We think he's great. His fees are no higher than the general market. He's very professional, very clean, he cleans up after himself, very considerate of our needs and he did a tremendous job with the dust control and we were totally pleased with the results.

They were very punctual. They did a very good job.

Dan was great from start to finish. He was prompt for the estimate as well as the install.

We received a competitive and detailed bid from Dan. He custom ordered wood to match our existing wood floors. Removed all the old carpet, base moldings, and fridge/stove. Installed new wood, laced in with existing floor, custom trimmed a stair banister, sanded new and existing floors, and applied Bona Traffic Finish. Dan was always punctual, professional, friendly, and knowledgable. He is very detail oriented. The dustless system works exceptionally well. Dan is the person that works the job along with his associate every day. He does not contract the work out like some others do. That was important to us. We are extremely happy with our new floors. They look great! We would highly recommend Dan, and will use his services in the future when needed.

From providing an estimate very quickly to completing an excellent job on time, we have only good things to say about Dan Robbins and the quality of his work. Dan used a green product, Bona, that leaves no toxic fumes, so we could sleep in the house during the course of the job. The floors are beautiful, and we will use Robbins Hardwood again.

Dan came in measured the area and gave us a quote - not a bid. We also changed a couple of things along the way - redoing our stairs in oak and adding a bannister. These changes were no problem for Dan. Dan and his crew arrived when they said they would and got the job done within the time period (and cost) specified, and everything looks great! You couldn't ask for more from a contractor

Excellent. He arrived as scheduled and used dustless equipment to sand off the old finish. He had scraped and sanded around door frames, etc. where the power sander could not reach. He removed and reinstalled our refrigerator and gas/electric range using an air sled. The finish applied was nearly odorless and the result was excellent. We have had many compliments. This was the second time we used the services and craftsmanship of Dan Robbins.

Dan and his guys came in on time, and on budget. They did a fabulous job. The floors, quarter round and base boards and ramps (that they custom built) all look fantastic. I totally appreciate having had Robbins Hardwood do my floors.

We would give them a good rating. They were pretty prompt and they replied soon. They came out and gave us an evaluation. They were competitive. Basically we were gone and they came in and did the job. They cleaned up afterwards and we were pleased. They were very easy to work with and we didn't have any problem with them. We would use them again.

I was in touch with him at the same time that I was in touch with Labrador’s on March 1, 2012. I thought he was very confident with the bidding process, very helpful with the way he described the services and very open and clear and my conversations with him were very satisfactory.

Dan was responsive to our phone call, came to our home to measure and view the rooms and promptly submitted a detailed bid. It was a bid and not an estimate - an important difference. He scheduled the work and it was done on schedule. He delivered the wood to our home a week early to allow time for the wood to acclimate to our home. The work was done on time, the dustless sanding really was virtually dustless and the finishing is great. He is a courteous, clean, friendly and professional craftsman. We will contact him when we are ready to refinish our pre-existing 20 year old floors.

They ripped off carpet, sanded the hardwood floor and finished it. I would recommend them to others and will use them again in the future.

Everything went very well. I am very pleased with the result. Dan is friendly and professional.

The estimate was a couple of thousand under the competitors. They were able to fit me in the schedule within a couple of weeks from giving the estimate. The work was done on time and it looked terrific. The floor has held up very well to the abuse of an 11 year old and a 3 year old wielding hockey sticks and recreating the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the living room.

We moved into this 50+ year old house last year and try to get by with the old dirty carpets. But recently our kitties started to pee on some spots around the house because of the dog urines from previous occupants. Some of the old urines have even soaked into the old wood floors underneath the carpets. So the old carpets had to go. Initially we thought that the old wood floor beneath the carpets was beyond repair, because, for the few places we could see, it is full of nails, staples and animal urine marks. It looked really ruined. While I was looking on the Angies' List for carpet replacement, I found Robbins Hardwood and called the owner Dan Robbins to take a look at our floor. He made me an appointment the next day. He is very knowledgeable and polite, and took time to answer my questions. He also made best of his efforts to reduce our cost, and his estimate was very reasonable and honest. We came to realized that how much labor and skills involved in restoring the old wood floor. Besides operating the heavy sanding machine with high precision, there was a lot hand scraping and sanding for the edges and small spaces. Dan and his employee came everyday early, only took a very short lunch break and worked very hard. Dan made sure that every step was done properly. And they worked very efficiently. We are very pleased with the results - Robbins Hardwood has given our old floor a NEW life and it is beautiful! And it is clean (dust-free), green (no need to cut more trees), and cost effective.
