One of the bathtubs drained really slow and the kitchen sink sprayer had a problem. He came out at about 10 o'clock in the morning. He did a really good job at a good price. He was very personable and very attentive. I was really happy with what he did.

Our in-sink garbage disposal stopped working -- it would just blow the breaker as soon as it was turned on. It wasn't jammed, and we verified the outlet was working, so we called Washington Plumbing and Heating. He wasn't able to come the same day, but he was on time when he arrived the next day. He tried to fix the existing unit (e.g. swapping power cable), but in the end he determined the unit was faulty. He had a replacement with him and was able to install it quickly. As a bonus, he noticed that the drainage line from the dishwasher had never been connected to the garbage disposal, and he fixed that. He charged $59 dispatch fee, $89 for "diagnostics", $429 for the disposal + labor - 5% Angie's List discount. (The unit costs around $200 online, so he charged a total of about $220 + $89 for labor for a couple of hours of work, in addition to the $59 dispatch fee, so I'm not sure he was particularly cheap, but I haven't had this type of service before so I'm not sure what to compare it with.)

As stated above, it did not go at all. Sadly this company never gave me the opportunity to move forward one way or the other. They kept insisting for 59.95 they would give me an estimate for the gas piping I was also getting estimates on, which I chose not to move forward on. The water line from the meter to the house was apparently not worth their time.

I had a hot water sink fawcet in the guest bathroom fail. It would not shut off and I had to turn off the hot water from under the sink. I went for a few weeks with the inconvenience before calling someone. I decided that I would look for a company that also did heating and a/c preventative maintenace servicing so I could do all that at once. This company provided that service. The hot water fawcet handle was broken internally and had to be replaced. The service technician gave me the option of ordering a replacement part or installing a new fixture. After weighing the costs and convenience I went with the new fixture, which was installed the same day. After that he went on to do the heating and a/c service that same day. All in all, a positive experience.

I called Konstantine and he referred me to a kitchen and bath shop to buy a new faucet since I had a complicated situation in that the window sill didn't provide enough clearance for me to purchase any faucet of my choice. Jeff came over the next day to install the faucet and also a new garbage disposal. He was extremely friendly, did a great job installing the faucet and cleaned up after he was done. Jeff also snaked a few bathroom drains for me. I had been doing research on garbage disposals for sometime and recognized one of the models that Jeff suggested as having several mediocre ratings on Amazon.com. So, having that question in my mind about the recommended product in addition to the surprised cost to install the disposal, prompted me to delay the decision about the disposal. In their defense, I understand the plumbers' experience with installing the disposal may be different than the Amazon consumers use and Amazon may not reflect all consumers opinion about the product. Again, the quality of his work was excellent.

Jeff came o our condo three times. The first to clean heating system and repair plumbing. Returned to install new faucets on two bathroom sinks. We found leak and he returned to fix it but it was not leaking the next day. Jeff is very personable and professional. Explained what he was going to do and the cost. He is excellent!

Estimator showed up promptly and on time and make a thorough inspection of various problems. Said he would have an estimate sent via email on Monday. collected the 70.00 service fee for the call. Have never had estimate provided by the company. did receive one email that said working on it about six days later. In meantime, I was able to have another company out, do the inspections, provide a bid, and schedule the work.

The job went well from start to finish. Jeff pointed out what needed to be done, quoted a price and completed the job in a few hours.

I contacted WPand H and spoke with the owner, Constantine, about the problem. He was very helpful and inspired me to track down additional details regarding the faucet parts required and email pictures to him. One of the plumbers actually made a special trip to their supplier to pick up the parts prior to coming to our home. He was then able to fix the leak and reassemble the faucet right away, and did not need to make a second trip to bring the necessary parts. Jeff was extremely professional, polite, and personable, and we are very happy with the job he did. We would definitely call them again in the event of another plumbing or heating problem.

Work was completed satisfactorily and level of service was excellent. One of the new washing machine spigots was slightly out of alignment, but that would not affect proper function. Price was too high for the two hours of work done; I even supplied most of the parts, so was disappointed that it was so expensive. This was the first time I used this company, so I would have expected they'd try to charge a more fair price to get my repeat business. Plumber arrived within the time window scheduled; had to leave to get parts...seems like standard pipe fittings should be stocked in service vehicle. The plumber, Jeff, was professional and friendly and got the job done.

The problem developed over a holiday weekend, and we had to shut the water off to the whole house. I called Washington Plumbing and Heating on Memorial Day, and got a call back within a couple hours. A plumber arrived at my house promptly at 8AM on Tuesday, the following morning. The problem was diagnosed, and the search for the appropriate parts began. I was notified on Wednesday that the parts had been located, and our trusty plumber was back out at 8amThursday morning to complete the repair. He explained to us what had caused the problem in the first place, and the shower works better than it did before.

It went very well. The plumber new what he was doing and took pride in his work. The only problem I have is that they charge a $59 charge to come out and look at your job and give you an estimate, and then if you give the job to them they don't aply the $59 to the job cost. The job cost is in addition to the $59 service fee. I know some companies do this today, but many more apply the fee to the job cost if you give them the job. I did not have the time to shop around and get other estimates so I went with this company right then, meaning had I had the time I would have shopped other companies who might not charge a trip fee. I found them on Angie's list, so I knew they were a good company, so I just went with them. I knew before they came out about the fee, so it wasn't something they suprised me with.

I had a small leak develop in the main water supply line in the garage. Garage has been settling so is putting more pressure on the original plumbing running through that area. I had originally thought they'd need to remove all of the plumbing (shutoff valves, hose bib plumbing, drain port, etc) because the install was very tightly put together. Jeff from Washington Heating/Plumbing thought that he could do it by just removing a few pieces (and leaving the non-leaking parts in place.) Even with the tight fitting/tight space, he was able to replace just the leaking fittings. (Saving lots of time/money!) His estimate for the time it would take was pretty right on - fast and well done!

We had a minor plumbing disaster when installing our new sink. We decided to use Washington Plumbing and Heating based on the other Angie reviews. They sent a technician out within the hour. The technician (Jeff) was very personable and professional and was eager to show and explain the work that was being performed. We will be using them again in the future.

Everyone was very personable and professional. When the plumber got held up on another job they appropriately informed me of the delay and the options. The plumber was very competent and was careful to lay down protection and vacuum the area where some drilling was done. Estimates and fees were provided before work was started so there were no unpleasant surprises. Would definitely use their service again.

Excellent service from the first phone call to completion of the job. The work area was cleaned up and the quote was right on target. I am completely satisfied with their work.

WEnt very well. Jeff arrived at the designated time. Did a complete estimate before getting permission to start the work. Work done in very workmanlike manner with great cleanup and noticably clean installation. Found a part in his truck to replace obsolete main shut off valve handle. Now my wife can actually turn the valve in an emergency. This was done at no charge.

The plumber arrived the same day we called and checked out the problems we had. He even spotted a couple of other (minor) problems while walking through. He quickly identified the source of pooling water by the toilet as the water line and not the wax seal as I suspected. He replaced all three bibs quickly as well as installed water hammer arresters by the washing machine. He quickly fixed the gas line and replaced the double trap before I knew it. Everything worked the first time and the workmanship was excellent. He even showed me which water meter at the street was mine and marked it with our address for future reference.

Jeff was so careful not to create any messes and did an excellent job. In fact, he did such a great job that we had him come back the next day and do three more plumbing projects that needed to be done. I have already recommended this company to a neighbor and would gladly recommend them again. This was my first experience with Angie's List, and I am so happy with the results!

First, our best experience with the company was some free advice we got in the middle of the night: we woke up at 4am and found that our dishwasher had flooded the home. We called Washington Heating and Plumbing and got a call back in 15 minutes. Konstantine walked us through exactly what we needed to do (helped us find the supply line to the dishwasher to turn it off, then advised us that we needed help from a water cleanup company). He then said there's nothing else a plumber could do, so there was no reason for him to come out and charge us. His advice was prompt (even though it was 4am), exactly correct, and free. After that we were happy to setup an appt for Washington Heating and Plumbing to look at our dishwasher and do the annual check of our backflow valve. The plumber was prompt, polite, and did exactly what we needed. For any future plumbing issues we'll be happy to call Washington Heating and Plumbing.

They were fine. They came earlier than expected and the pricing was in range with other plumbers. They were very responsive.

They were excellent, Jeff the plumber called first to state when he would be there and was prompt and explained want needs to be done to fix the problem and gave a second plan if he ran into any unforeseen issues. Every time was done and I was very happy.

We discovered the problems the day before Christmas eve so we were very concerned about getting the work done before all our out-of-town guests arrived. We were the his last call of the day. Not only was he able to remedy our problems, but he was able to make a diagnosis and repair that cost us much less than the original estimated cost for water heater replacement and disposal repair. He stayed late doing the work for us and pointed out improper installations by other installers that he was also able to remedy. He did a stellar job!

I was impressed with how quickly they responded to my voice message and their professionalism on the phone. I would contact them without hesitation for future plumbing needs.

This same problem happened about 6 months ago. This time plumber recommended replacing pipes behind the wall for about $750. These guys were really good.
