Description of Work: Back of the toilet was leaking. They replaced the unit. They had to return and redo/tighten the unit as it did continue to leak.

Description of Work: This is a very well-known local company, which is a pillar of this community, and they are an honest, reliable, and dedicated firm. We have used them for two categories: Heating: annual service for a circulating hot-water radiant heating system; and for plumbing repairs. We believe they are more expensive than the competition, and seem oriented to commercial rather than residential work. On the plumbing side, we used them in 2010 and 2011 to correct a mistake by our home builder: an expansion tank was too small. They were fairly responsive and eventually corrected the problem, but on the early visits in 2010 they did not help us to diagnose it, eventually we diagnosed it ourselves (expansion tank too small) and called them to then install a larger tank and solve the problem. Although we had used them twice before for drain cleaning, in 11/2012, we used a different vendor for this work. We will use that firm in the future. As for heating maintenance, this costs $125-150/year which seems high to us for a routine hour's work (it goes higher if parts are needed. We're not sure if our cost concern is significant, so we will use them again next year (they know our system).

Description of Work: Replaced gas 50 gal hot water tank. I had called three pluming companies and they all had about the same price. Blythe however discussed high efficiency and available rebates. We chose a high efficiency tank. The installation was excellent and soldering new connecters, installation of a pressure relief tank and tie down straps. There was no additional charge for these. After we submitted our rebate certificates we got a reply from the gas company stating that they had just changed their requirements and would not give us a rebate. I reported this to Jeff Wanlin at Blythe and he said they would honor the rebates and sent us a check for the full rebate amount. I would definitely use them again.
