Mark was great to work with from the start - his bid was competitive and I appreciated the level of detail he included in his write up. He is friendly and laid back but still straight forward. We were working on a schedule since this work was coinciding with the listing/sale of my home. Mark was super patient (while we strung him along during our sale negotiations) and once we were ready to proceed, he got the work done quickly.

I cant say enough positive things about Mark and Carpenter's Son. Just an excellent, knowledgeable, extremely fair priced, honest and nice person. I know many others in town who have had the same positive results.

He was great and timely. He charged what he said he was gonna charge.

This contractor took over a job started by someone else that had taken way more time than expected. He came even though he had another bigger job he was working on. He was able to schedule what needed to be done, to plan around a new floor being put in. He was very considerate, and was able to work with me, to make sure I would not be without a toilet by the end of the day. It worked out that he did not have to come back late one night, but he would have. I felt he was reliable, trustworthy and capable.

Excellent work. There were some delays but they were understandable. What we liked the most, besides the great work, was Mark asking our feedback throughout the projects. In addition, he was not sure about the electrical work so he called in an Electrician to do the work, at no extra cost.

In moving to Bellingham in August of 2010, we purchased a condominium that had a problem with water leaking into the crawlspace. Even though the HOA periodically pumped the water out, we wanted a more efficient and permanent solution. The building inspector for our home personally recommended Mark and 'The Carpenter's Brother' as a company that does all types of home repair, including sump and crawlspace work. We met with Mark and he quickly assessed the problem and laid out a simple sump and drainage system that would keep the crawlspace dry, protecting the wood superstructure of the building from eventual mold and rot. Mark and his son quickly did the trenching for drainage and added drain tile and rock. They then installed the sump system and replaced the vapor barrier that had been pushed out of the way by the people that had been doing the periodic pumping. The crawlspace is now clean and dry and the pump is working perfectly so far. Mark and his son were a pleasure to work with and were always easily accessible, on time, and very professional. They impressed us as being good honest people doing high quality work at a fair price. The Carpenter's Brother offers a wide range home repair services and we would recommend them to anyone.
