Did not go well. He came out and gave his estimate which was way out of our budget and what I thought the job was worth. When we thanked him for coming and bidding we ended up negotiating a price for the job. From that moment on, all he did was complain about how the tile I had bought was crooked and how he couldn't do the design my wife wanted, and how all these other big tickets jobs popped up for him and he had already commites to my discount job. I will stay away from the personality differences we had, all I know is he showed my wife and general some pictures of his previous work ( which I don't think are his) and told them it was going to be perfect. I had all the tile, everything was prepped, all he had to do was cut and lay the tile. I had to leave town for work, when I came home, tile was cut crooked, seems were off, grout job was sloppy. He blamed everything on my "crooked" tile. I have tried calling him three times to come back and right the poor work he did before coming on here and grading him. Has not returned one call.

"I came on to the job and the shower was already prepared by someone who does not know the importance of having flat walls. The prep work was flawed before I began the tile work. I accepted the responsibility of doing the best I could with the conditions I was confronted with. I gave a very thorough orientation on what to expect given the nature of the material and the condition of the shower prep work/waterproofing/slope drain, etc. I explained that using a [Member Information Removed]'x2' tile was not meant for a shower floor. There will be splits in the tile in order to follow the apexes of the design. I suggested selecting a smaller tile that would flow with the pre-formed floor. Was denied. This was not a complaint, but an explanation of an improved design/layout to the customer that is more suitable for a shower pan. Shower pans generally get smaller tiles to follow the slope and curve towards the drain than the customer provided for the job. In regards to the phone calls, I received one call/one voicemail with no phone number or call back details to respond to. The general contractor on the job reviewed the final product and signed it off. The general contractor reviewed the work and determined that that was the best job that could be done given the circumstances and challenges that I had."

"[Member Name Removed] , you weren't even there durning the opening/ introduction and explanation . When I pointed out the problems in the prep work that your builder did. There was caulk balls and hunks all over the substrate. I try to explain the problems with your 3 niche cubby hole and your wife's lay out. It seemed like nobody wanted to make a decision to help me. So I had to do the best I could with what you gave me. You were handed second hand information. I wish you were there from the start. This wouldn't be happening. Tell your mother in law thank you for the cookies. Brent"
