Description of Work: Restoration, refinishing mid-century original hard wood floors in dining room, living room, hallway, 3 bedrooms and staircase steps. The floors had been carpeted over for more than 40 years. Installed laminate bamboo flooring in basement and kitchen. The work was contracted through Great Floors, where the laminate flooring was purchased.

+ -1 moreWe had the kitchen empty and the floor ready for refinishing. Jim and son arrived promptly, worked until job was as complete as they could do that day, then came back the next day and finished. The floors looked great. Clean up was complete. No marks on the baseboards. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: The job was to sand and recoat the hardwood kitchen floors with a Swedish finish.

+ -1 moreThe cheap, ugly floor that came with our new house had to go. This father & son installation team were recommended by the Great Floors store. They came promptly to our house for an inspection during which they thoroughly outlined the project, thereby winning our confidence. We were glad when their bid came in the lowest of three. They showed up on time, worked long days without even stopping for lunch, and cleaned up after themselves. The quality of their work was superb and they took extra care to ensure that our appliances and fixtures were put back properly. They had estimated 3-4 days and finished the job in slightly under 3. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
Description of Work: Removed nailed-down, engineered hardwood floor and replaced with bamboo woven strand floor. Job included laying quietness pad and fashioning trim pieces at stairway and around edge of flooring. Kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures were removed and replaced.
