LOWE'S

We wanted a fence built for our dog and we had couple different companies come by and do evaluation and estimates and most of them we'll take like a month or so and we said why don't we go with Lowe's because Lowe's is a bigger company and we thought that would be fine. we paid four thousand dollars for a fence and guess how long ago that was and guess when it's not don't. it's not done today we paid for it three and a half months ago, they started on it but it's taken numerous phone calls on my part I had one point about a month ago got on thew phone with them so irritated and I threaten to cancelled it, it really wasn't very useful because we still need the fence and they ended taken five hundred and forty bucks off my fee but it's on the Lowe's card we getting late fee and I was it's ridiculous and when we finally got some information and I have to say this they didn't call me I bugged them, the first person they assigned to do like they contracted out didn't know how to do chain link fences and then they reassigned it to somebody else and that guy it was almost three weeks later he finally shows up and he haven't even finished it he left it like nine percent done and ninety percent of the fence is kind of like a chain with no lock on it, it doesn't hold anything in, I can't let my dog out there because the fence isn't done and they done it so that the bottom of the chain fence is about six inches off the ground which means if you have a dog their gonna take advantage and dig under that number one and now I'm stuck with okay should I make them redo it or do I have do the work myself. We needed the dog to get use to having the fence so that we can go to Christmas and now here is December we don't even have the fence done so how is she going to get use to it in for us to leave, I'm so upset about.

They did an excellent job. Minimum ammount of disruption. They were fast and did the job within a day and a half.

Don was very friendly and on time. He did not give me an estimate in writing. He emailed the cost of the project. When I asked for a written estimate he said he would provide one but it never came. The in store rep called several times and answered my questions in great detail but a written estimate was never provided. For that reason I gave the job to someone else.

Lowes sent two people to provide an estimate, the "Estimator" and the "Contractor." The "Estimator" was brand new to her job, told us that she was thrust into the position because the previous "Estimator" quit. She made it clear that she didn't really know what she was doing. The "Contractor" didn't know if our specific area required special building permits (although he said he worked in our area in the past) and instead of offering to find out, he asked us to find out for him. Our specific area is a Community Association with specific construction/remodeling rules. They were late arriving to to do the estimate, and they took about 10 days to get the estimate back to us. The estimate they provided was well over all of the other estimates by about 40%. So, of course we did not go with Lowes on this job. In addition, we will likely not consider calling them for any future estimates.
