When I called to make an appointment, Swan's said they don't typically come to our town, but if we met the minimum expense of $200 they would be happy to make the trip. After discussing the number of items we wanted cleaned, Angie (the owner, I believe) provided a cost per item and we set a date for the service. The Swan's truck arrived a bit past the set time, but they apologized right from the start. It was not a problem. Some companies underestimate the amount of time needed to get here. The equipment - operated from the truck - seemed to do a very good job, particularly since the fabric on our furniture is off white. The next day, I took an ottoman into the daylight and realized it needed more cleaning. Since I was driving to Bellingham, I offered to drop it off. Angie explained this would be a great solution since they could do a more thorough cleaning job on site. We agreed that return of the ottoman would be worked out at a later date. I haven't seen the result, but my expectation is that it will have been cleaned to my expectation. If it isn't I will provide an addendum. I don't believe that will be necessary. Overall, Swan's does very nice work. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for carpeting, which may be our next project.

The services were adequate. I didn't have any complaints, but I did have a spot that they weren't able to remove. In order to have them return they said they would have to charge me an additional charge. Maybe it was a misunderstanding on my part, but I think they should have told me that upfront. They told me that if I had any questions or complaints then they would come back, but what they didn't tell me is that in order to retreat a particular spot it would cost extra. I called attention to it when they came and it did initially go away, but in a few days it came back. I just didn't think it was appropriate that they would charge me again and I think their rationale was that I had tried to clean the spot prior to their coming out in the first place and that somehow would cause them to be liable. I ended up just treating it myself and was able to get rid of it. The work on the carpets were fine and they were very nice. Overall, they did a very reasonable job for a reasonable price, plus they had a special. They were punctual, cleaned up well and didn't leave a mess. I would probably try someone else before I went back to them, but if another company had the same problem then I'd probably go back to them.

This was the 3rd time we used Swan's carpet cleaning to clean our carpets in the last year and a half. They show up exactly when they are scheduled. The same gentleman came the last two times and he was friendly and professional. He measured out the area to be cleaned and gave me an estimate before the work was started. He worked quickly but thoroughly and the carpet looked great when he was finished. He even left me some booties in case I had to walk on the wet carpet.
