This builder had plans for this lot before we came along. When we saw the plans we made changes to the layout, moving walls, changing layout, making a couple of rooms bigger before they started building (foundations was already started). We also were able to make the interior the way we wanted it and I was able to have the kitchen of my dreams. This wasn't without a lot of work and heartache! And sticking to my guns with what I wanted! During the building process we came by the house frequently which was a good thing since we were able to catch mistakes they were making and were able to get them to fix them before it was too late. After we moved in, we had all kinds of problems! Had to have the plumber back here two days after moving in because my dishwasher leaked onto the floor. Turned out the plumbers didn't put the air gap on properly and the pipe under the counter had to be re-done. The plumber was back a few more times to fix things. The kitchen drawers wouldn't close properly and over three months later we awaiting all new drawers. We have found the windows to be the worst windows we have ever had. With windows closed we can hear people outside having a conversation with them speaking at normal levels. Most things in the house are low-quality for being a more expensive home. They put the wrong tiles in the master bathroom and we told them we wanted all bronze fixtures throughout the house but we have a mix of bronze and stainless and doesn't look right. However, the most frustrating thing about this builder is that they have no problems building the same house right next door! The home buyers that are building a home right next to us decided they liked the changes we made to the floor plan as well as the kitchen I worked so h****** getting and are duplicating it in their house. Same paint color, same kitchen, same changes to the wall locations, etc. Most builders would not want to do this as it de-values the homes and reduces the integrity of the builder and subdivision. The communication between builder and buyer needs much improvement as well. I would not recommend this builder based on the experience WE had.
