too; to allieve my concern (this wasn't part of the job). Since the lifetime filter wasn't included in the original scope of work, it will be shipped to me from the manufacturer in 2-3 weeks. This job went very smoothly and took about two hours. I'll definitely be using them exclusively in the future!

The team showed up up on schedule and ready to work. They were very friendly, professional and easy to work with. Once onsite, they saw that there were other items we needed to be concerned with. Our Furnace fan and motor had built up a significant amount of dirt and also needed to be thoroughly cleaned. Our system also needed odd sized filters and we were jury-rigging filters for the system. They took measurements for reusable custom filters and placed the order for us. We have been in this home for 4 1/2 years now and we had not had the vents cleaned previously, nor did it seem did the previous owners given the amount of build-up in the system. The extra work was not part of the original job or quote, but their pricing was very reasonable. They also did not alter or ad on additional charges for the extra work needed to deal with the long term build-up in the system ad kept to the original pricing for the work that had been scheduled. The overall cost of 433 was for the scheduled work for cleaning the air ducts, return and dryer vent (139), plus the additional items not scheduled, which were the furnace cleaning (99), System Sanitation(75) and custom filter (130). I plan to have them back out to keep up regular maintenance on the vents a needed.

I have a newer home (1 year) and a new washer/dryer. Over the last few weeks, I noticed it was taking longer and longer for my clothes to dry. I called Sears to come out and check the dryer, the dryer checked out fine but the tech said that my dryer vent was severely clogged, creating a fire hazard. This was late afternoon yesterday. To further complicate matters, the vent was located on the roof of my 2-story house - so not something I could do myself. I immediately jumped on Angie's List and found West Coast Power-Vac and spoke w/Matt. Although he had a packed schedule for the week, he was able to squeeze me in the next afternoon (today!). They showed up right on time and immediately got to work. The whole thing took about 30min. They were so nice and professional. My husband and I met Brandon and Matt at the Seattle Home Show, and normally do not contract without referral or checking Angies list, but they are professional, energetic, enthusiastic, and focused on growing their business. We set up an appointment at the Home Show and they arrived a few minutes ahead of the scheduled time. After a walk through, they wrote up a quote and explained all of the options available. They are very knowledgeable about the business and stayed within EPA guidelines for residential duct cleaning. They also didn’t attempt to hard-sell any of the options. I asked to see an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) on the chemical used for sanitization option and was provided the information so I could research/make an informed decision. The work was completed in the approximate time I was told when setting up the appointment, and walked me through their work before finishing up. They left my home as clean as when they arrived with the added bonus of cleaned ducts. I have recommended West Coast Power-Vac to my neighbors and co-workers.

The two owners of the company arrived as scheduled. They toured the house to quantify the scope of work. Once completed with the tour, they wrote a total quote (which they had done verbally over the phone). Once I accepted the quote, they commenced the work. They use a 12,000 cfm gasoline power suction unit. They performed the work in an organized manner. They are both very personable and professional. This company is in its' infancy but they are obviously dedicated to providing a professional service. Both of the owners have previous experience in this industry. They have taken what they consider to be the good aspects of the business and added their business practices to improve on what they experienced when working in the industry.
