It started out great. We had them over to give us a bid on both our 16x24 outbuilding, and asked about them doing some time and materials work in our basement to create a bedroom and finish off a bathroom. On the outbuilding we told them we wanted the roof to match our home, they said it was a 6-12 pitch, after submitting plans to the city they wanted to change it to 5-12 pitch and at first I said ok, and minutes later called them to say my wife said no, she wanted it to match the house, so they said okay, but when the trusses showed up it didn't match the house, as the house was an 8-12 pitch yet they were supposed to be the pro's and know what's what! The end trusses were supposed to be bolted to the corner post and weren't according to the inspector, but since they had finished the building he let it slide. They didn't fill all of the holes for the post the same, so they could send some of the concrete to another site. When the floor was poured-no rebar was used, yet every other outbuilding around us was built with it, and all we got where excuses-especially after the floor started cracking, and still hasn't dried out yet, even after promising to bring in heaters to do just that. They left gaps all around the building in the siding. We told them up front we might want to later add soffits, but they didn't accommodate for that either, and told us about a jury-rigged solution instead. The base had ceiling sections that we made them tear ot and redo, but the drywaller did a crappy job of patching it back together, as well as texturing the portions of area - which we asked not to have done, and then they were so poor he was back three seperate times to fix and still looks like it was done by a blind man-very spotty and unprofessional looking. On the window that was put in they cut a half a foot past where it was supposed to go and had to replace the shiplap cedar siding and then had a fit over the fact they had to fix that. It still is so poorly sealed there is bound to be leakage soon with all of the moisture we get in the Northwest. And I could keep going on, but you get the idea! - Don't use them!
Description of Work: We spent over 11k on an outbuilding that corners were cut on every turn, over what was initially bid at 9k on what was supposed to be start to finish. We spent over 6k on a basement remodel of two rooms (bedroom and bathroom) that had so many errors and included work we did not request, and so we withheld final payment, and after three attempts to fix the problems, we said "Strike three! Your out of here!" and refuse to pay anymore. And have now filed a lien! So we are going public with our dismay!
